The combination of brembo rotors and Akebono street perf pads makes my car handle the daily drive as well as the occasional autocross with aplomb. The braking power is simply incredible and is always available, with fade never being an issue. The only tiny issue is that dusting is fairly heavy, and the rotor vanes have rusted over as have the hats since they lack black e-coating. However, their performance is just as great as ever and I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I love the fact that I don''''t need to clean the front wheels as often. That combined with the increase in stopping power made this change a pleasant surprise. I installed a set of rotors and ceramic pads at 80k(from local store). The rotors warped quickly and the pads dirtied the wheels quickly although the stopping power was about equal to these. This was definitly a inferior setup to the Brembo/ATE setup installed now.

I went back to Brembo blanks after having used ATE Premium One''s with the same Hawk HPS pads. There is a world of difference with having slotted rotors instead of blanks. The brakes feel less responsive and just a little weaker in general. These rotors also cause the pads to heat up MUCH quicker, which has caused the rotors to begin to warp. Dust on the wheels is a good bit, but no more than expected. Bottom line, if you re looking at doing a brake job on a Camaro or something similar (GTO, G8, Mustang, Charger, etc.) get some slotted or drilled rotors, it''s worth the money.

The Akebono pads were a very noticeable upgrade from the stock pads. Stopping power went up over stock levels very noticeably after the break-in period. The lack of brake dust was a very welcome surprise as well. The Brembo rotors are no different from stock as far as I can tell except that they were lower in price than the dealership. I will get this setup when it''s time to replace the front brakes again.

I find that the slotted rotors provide better braking on S2000 CR. The reason I wanted to try oem type was slotted rotors cracking. I ran one set of pads for brembo oem rotors and then pulled them from the car and once again installed dba slotted rotors. The customer service provided by Tire Rack was great, delivery great. Now the product was not what I had hoped for. Thanks -roger

I am very satisfied (no pun intended) with the pads. They stop just as good or better than stock and have MUCH less dust. I do not drive aggresively so that was not the reason to buy them, mainly just looking for a quality replacement when my stockers were running low.

The Brembo rotors warped in about 25k miles. I still use them because I am used to it and really do not feel like changing it all out again, or until the pads need replacement. I painted the center of the rotors so they did not show rust - I HIGHLY recommend this also or you will be staring at a lot of rust very soon. Overall they are fine but I do not see them to be any better vs stock, because they warped pretty quickly also. I just think the brake system is under sized for this particular car.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews while trying to find replacement pads for my fairly heavy 5 Series wagon. Many of the street, or performance pads, seemed to be good at some things, and awful at others. The Akebono Euros are just what the Doctor ordered for my car. I have had no noise problems and they have been fabulously free of dust since installed. Admittedly they aren''''t as grabby as others may be in the stopping arena, but I don''''t want or need that in my driving - I''''m not racing to work. They are progressive and smooth in that respect, and in an emergency stop they come through very nicely. I read about a lot of people trying better pads and then warping rotors. The Brembos work beautifully with these pads, no problems - great combo!!!

The stock replacement rotors from Brembo are great. I take my car out to the track once per month, and the I''ve ran two track days with these rotors on HP-plus pads. The brake performance is great and the rotors are holding up well. Value for money, these Brembo rotors are the best. As far as the HP-plus pads go, they are great semi-racing pads. Meaning they are still usable on the streets and provide enough stoping power on the tracks. It was noisy on the streets when I first have them installed. After two track days, they''ve quiet down a lot. I would buy them again.

ATE Super Blue (and the Gold counterpart) is the ONLY choice for regular track-driven cars. I have 6 cars we regularly track drive that are also street cars and I keep gallons of Super Blue on hand. It s high fade resistance and low price make it the ideal choice for both DE-type driving and for the street. I have only experienced fluid boiling once, and it was in Ferrari Testarossa, which is a heat monster, so it to be expected. A bonus is if you alternate with the ATE Gold, it changes color as you bleed to verify a complete flush.

While advertised as track pads, for the Corvette they were no better than stock ceramic. My son and I (both instructors) shared the car for a weekend at CMP, and by the end of the weekend (~10 25-minute sessions) we had experienced fade, lengthening stopping distances and when I removed the pads for inspection they were badly heat-checked. We followed the bedding-in procedure and our driving styles are not typically "hard" on brakes. These pads may be adequate on a lighter car, but are not recommended for larger or faster cars. I later went to Hawk DTC 70 s and it was like night and day - they are vastly superior and hold up well.
