I installed the Hawk HP+ pads for a track day at Gingerman raceway. On the street these pads are perfectly acceptable from a safety perspective, however they do dust considerably (washes off easily) in a very short time and are very noisy under light braking pressures. Having said that, they performed flawlessly at Gingerman. We ran 20min sessions with speed exceeding 100mph with hard braking down to 30-40mph and these pads never showed any sign of fading. Our last session was a full 40min and they never gave up. Once on the track, they got very hot smelling and a little more pedal effort was required (more likely due to the elevated speeds), but once the adjustment was made the pads gave easily modulated fade-free stops time after time.



These pads are probably overkill for autocross and the street, but are perfect for real tracks. For Autocross/street I would highly recommend the Hawk HPS pads, which I run on an every-day basis and are completely silent with great cold bite and very low dusting. Either set of pads (HP+ or HPS) are far better for braking than most stock pads and do not leave pad deposits on the rotors which will lead to vibration (commonly called warpage, though it isn t).

I was looking for an alternative to the stock brake pad & rotor which was very dusty and had a bit too much initial grab for my preferences. The Tire Rack sales personnel helped me find an alternative that has a smooth brake pedal take up, with great stopping power when you step on it. I was also looking to find a "dust free" solution that did not require weekly cleaning of the front wheels. The solution was Hawk performance ceramic pads with dba 400 slotted rotors. I think the solution is perfect for my driving style. The dust is gone. The initial brake pedal take up is smooth, allowing for casual around town driving without giving everyone a mild case of whiplash. Brakes still stop great when needed. I had occassion to test them with an unplanned panic stop, and although a few feet longer stopping distance than the OEM, still stopped well short of needing to hit the ditch to avoid becoming #3 in a high speed pile up. The dBA rotors appear to be without wear, so perhaps these would last a couple of lifetimes under average use. Great recommendations, and great products. I am a satisfied customer.

For every day use these are perfect for street and an absolute joy on the track. I have tracked the car with this brake setup a great deal and in turn never fails to slow the car down quickly. Compared to stock these rotors are awesome!

I purchased these brake discs believing that the previous reviews, and the classification of The Tire Rack as a Street/Track item was real. The fact is that these brake discs broke from one side to the other under the temperatures of spirited track use. These are not track discs. The worst part of all is that because of the broken rotor, the factory Brembo calipers bolt screws were shaved, and therefore are useless. A $170.00 street/track brake disc has cost me not only its replacement, but also the cost of replacing the factory Brembo caliper. Total amount is about $1,200.00. DON T BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR ANY KIND OF TRACK OR AUTOCROSS USE!

Great combination of rotor and pad. These were installed in a 2003 Honda Odyssey. The original rotors were prone to fading and warpage. This is not the case. The braking from high speed is very smooth and there is no fade.We sometimes pull a trailer with a combined weight of approx 1500 lbs and there is absolutely no problem doing this. The subjective quality of the braking is a significant impprovement. I wish that DBA made rotors for my RAV4!

DBA 4000 Rotors getting spider cracking after 2 days, Sat-Sun in HPDE at Homestead, FL. Told by salesperson that cracking is normal and acceptable. Do not buy if using your car for more than road use.

I bought the DBA 4000 series rotors and Hawk Pads after I warped the stock rotors. I drag race my car a lot. So slowing down from 115mph several times in a row can beat up the brakes pretty good. Simply put, these rotors and pads are awesome. There is never any fade. The car stops much quicker than it did stock. And there is never any noise and they don t produce much dust. They work and look great!
