Very positive first impression after swapping out stock pads/rotors for Hawk HPS pads & Power Slot cryo treated rotors. Stopping power appears better than stock (which was good to begin with), no noise, no vibrations, and very little brake dust. Good Choice!

I started out with all stock components, I warped them easily. The pads and rotors are just great I love the performance. They stop without a squeal and I have not experienced any heat soak. I had them over a year now and they feel new. Like most rotors they will get a little rust on them when it sits for a few days in the rain but the rust has not affected the performance and it goes away with a quick drive around the block.

My stock rubber brake line exploded on me, sending my pedal to the floor and that was a scary experience. I had the G-stop brake lines for a a couple of months now and they just give you the confidence in your pedal. The stainless steel lines are of very good quality and they give you feedback and improved feeling. I definitely don''t think twice about my brakes holding up on the road

I instaled new rotors, brake lines and Hawk pads in Dec of `07. 25000 miles later the fronts need replaced. I am very happy with the performance of these pads. I live in east Tennessee, lots of mountains and rolling hills, two lane roads:) I rated these pads an 8 simply because I have nothing except the OEM to compare them to. Great stopping power and moderate dust. A small amount of noise especially with first brake application. I had hoped for more miles before changing pads again, but I am very happy with the performance of these pads.

Decent pads for the street, much less dust than OEM; however, they do not have quite the initial bite as OEM pads. While they may be ok for limited autocross duty, they are not acceptable for track or driving schools, quickly overheating, glazing, and a creating potentially dangerous situation.

Rotors do not rust or turn color after driving, washing or even rain driving. I''m very pleased with the performance and esthetics of the ATE rotors. Noise isn''t a factor and dusting is just what you get with good pads! Excellent buy for the money!

It made the brakes less spoungy, but it did not make as much difference as I was wanting. It''s still worth the change.

With the stock breaks the car was very slow to stop. Even with the stock 2 piston calipers it was almost scary. Now it stops on a dime. The breaks work great!! I highly recommend this set up.

These had a customer rating similar to the Hawk HPS pads so I decided to give them a shot. I have been using them for about 15,000 miles over the course of about one year. They seem to wear about the same as the standard stuff from the auto parts stores. As far as noise goes, they sometimes (once every few thousand miles) make a grinding sound at speeds less than 10mph but it only lasts a few stops and goes away. They didn''t fit into the caliper very well which makes smooth installation and operation difficult without some light filing of the backing plate.

Performance:

For the money, I love these pads! Stop and go traffic they work really well and don''t fade or require heating up. They have much more stopping power than my OEM pads and they wear well enough to be a regular everyday pad. I have taken them on a road course and they didn ''t fade much on there either. They worked great for pretty much everything less than 100mph. Greater than 100mph is when I started wanting a little bit more stopping power.

Overall:

Very affordable, reliable, predictable performance pad. I have already recommended it to several friends.

Do not buy if you own a GM truck!! They are having "issues" with the fitting from the OEM hard line to the new SS line. The worst customer service ever from Goodrich!! The original kit had the wrong bolts for rear bangos. I had to pay postage for the right ones to get here in less than a week! Now, one of the front fitting won''t seal. Have called them and they say I''m not the only one. Said they are going to have to re-engineer thefitting in question. It should only take a few weeks! They sent me one of the old parts to see if it might work in the mean time. WRONG PART!!!!!! Had to rent a car to get back and forth to work. Going on three weeks now. Over a hundred dollars a week to rent a car. Never, ever again will I buy something from Goodridge again !! Tire Rack should drop them immediately!! Never seen customer service this bad in all my years of working on cars.
