My car has undersized brakes, and I''ve doubled the HP of the car, so I work the brakes pretty hard. I tried EBC greens before, and they were totally HORRIBLE (worse than stock, and literally crumbled and fell off the car). I use Hawk Blue on my race cars, and like them, and these are a pretty good street alternative. Give em a try.

I installed the HP+ with slotted cryo rotors and with new brake fluid on my 98 supercharged civic sedan. This setup for the car is simply amazing. I immediately took it to a track event at Mid America Motorplex and couldn''t have been happier. I would brake later and deeper then most cars with no problems or fade. I did notice on my first time on the track about the second lap at the end of the front straight the pedal went soft for a second, but by the next corner the pedal was stiff again. After that one instance I have never felt any fade the whole day or the entire time I have had them on. Around town they are great also, even when cold. They are noiser and they do make alot of dust, but the braking they provide are well worth it (plus my wheels are very easy to clean, simple Rota 5 stars). If I had a very intricate wheel with nooks and crannys I might think different. They do eat up some rotors though. After one year of daily driving and a track event the rotors need to be replaced and they were cryo treated. All in all a great setup for track duties/daily driving.

The stock replacement rotors from Brembo are great. I take my car out to the track once per month, and the I''ve ran two track days with these rotors on HP-plus pads. The brake performance is great and the rotors are holding up well. Value for money, these Brembo rotors are the best. As far as the HP-plus pads go, they are great semi-racing pads. Meaning they are still usable on the streets and provide enough stoping power on the tracks. It was noisy on the streets when I first have them installed. After two track days, they''ve quiet down a lot. I would buy them again.

Used these HP+ pads along with new sp performance rotors, steel braided lines and super blue fluid at a track day at pocono speedway. I was very impressed how well they worked with little fade. On 25min sessions pads did experience some minor fade at the 20min mark or so, just required more pedal effort. Track did have 2 straight aways near 100mph. overall I was impressed with the pad. I use these pads for autox and street duty as well with good results. With brakeducts I would expect these pads to work a little better on a track. After agressive street duty, one autox, and one track day pad still has aproxx 75% pad left after 3000 miles.

I have a b18b with a home made turbo 235whp

ATE brake fluid these pads work great for the track but wear out quick on the street so don''t drive on the street save them for the track but with my set up as I got faster on the track I would get the HP blue or the better ones for track but if you have a slower car they are perfect

The guy on the Pontiac GTO dose not know how to break efficiently ( hard and firm and not drag the breaks baby breaking slowly like a granny..) Over heating his old stock break fluid

fluid should be changed before racing!! It absorbs moisture over time witch lowers the boiling poing

Use ate fluid 536F dry boiling piont and 388F wet boiling $20.00 for a liter

I had previously used Cobalt Racing GT Sport pads on the race track until I found numerous threads on the problems people in S2000''s were having with them and then I chipped a front pad just on a spirited mountain drive.

The Hawk HP Plus pads were recommended and I tried them. Honestly, I was disappointed with the performance. A friend of mine also tried them (another S2000 driver) after running Cobalts and he was disappointed too.

The first time I used them was going ok until I experienced the most severe fade ever before just before entering the T11 hairpin coming down from 100 mph at Sears Point with walls all around. Videotape from my friend 2 cars back showed PLUMES of smoke coming from my wheels when it happened. I had to back off and let them cool down and they were ok after that. But still were no match to the performance of the Cobalts. I may have to step up to Hawk''s next better pad when these wear out.

I put the cryos on the front with hawk HP plus. Once broken in...one word- amazing. With a stock set up great response on autoslalom. Haven t had on track yet. Always heard that the HP plus wears worse than HPS...but with the cryo power slots, again amazing. I do actually like to hear brake noise so above rating refects my personal taste. Also, i have flat black rims so dusting isn t noticeable.

I drive fast on the street and use these pads for track day. And I am satisfied with these pads but wish I would of went with something more aggressive for track use like ht-10 but that is because I have a 240whp ls turbo under the hood that''s the only reason after the 5th session of the day (25 minutes each) i was getting faster and faster and had to ride the breaks longer I managed to over heat boil the ate break fluid but to my amazement the pads did not fade much and after they cooled off I went out racing again and they where great I think over heated them cuz I rode the pedal not on full pressure during racing breaking should be short and positive but these are really good bang for the buck pads especially if you drive hard on the street and speed on the feeway these will stop you form triple digit speed with ease and good stopping power no fade back to safe speeds 65

When the pads were first installed they were and still are amazing. Just after a while you get used to them and like any performance upgrade you start looking for more. Would recommend these pad highly for driving to an event and using them at the event.

Pros:

With good performance tires, you''ll be shocked how quickly you can come to a stop. They''re great under spirited street driving and grab harder the hotter they get, and I can''t see anyone overheating these in short of insane street driving. Modulation is good when warm, but grabby when cold. They lasted 3 years and approx. 25,000 miles and are on the edge of needing replacement now.

Cons:

A little too aggressive for pure street driving. In the winter (yes, I drove with them on snow and ice, NOT the intended use for these pads) you hit the brakes and it takes a moment for them to react. With snow tires on with no ABS, the brakes overpower the tires causing easy lock ups. They squeal like crazy under light pedal pressure (coming to stoplights). When new I''d go around a corner and the lateral g-force would push one of the pads lightly against the rotor and they''d squeal audibly with the windows down. Dust is black, plentiful, and hard to get off rims. After 3 years, the rotors are visibly thinner and have a high "lip" on the outside edge where the pad doesn''t touch.

Conclusion:

Excellent pad if you don''t mind a lot of squealing (especially under light braking) and a lot of dusting. Hard on rotors, so I d not recommend using them on pricey rotors unless you plan on replacing them with the pads. Not recommended for winter driving or if you don''t have adequate tires to handle the brake force these produce. I went with a milder pad to replace these as after 3 years I just want the squealing to stop (at least that which comes out of my wife when she drives the car) and to keep ignorant relatives from telling me I need to "fix my brakes".
