Just like on my 05 BMW 545i, I wanted to lessen the brake dust problem. I was in the process of doing an OEM Big brake swap and decided to replace my PBR Euro Ceramic pads(a waste of money), which were still close to new, with the Akebono Euro. The PBR Euro Ceramic pads does not live up to it s claims of very low brake dust. The wheels on this car are Black 19"x8.5" BBS LM and are so tedious to clean. I barely drive this car and when I do the wheels quickly get dirty. The stopping power is excellent and the brake dust is virtually none. I love these pads and would never try anything else.

After breaking in these pads, the stopping power was excellent. It wasn t a huge improvement from stock as far as the stopping power and brake feel. But, the stock 14" rotors front and back were already awesome to begin with. What I was looking for was to be able to drive the car for more than a few days without having to clean my blackened wheels. I noticed a great improvement right off the bat. With my stock silver 18" wheels still installed, after a week of driving, the wheels were still very clean. As the summer hit, I swapped my 20" M6 rims back on which have been custom powder coated and painted a Hyper Gunmetal to hide the brake dust. The rims are still very clean and glossy after over 2 weeks of not being cleaned. These pads are so awesome I decided to put them in my Audi as well.

I bought the Akebono Pads on a previous BMW 540 and loved them. I bought new wheels for my BMW M5 (2001) and I would not put them on until I got the Akebono brake pads as the dusting is almost nonexistent. My wheels look cleaner than the rest of my car. They have lasted so much longer than OEM. The initial bite is a little less then they grab like OEM. I just got a used Porsche Cayenne and am trying to find Akebono pads but I m not sure if they make them!! I do not know of any other brake pads that are even close to being this dust free including the EBC and Hawk which I have used.If you want clean wheels get Akebono.

Very satisfied with this pad. Much quieter and smoother than Audi pads and almost no brake dust. Factory rotors were turned and are at minimum thickness now, pads seated with no problems. Allroad is a heavier sedan that is driven conservatively on urban and rural roads with some open highway. Occasional spirited driving on windy road on way home with a couple panic slow downs due to wild animals on road. Pads react very well, smooth and sure. Will use on rear axle when it s time to replace factory pads and will consider Akebono for other vehicles in household.

I have always had stock brake pads from Mercedes Benz parts, but they always made so much brake dust it was crazy. I decided to go with these Akebono Euro and omg no brake dust at all! Literally and the stopping power even i bit better then my stock Benz Pads. I have these Akebono on all for rotors and I m loving them no road noise at all either.

This is the second of my 2 Audi s I have put this brake combination on. The results have been excellent, eliminating black brake dust buildup with no noise or loss of performance.

Had these pads installed at a local shop on the front rotors on my 330i. Feels just as good as stock with almost no brake dust. I only notice brake dust after maybe a month of use while in comparison I have the stock pads still on the rear rotors and after a week of standard driving, the rear wheels are black. I can hear a faint squeak when coming to a complete stop, but that's a very small price to pay for clean wheels.

While we had excellent results with the Akebono Euro Ceramic pads on our 2005 Mini Cooper, these pads made the brakes feel spongy, as if there was air in the lines. I replaced the Akebono pads with stock BMW pads, which restored the firm brakes I m used to, and confirmed there is no air in the lines. Now I put the Akebono pads back in the front, and the brakes are still a little spongy feeling compared to the stock pads, but they do have nice progressive feel and are virtually dustless. I ll leave them on for a while and see if they bed in and firm up. The pads have some sort of thin rubber-like backing, which is supposed to stop brake squeal, but I m wondering if that is what is contributing to the spongy feel.

Was hoping to get less noise out of these more expensive brake pads then Wagners. Still need to break in them some more but not sure if the huge squeal will go away. Know that all ceramic break pads have some break in period but this is ridiculous. Will go back to Wagners again as soon as possible.

very pleased with these brake pads, they acually do what they say they would do. I haven t had to clean my rims yet, with the orig. pads once a week cleaning was needed. also the stopping ability is superb.
