At 99,000 miles I replaced my original rotors on my Dodge Grand Caravan with Brembo replacement rotors thinking I was getting a better quality rotor. I couldn''t have been more wrong. After 8,000 mile of driving the Brembo rotors are warped to a far greater extent than my OEM rotors ever warped. I''m very disappointed with Brembo''s quality. I''m now faced with having them resurfaced or replaced.



On the plus side, when I installed the Brembo rotors, I also installed Akebono ceramic pads. They are almost dust-free and keep the front wheels a lot cleaner than the rears which still have non-ceramic pads. The Akebono pads along with the Brembo rotors definitely improved overall brake feel....at least until the rotors warped.

I used the pads on the front of my daily driver civic. They were very smooth and extremely quiet even while creeping along in stop-n-go traffic. They made almost no noticeable brake dust. Their downfall came when I turbo charged the car. I quickly discovered the brake fade issues with a grocery getter brake pad so I had to upgrade to metallic pads. When I pulled them off nearly 40k miles later they still had most of their life left!! I recommend them for any grocery getter, but definitely not for spirited driving or track days.

No issues to this point except, they do rust excessively almost immediately.

would consider the cryo-stop rotors or some other brand that have some type of factory applied paint/treatment. The only concern with the rusting is how it may affect the wheel speed sensors that are located on the rear of the rotors.

Hey they work, but they don''t stop as well as the OEM''s.

I guess that''s the trade off for longer wearing and hardly no dusting.

I almost ordered these brakes two years ago when my brakes needed replacement badly. Since the Brembo rotors were out of stock (the Tire Rack). I just went ahead and purchased brakes and pads locally. The brakes I purchased were the "Wagner Thermo Quiet". The brakes never did stop squeaking when I stopped from backing up. Stopping the car from forward movement was no problem, but stopping from Reverse made my car sound like a junker! In the morning, when braking in my street after backing out of my garage, I would wake up the entire neighborhood. Same thing at work when backing out of my parking space. This happened EVERY DAY! I finally returned them to the local parts store and was given a 100% refund (as the brakes crried a lifetiime warrenty. At the parts store the guy behind the counter said he had the same problem with "Thermo Quiets" and had to put CRC anti-squeal on the backof the pads to stop the noise (even though the installation directions say NOT to do that). Since installing the ProACT Ceramic Pads, my noise is gone. I should have used the ProACT''s from the beginning and saved myself a lot of hassle because I had to resurface the rotors (due to the # of miles on the Wagner pads). Tire Rack came through again with great products. Thanks guys!

Definitely not a performance pad, but it wasn''t meant to be like that. I like it, to little dust, quiet.

With the stock breaks the car was very slow to stop. Even with the stock 2 piston calipers it was almost scary. Now it stops on a dime. The breaks work great!! I highly recommend this set up.

This new pair of rotors and brakes really resist warping. The prior brake jobs I did all warped the rotors. With the new cryo rotors it has been almost 30K miles and still no warping.

Worked exactly as advertised! A significant improvement over the OE pads. Eliminated the warped rotor sensation previously present without any replacement or turning of the original rotors. Exceptionally smooth response. Not an aggressive enough pad for the performance cars in our household, but a perfect choice for our minivan.
