DBA 4000 rotors dissipate heat well on street and autocross events and SS brake lines firmed up the pedal as expected.

Hawk HP Plus pads are excellent for track use and offer confidence-inspiring stops when driving very aggressively, especially when paired with a good set of rotors and stainless brake lines. They are fade-resistant, and provide better stopping power when warmed up. I bought them for their higher-temp operating range and resistance to glazing for when I drive my car on track days and have been very impressed - but driving them on the street is another matter. They generate a lot of noise and dust. If you like keeping your aftermarket rims clean, the dust these pads release will keep you busy. No shims are included and you will want to apply a good anti-squeal compound like CRC Disc Brake Quiet to the backing plates to make them tolerable. The friction compound is a little aggressive for casual street use. Firm and powerful stopping with progressive modulation during hard driving translates on the street to these pads grabbing harder as you slow down to a stop (as they heat up) without adding pressure to the brake pedal. If you drive aggressively all the time or drive a heavier vehicle that is more demanding of its brakes, buy em, you won''t be disappointed.

I really loved these lines when I installed them. Braking was exceptional. However, a few years after installing them, I blew out the right rear under a normal stop. No idea how it happened, but I swapped in a new one. A few months later (today) I blew the left rear. Again, a normal stop. Since I had to buy a complete new set to change out the right one, I have another rear sitting in my trunk. I might go back to all stock, because I''m scared that I''m going to blow the others. They were not kinked, not rubbing, they just blew out. The product did exactly as it was designed, but I can''t keep having to replace these lines. It was good while it lasted. I sincerely hope Goodridge can do something about the quality. Maybe my first set was defective? Maybe they''re slightly too long and causing unnecessary rub under braking that I''m not noticing during my walkarounds? I don''t know. All I know is that I''m starting to become afraid of driving my car.

this is a review of the REAR kit only. I have the Stop Tech 355mm big brake kit on the front of my car, so I just needed something to augment the rear brakes. iI''ve been playing with different pad compounds in the past to balance this out. Right now, I''m running Axxis Ultimates (front and rear) as my street pads, and they seem to balance pretty well. but keep in mind this is in street driving (ie, commuting), where I''m not anywhere close to the limits of the brake system, so I can''t really tell how they handle heat, or when they fade, etc. Maybe I''ll follow up this review after a track day with Hawk Blues.

These are great brake pads. I drive my car very hard. I have over 250 RWHP going to the ground & a 6 speed manual. I have these pads at all 4 corners. No brake dust, no noise, just stopping power. Best pads I ever used. So good, I put a set on my 94 Explorer as well.

Excellent stock replacement and affordable. For autocross slotted or drilled rotors really don''t make a dfference. Dealer wanted too much for replacement and these turned out great with Hawk Pads and stainless lines. They did rust very quckly though, cleaned easily.

The Goodridge lines didn''t make quite the differance I expected however they did firm-up the peddle just a hair. I haven''t made it back to the track yet to see how they hold up but time will tell...

I use the Hawk HPS as my street pads. I run the MINI at HPDE''s and use Hawk Blue up front and HP+ on the rear for track days. I have found that using pads from the same manufacturer provides for a more consistent rotor surface. I bed the pads in each time as the compounds are different, but I''ve had no problems with the rotors using Hawk products.
