The G-2 Manufacturing Brake Caliper PaintSystem Set was developed to show off a vehicle’s brake components through open-spoke style alloy wheels. It can be used to give all of a vehicle’s stock brake calipers the look of expensive, painted, high performance calipers, as well as add color to rear drum brake-equipped vehicles. Easily applied as a brush-on, the PaintSystem Set is engineered for universal application on automotive brake calipers and drums, and will even help protect these vital brake components from potentially harmful oils, chemicals and rust.
The PaintSystem Sets are available in nine high-gloss, wear-resistant colors that can be selected to complement or contrast a vehicle's primary and/or accent colors. Available colors include: Red, Yellow, Blue, Silver, Gold, Black, Purple, Green, White, Pink and Orange.
Our experience indicates that a PaintSystem Set provides sufficient materials to paint 4 brake calipers, or 2 brake calipers and 2 brake drums. However vehicles with large brake calipers on the front axle and large brake drums on the rear axle may require two complete PaintSystem Sets to assure adequate coverage.

NOTE: PaintSystem Sets have a shelf life of six months and must be used between 56-70°F (13-21°C) ambient temperatures. Higher temperatures will cause paint to harden faster than normal. Once the paint and reactor are mixed, there are only 4-6 hours working time. After that, paint left in the can will harden and will not be useable.
Do not paint the mating surfaces where the road wheels attach to the brake drums. The wheel’s mounting hub diameter should be measured and masked off on the brake drum prior to painting.
Paint requires 2 hours curing time before reinstalling wheels. Do not use the vehicle for 24 hours to allow the paint to fully harden. Plan application accordingly.

Detailed Instructions, 1 (14 oz.) aerosol can G2 BRAKE Cleaner Spray, 1 (4 oz.) metal can Brake Caliper Paint, 1 (1 oz.) glass jar PaintSystem Reactor, 1 stir stick, 1 application brush, 1 color decal.
Additional Materials Needed: Masking tape, small wire brush, clean cotton cloth.

El sistema de pintura para mordaza/caliper PaintSystem de G-2, fue desarrollado para mostrar los componentes de frenos a travé de los espacios en los rayos de rines o aros. Este sistema proporciona la apariencia ofrecida por mordazas/caliper costosos, gracias al color, que también, puede ser utilizado en los vehículos equipados con frenos de tambor en la parte trasera. Se aplica fácilmente con una brocha y puede ser utilizado en las mordazas/caliper y tambores de cualquier vehículo, además protege estos componentes del freno de aceites dañinos, químicos u óxido.

NOTA: Este producto tiene una vida útil de seis meses y debe ser usado en una temperatura ambiental entre 56 a 70°F (13 a 21°C), temperaturas más altas provocarán que la pintura se seque más rápido. Una vez la pintura es mezclada con el reactor, debe usarse en un período de 4 a 6 horas. Luego de ese tiempo la pintura se endurezerá y no será útil. Planee la aplicación considerando lo anterior.
No pinte la superficie donde los rines se acoplan con los tambores de frenos. El diámetro de la maza (hub) donde se monta el rin, debe ser medido y cubierto con cinta adhesiva en los tambores de frenos antes de ser pintados.
La pintura requiere de dos horas para secar. Una vez seca, las ruedas pueden ser reinstaladas. No utilice el vehículo durante 24 horas para permitir que la pintura alcance su endurecimiento máximo. Planee su trabajo considerando lo mencionado.

1 (14 oz.) lata aerosol limpiador, G2 BRAKE Cleaner Spray, 1 (4 oz.) lata de metal con pintura para la mordaza/caliper del freno, 1 (1 oz.) frasco de vidrio con reactor PaintSystem, 1 varilla mezcladora, 1 brocha, 1 calcomanía a color e instrucciones de uso detalladas.
Materiales necesitados adicionalmente: Cinta adhesiva, brocha pequeña de alambre, paño limpio de algodón.

My wife wanted pink calipers so i bought this kit, hardest part of the whole job was taking off the wheels, calipers look great. It was easy to mix an apply, there is enough paint in the can for 3 coats of paint the first coat does not look all that great but when the second coat goes on you can really see the difference! Coat 3 just adds to the depth of the paint,now my son wants his painted orange, so guess ill be buying another kit.

While this paint system is easy enough to use it's major drawback is the marketing. I've been a autobody hobbyist for over a decade now and I've never heard of a Paint product where you can't purchase the material and activator/reactor separately and in the quantities you desire.
By limiting the purchase to pre-mixed kits your throwing money away if you don't use the entire can of paint once it's activated. Which, after painting a pair of new rotors prior to installation, I didn't even come close.
Having more paint than you intend to use will usually make people apply more than is needed for the job. This is why in autobody work it's stressed to activate only that which you intend to use at that time.
No mention is made in the instructions as to dealing with corrosion/rust and/or if this product will prevent it from occurring. I guess time will tell.
All that being said, the paint does apply easily and flows out nicely. Drying time to touch is minimal (less than 1 hour at 70 degrees F). Should be a improvement over stock rotors if no rust appears.
