They are the best pads ever made. You may not believe me but I''ve had these on my car for about 70,000( 3years) miles and just now are they starting to wear. I drive both city and highway. All of the other so-called high performance pads can''t touch these. Believe me, up to 100,000 miles on my TT I''ve used them all and they all failed very quickly. Since I''ve replaced them with AKEBONO I''ve saved money and the icing on the cake is no brake dust. Imagine that. Do yourself a favor and don''t play games with those other pads and invest in the best. Like my mom always said" A Poor Man Can''t Afford To Be Cheap."

These pads are absolutely silent with the Brembo replacement rotors I bought them with. They also have left no brake dust on the wheels, and although I haven t pushed them hard they have always stayed strong even on hard stops at high speed with a heavy load.

The only negative is that they do feel a little soft as the pads first make contact with the rotor rather than making a more definitive grab, so they don t give the greatest feel but the positive side of that is that stopping is very smooth and not jerky.

The best recommendation I can give is that I m buying this combo again for my 03 VW Corrado which is a sporty car I drive much harder, and I have no doubt these brakes/pads will work well in this application as well. I wouldn t recommend them for racing/track applications, but for anything up to aggressive street driving they re a great combination of performance and practicality.

Original CR-V brakes were horrible. They warped at about 5k miles without pushing them hard at all, so no way I was getting stock again. Tried this Brembo/Akebono combo and they are SO much better than stock. Better feel, better stopping power, perfectly quiet, no brake dust, and they are completely warp free after 5k miles. They just feel more substantial, and I m so happy with them I m even putting them on my 03 VW Corrado that I drive far more aggressively. Seem like a great value especially versus the stock garbage.

Only negative is the middle hub area does show a little rust, but it s not all that noticeable unless you re looking for it. If I had a luxury or sporty car where I was more concerned with appearance it might be a little more of an issue, but not with a CR-V and the brakes work so well I couldn t care less.

If you re looking for great brakes that just do the job well with no muss or fuss I d recommend these highly.

My mechanic purchased these through Tirerack for me after one of the other mechanics in the shop recommended these and I viewed the website. The pads have an OEM feel to them. they do not bite right away when cold, but become a stronger performer when stopping as you build some heat into them. I am being picky because my G35 coupe has Endless pads which are very aggressive and I am use to much more stopping power. These are an excellent pad for the average everyday driver. These have a very smooth, linear feel and there is absolutely no NVH when hitting the pedal hard or feathering the pedal. The stopping power is more than adequate from what I have observed. I am also very happy with the absence of dust for the first time. The OEM pads dusted the wheels till almost black after one week of normal driving. it has been 1K miles and no dust. Cut down on effort to get the wheels clean. That alone makes it worth the buy for any German car owner. Much less labor to maintain wheels. I can strongly recommend these and will probably purchase again for the family wagon.

Replaced front rotors with ATE slotted rotor and used Akebono Ceramic pads. The combination works great. Virtually NO dust and great stopping power with no noise. With the old pads and rotor I was cleaning the brake dust off the wheels every night. Earlier I did the rears using ATE slotted rotor and Raybestos Semi-Metallic pads. Rears have small amount of dust. The slotted rotors all around look great.

Noticed no difference in stopping distance hot or cold, wet or dry with the ceramic pads. Now with some age on them, I feel that my stopping effectiveness has declined a little. However the age of the entire braking system could be at fault rather than focus on the pads as the reason for the decline. I have noticed very little fade on hard stops from highway speed which was a pleasant surprise. The no noise, no dust and limited wear on the rotors really speaks volumes to the pads. I would purchase them again.

Good braking power. Not as grabby at low speeds as stock, but very firm grip when needed. Effectively zero brake dust.

Great pad, low low low dust! You will be shocked how much less these dust compared to stock. If you have a problem with noise with these pads then you have not installed them correctly OR you need to go with new rotors if you are using the old ones.

I have these brake pads on my car for about a year. I had used the stock and after market pads on my car before. The stock pads has nice bite and is quiet but it will coat the wheels with black dust in a week. The after market pad I had before the Akebono ceramic have excellent stopping power, but it squeals and dusts like no tomorrow. Then I tried the Akebono Euro Ceramic pad from Tire Rack. The Akebono ceramic is quiet and almost dustless, I have to wipe my finger on the wheels to find the dust there. It wears very slowly and evenly and it is very easy on the rotor. My rotors are still completely flat and smooth after using the pads for almost a year, absolutely no grooves on the rotors. The price of all these is responsiveness. It doesn t have the initial bite the other pads have. I have to push the brake pedal harder then I would have with other pads. That s why I give Responsiveness only a 6.

If you are look for a pad that is quiet, dustless and easy on the rotors, this will satisfy you.
