I replaced my stock Mustang Brembro package pads for DTC-70 up front and DTC-60 in rear. I m running Nitto NT-05 at HPDEs and that s BARELY enough tire for these pads. With very little pedal pressure I m slammed into the belts and the ABS is kicking in. I put these pads on when I arrived at the track, but late Sunday I was in no mood do I drove 300 miles home with them (highway). The only issue on the street was the mileage. They drag a bit cost about 4mpg on highway.

I prefer the Pagid Blue or Yellow Race pads to these pads for feel, modulation and release feel. If you leave the brake dust on your wheels for any significant time, it destroys the finish. Everything is a compromise; the downside to the Pagid pads are that they squeak/scream terribly on the street, these Hawks are relatively quiet on the street so you don t absolutely have to change pads going from track to street. Remember however, that the brake dust from these pads EATS your wheels.

A very aggressive set of pads, not meant for the casual HPDE driver. They generate a lot of heat. As long as the driver is aware of this, these pads are fine. The initial grip and stopping power of these pads are not as good as my previous track pads, but they are no longer available. Unless I find a better track pad, I will continue to use these.

Brake pads always seem to be the most challenging performance component to get right for track driving, with most "track" pads being total junk in actual track driving (I''m tired of expensive experiments...). Not so with the DTC-70''s. We tried at least a half dozen other pads, including some of the big names, until we installed the DTC-70 s. These pads deliver! They heat up quickly, provide tons of very stable and linear stopping power, have yet to fade (even on short hard-braking circuits like VIR South) and seem to wear great (6 events on our Z06, shared by 2 instructors, and we still have 1/2 the pads life left). Given the speed potential of the Corvette, and our use of trail-braking to rotate the car, we ve been most impressed with these pads. Highly recommended!!

ATE Super Blue (and the Gold counterpart) is the ONLY choice for regular track-driven cars. I have 6 cars we regularly track drive that are also street cars and I keep gallons of Super Blue on hand. It s high fade resistance and low price make it the ideal choice for both DE-type driving and for the street. I have only experienced fluid boiling once, and it was in Ferrari Testarossa, which is a heat monster, so it to be expected. A bonus is if you alternate with the ATE Gold, it changes color as you bleed to verify a complete flush.

DBA 4000 Rotors getting spider cracking after 2 days, Sat-Sun in HPDE at Homestead, FL. Told by salesperson that cracking is normal and acceptable. Do not buy if using your car for more than road use.
