The original Honda pads had a problem with transferring material from the pad to the rotor, causing vibration when the brakes were applied. Honda would have replaced the pads/rotor, but instead of taking the car into the dealer, I just replaced the pads and rotors with what I thought would be a small upgrade: Brembo rotors and ProAct pads. I''ve been happy with the pads performance, but with about 30K miles, they''re worn out. I use the brakes pretty vigorously around suburbia, but this is a light car and they shouldn''t be ready for replacement yet. The original pads were far from worn out when I replaced them. I''m probably going to try a different brand for the replacement.

The function of the equipment is very good. The stainless lines are ok but don''t even notice a different feel in the pedal. Service good as always, however the looks of these rotors are terrible, within a week the edges and the hubs were covered in ugly rust. This really detracts from the looks of the vehicle. For Brembo quality I am severly disappointed.

Akebono brake pad + Brembo Rotor combo are much improved on both brake stopping distance and brake noise compare to previous Toyota factory combo.

This package of Brembo replacement rotors don''t warp (I hate pulsing brakes). The pads don''t squeal and are pretty good for dust. This is is second time I''ve installed this pad rotor package on this car. The first set lasted about 40,000 miles.

The Brembo rotors and Hawk HPS pads are a great addition to a car that already stops very well. With the HPS pads, properly bedding them in is crucial! Otherwise, the pads are quite noisy and don''t bite well. After bedding them in, I''ve experienced consistent, predictable braking behavior in highway, city, and autocross driving. There is slightly more brake dust than on the original pads, but they are quiet. I only experienced fade after a long day of autocrossing and even then, it was very little. Initial bite is very good and more than suffices for street driving, though it could be a little better for autocrossing. I have HP+ pads on the way for autocross racing, but these pads are great for street-driven performance cars. As for the rotors, the quality is much nicer than the parts store models that they replaced.

The combination of brembo rotors and Akebono street perf pads makes my car handle the daily drive as well as the occasional autocross with aplomb. The braking power is simply incredible and is always available, with fade never being an issue. The only tiny issue is that dusting is fairly heavy, and the rotor vanes have rusted over as have the hats since they lack black e-coating. However, their performance is just as great as ever and I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I love the fact that I don''''t need to clean the front wheels as often. That combined with the increase in stopping power made this change a pleasant surprise. I installed a set of rotors and ceramic pads at 80k(from local store). The rotors warped quickly and the pads dirtied the wheels quickly although the stopping power was about equal to these. This was definitly a inferior setup to the Brembo/ATE setup installed now.

I went back to Brembo blanks after having used ATE Premium One''s with the same Hawk HPS pads. There is a world of difference with having slotted rotors instead of blanks. The brakes feel less responsive and just a little weaker in general. These rotors also cause the pads to heat up MUCH quicker, which has caused the rotors to begin to warp. Dust on the wheels is a good bit, but no more than expected. Bottom line, if you re looking at doing a brake job on a Camaro or something similar (GTO, G8, Mustang, Charger, etc.) get some slotted or drilled rotors, it''s worth the money.
