I got these in C5 sizes for my 02 Trans Am, with C5 front brakes. They have about 400 miles on the pads right now. I bought them when they were on sale, for a whole $28. I use them only as street pads, and have racing pads for the track. I barely put 500 street miles a year on my car, so utmost performance isn''t so important. For stock replacement, cheap pads, they''re alright. They do, however dust. I keep my car/wheels very clean, but even after a 40 min ride of mixed city/highway, there is a layer of dust on the front rims (and I have black rims, so its easy to see). If they didn''t dust so ridiculously bad, they''d be a great street pad. But the cleaning required if you have nice street rims like mine, makes me want to buy something else. All in all, there are probably better pads out there that stop as well but don''t dust so much.

I purchased the Akebono euro brake pads to go with new Centric premium rotors. The dust is almost zero with these pads and initial bite is a bit lower than stock but still responsive. The combination seems to fade very little during spirited driving and green braking is good.



Overall I was very satisfied with this combo until I pulled off my wheels to have the tires replaced. On both front rotors with the akebono pads, there were stress cracks on the face of the rotor. I also noted very little wear on the pads, but significant wearing and scoring of the rotors.





The centric semimetallic pads produce slightly more dust than the akebonos, but is still much less than stock, and there is zero noise from the pads. I''ll be placing an order for new Centric pads and rotors for the front brakes and will be removing the akebonos from my vehicle.

Excellent stopping power, great fade resistance at Hallett, a track known for changes in elevation and hard braking in corners. Lasted 2 days on track (approx 5 x 20 minute sessions each day). One of the front pads unglued itself from its metal backing (possibly due to excessive heat) which ended the life of the brake set. Also very hard on rotors - they were pretty much paper thin at the end of the pad s life. I plan on trying either a different Hawk compound, or Carbotech pads for the next go round. I am also planning on installing brake ducting.

I bought the drilled an slotted DBA 4000 rotors. They developed surface fractures very quickly on the front rotors. The fron driver side rotor finally failed with 3x hairline fractures that went through the entire wall of the rotor. The factory cross drilled rotors lasted longer. I switch looking for more fade resistance. I have very nice cooling ducts that feed the front and read brakes directly through high temp hoses.

I purchased these Hawk Performance Ceramics to replace AXXIS UKCeramic.

The AXXIS UKCeramics were great for stopping power but the pad material was too soft hence the pads were extremely dusty. But the Hawk performace pads on the other hand, are the best pads I have installed on this car. These Pads Stop better then the stock pads and much better then the AXXIS. If you are a spirited,are hard driver like I am then these are the brakes for you. I''ll state that it is as simply as this: buy these pads if you drive hard or like to push your vehicle. Hawks is the first Brand name for my car.

No initial bite, stopping power was way down. These pads took forever to seat in which time that had such a sliding effect it felt dangerous to drive. Took to a track day and once they warmed up they bit better, but faded quickly.

My Bullitt is used primarily for Autocross and track days. I would purchase the HP+ pads, but not the Power Slot rotors again.I installed them at the start of the summer and bedded them in according to the manufacturer instructions. They seemed to work fine over the stock rotors, but I could tell when examining them after events that they would not last. I participated in 3 autocrosses and one track day with no problem. On my second track day, one of the front rotors cracked. I do not drive an excessive number of hot laps before cooling the car down. I purchased these based on recommendations from other Bullitt owners that used them, specifically staying away from cross-drilled due to cracking problems, and did not expect a failure so soon.

Very positive first impression after swapping out stock pads/rotors for Hawk HPS pads & Power Slot cryo treated rotors. Stopping power appears better than stock (which was good to begin with), no noise, no vibrations, and very little brake dust. Good Choice!

I started out with all stock components, I warped them easily. The pads and rotors are just great I love the performance. They stop without a squeal and I have not experienced any heat soak. I had them over a year now and they feel new. Like most rotors they will get a little rust on them when it sits for a few days in the rain but the rust has not affected the performance and it goes away with a quick drive around the block.



My stock rubber brake line exploded on me, sending my pedal to the floor and that was a scary experience. I had the G-stop brake lines for a a couple of months now and they just give you the confidence in your pedal. The stainless steel lines are of very good quality and they give you feedback and improved feeling. I definitely don''t think twice about my brakes holding up on the road
