I had Power Slots on my Infiniti G20t and knew that they were good performing rotors, so when I need rotors for my Audi, I didn t hesitate to buy them again. So far so good. They aren t Brembo s, but they provide enough stopping performance for aggressive daily driving without spending a whole lot. The same goes with the Akebono euro ceramic pads. I haven t noticed much difference in performance over the Hawk ceramics I used to have. Both take a few stops to warm up to operating temp and provide great stopping power once warm. However, the Akebonos are quieter and provide a little more feel, so will probably stick with them in the future.

This setup, most likely due to the rotors, drastically reduces stopping distance and increases fade resistance. The pads are silent and clean. They do not have much initial bite, but once you apply high pedal pressure, they bite and the car comes to a stop, NOW. It should be noted I still have stock rubber lines to calipers. I imagine upgrading these would increase the responsiveness given the age of car.

I find the anti-corrosion finish on the ATE rotors nice and durable.

Akebono Euro-ceramic pads are a great all-around pad. Much better initial bite than the Hawk HPS pads with better dust control, and similar bite to the PBR Ultra-Ceramics with FAR less brake dust and noise. I have not tried them on the track, but have made a couple long mountain descents with no fade issues whatsoever. A great pad for all-around daily driving; good initial bite and pedal modulation, with excellent dust and noise control.

Great combination for the VW Passat. have used the Akebono pads on other vehicles with no problems, long lasting extremely low dust.

I have had these on my Volvo and they are great. I bought the front and rear brake pads with my new wheels and tires at the tirerack. After getting them, I took them to a tire shop to have them installed and while I was waiting the guy mentioned how I made a good choice in buying these pads (partly due to very little thin/unnoticeable brake dust) and they even had an akebono poster card advertisement in their shop. If anyone owns a Volvo or euro cars, they know about the horrible thick brake dust. I had stock aluminum wheels on prior and it was impossible to keep them clean and after a few days it made the overall look of the car unpleasant (if your wheels aren'' clean then your car isn'' right). The brakes have no noise, brake dust is almost eliminated (you ll be pleasantly surprised as I was). In terms of braking power, it does not have the same heavy bite that stock brake pads have, for example with stock brake pads if you only tap the brake pedal you stop fairly harsh/fast (way too sensitive), while with the Akebono pads it is more gradual which I prefer (less sensitive. I believe it is better this way since, for example, if you want a slow gradual stop you just have to ease/tap the brake pedal, but if you need to stop fast/suddenly you press the pedal down far/further (further than stock), which is a better/smooth feel. But trust me, it does stop when you want it to, as I have avoided several accidents (not my fault) by braking quickly. I''m not sure how long brake pads usually last, and I live in nyc (a lot of stop/go), buy I will be buying another set after these give out (whenever that may be).

These pads have a little less initial bite, compared to the stock pads, most noticeable when the brakes are cold. The stopping power is at least as good as the stock pads. However they have a much more progressive feel (I.E. they are easier to modulate) than the stock pads. There is almost no brake dust from these pads, much, much better than the stock pads in this respect. So far, the wear on the disks is minimal and very even.

If you own a Mercedes Benz, you should buy these pads. I have the sport package on my car with the four piston front brakes. From the factory, these brakes work beautifully. What drives me crazy is that the brake dust is terrible. One drive around the block and you have to clean the wheels again. The pads from Akebono are ceramic and are much cleaner. I am very impressed. After one thousand miles, they are quiet, NVH free, and the wheels are still clean. That''s right - still clean. I combined the pads with Goodridge SS braided brake hoses and cross-drilled rotors from Royalty Rotors of Santa Clara, CA. The brake performance is as good as original if not slightly better. I couldn''t be happier with the result. Buy these pads!

I was some what disappointed with the initial performance. I guess I need more time to evaluate since I can still see the design on the rotors. The initial bite is not as good as I would like. I have tried several low dust pads and this seems to be how most of them perform. They are nowhere near the OEM BMW pads in performance but I just can''t tolerate the amount of black brake dust the OEM pads produce.

I had Infiniti G35. These brake pads are underperformed. The stopping power was very poor and eating rotors as well. The only positive side of comments was less dust. I will not buy it again.

I purchased the Akebono euro brake pads to go with new Centric premium rotors. The dust is almost zero with these pads and initial bite is a bit lower than stock but still responsive. The combination seems to fade very little during spirited driving and green braking is good.

Overall I was very satisfied with this combo until I pulled off my wheels to have the tires replaced. On both front rotors with the akebono pads, there were stress cracks on the face of the rotor. I also noted very little wear on the pads, but significant wearing and scoring of the rotors.

The centric semimetallic pads produce slightly more dust than the akebonos, but is still much less than stock, and there is zero noise from the pads. I''ll be placing an order for new Centric pads and rotors for the front brakes and will be removing the akebonos from my vehicle.
