I have a 1993 Porsche 911 and 1997 Boxster, both with HPS pads and was very happy with them for years. There was almost no brake dust and the pads do not worn the rotors.
When it was time to change the pads and rotors in my X5, I installed the HP ceramic pads which were very noisy and were installed on the rotors without turning the rotors. They also gave a lot of dust and were not any better over the OEM pads. I ordered Brembo slotted rotors and HPS pads and I am now very happy with my X5. I need to brake harder when I tried to stop with the car going at higher speeds. The car brakes work well under normal driving. There was very little brake dust and I am very pleased with the appearance of the power slotted rotors.
Definitely HPS.

Just had a JDM H22A with LSD 5spd manual put into my 92 Accord EX. Wanted stopping power to match, upgraded all 4 rotors to Brembo Sport Slotted Rotors. All I have to say is WOW! DOHC VTEC 200hp 160ft of torque
and the stopping power to match nuff said!

Slotted rotors have a low level humming on low speed, gentle stops but overall braking power is amazing with almost no dust. Have only got into ABS once (in the rain) with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s. Modulation is better than excellent. Ethically, I would really like to get a greener car but just could not tolerate the brake performance available with narrow tires and undersized brakes available on the hybrids. The best new BMWs are still not very green...sob.

I acually drive a Scion TC but they didnt have my car on the list. A Celica GTS uses the same sized brakes. The stopping power is amazing compared to stock. Alittle noisy with ceramic pads but you sacrifies luxury with preformance

The only reason why I marked N/A for fade resistance is I will not track street pads. The Brembo rotors perform as they are supposed to: quick response, no noise, and of course, great stopping power.
Before I go to the track, I will have these rotors resurfaced and will be using Carbotech race pads. I m sure the fade resistance will be quite high (around 8-10).

The Brembo slotted rotor and Hawk HPS pad combination is one of the best combinations I have tested for the street. There is NO noise, brake dust is almost non-existant, pedal feel is stock(no harsh "fully locked" brake feel when you brush the pedal) and the confidence the setup provides is beyond words. I now have a car where I can apply the brakes at 75mph without worrying about my rotors shattering or my brakes overheating. If you are an enthusiastic driver (whether on the back roads or on the highway) or you just an average driver who wants piece of mind for your family...there is no better overall setup for the money in my opnion.
