I have tried Hawk HPS and found that they take a fraction of a second to start to bite and then I ended up pushing a bit harder and stopping short. With the Brembo pads this does not happen they are there when I want them NOW very progressive and responsive only draw back is dust on wheels but for the performance I will live with that, these are a great buy will be buying again when I need more.

It doesn''t bite in as much as I expected on initial stopping, but when applied more force into the break pedal it would stop very fast. I did several runs testing the break for fading and I was surprised with its ability to stop after braking more than 10 times without allowing it to cool down at all. This system is a lot better than my old stock brakes.

This combination of Hawk super duty brake pads & Brembo slotted sport rotors is far superior to standard auto-store replacement and superior to the original stock brakes. The pedal effort is higher than stock, however lockup is much less likely as stopping is more controlled with this combination. (Note this truck is NOT equipped with anti-locks, my preference) These brakes work much better with my rear combination of Kevlar shoes with stock drums, and balances the braking effort better across all four wheels. Almost as good as having BMW brakes on a full size truck!

I was quite pleased with the results of the combination of the Hawk brake pads with the Brembo slotted rotors. The brakes are vastly improved over stock, the fade resistance and the ability of the brakes to not lock up unexpectidly in the rain was a very welcome addition to the improvements with this combination. Note that my truck does not have front anti-locks and now outbrakes those that do, including our new 2008 F150. This combination is also a better match to the kevlar shoe/rear drum brakes that are currently on the rear axel. My brakes are much better balanced now. Note that the master cylinder and both front calipers are less than 1 year old at the time of this installation, but the improvement was substantial.

I have 16" stock rims on my 04 Jetta and the brembo slotted rotors fit with a few mm to spare using a completely stock setup. Hawk HPS on all 4 corners and slotted rotors in the back to match, and it is just about the best setup you can get without changing major components.

Performed front and rear replacement of pads and rotors, on the first drive, the brakes were growling on my way to the highway, as soon as I bedded the pads and rotors, all noises went away and and stay that way since, very happy with the brakes.

I am very impressed with these Brembo Slotted Rotors. I''ve had no problems or complaints with them at all. They perform flawlessly and look great.
