I installed these pads along with powerslot rotors several months ago. I was looking for some improvement in all-around brake performance compared to the basic street stuff I had in there. My Z is used for autocross and spirited driving occasions, and the stock stuff wasn''t really confidence-inspiring. After installing the HP+ pads, I was blown away. The difference in performance was astonishing, literally night-and-day. These things stop significantly quicker than my old semi-metallics on the first application, and once you get some heat into them... Watch out! Initial bite is crisp, and the power is maintained throughout the stop. I had to adjust my driving style because they generate so much more power - I was locking up left and right at my first autox event.
However, there are trade-offs to stopping power of this level on the street. First and foremost: These pads are LOUD! They squeal incredibly on gentle stops, even with squeek-stop. (A fellow HP+ user suggested beveling the sides of the pad to reduce noise, but I haven''t been able to try this yet.) Secondly, they dust like crazy. Both of these short-comings are things that you should expect from a track-worthy pad set (ever heard race cars stop in the pits, or seen the brake-dust an F1 car can generate?).
Bottom line: If you''re looking for a streetable pad that''s still aggressive enough for autocross and light track duty, look no further. However, "streetable" is a relative term. If you don''t like to clean your wheels weekly and can''t take some squeal around town, then these aren''t the pads for you.

Hawk HP Plus are a good compromise between a full race pad and a street pad. They allow me to drive 100s of miles to the track and then drive it hard. Much better stopping power then any street pad. They are dusty and tend to squeal around town.
I swap them in/out around track days. Used to leave them in all the time but save money, washing and irritation by swapping to street pads when not needed.
I recommend these to beginning to intermediate drivers for track days. A nice step up in performance from "best" FLAPS pads.

great set up for hard driving. The combo makes a little noise but it is made up with the stopping power they provide. I would definitly purchase them again.

As these were trackday pads, they performed as expected. Great response and stopping power, held up to fade quite well. The noise was was horrible in normal street driving but that was to be expected as a track pad. After track days, switch back to OEM pads.

These are by far the best values for the buck and probably the best lightweight vehicle track pads I ve ever used. In 5 years of track days, I ve bought my share of track pads and these are definitely top of the list. I have a lightweight car, but these pads started coming in after the first braking zone and have held up to 30+ minutes of hard driving on race courses in brutal heat, by and advanced driver(Instructor) and never once faded! These pads are easy to modulate braking lap after lap, plus they are easy enough to drive on the street to and from the track. They might squeal a little on the street and dust more than normal, as race compounds usually do. I ve bought pads 3x the price for the same performance. These are a true value and highly reccommended for autox/track days/club racing for lightweight cars!

A month after purchasing my EVO, I heard some squealing, took rims/tires off and to my surprise (for being only a year old) I needed to replace breaks and re-surface rotors. In San Diego there's lots of stop and go driving, and after replacing the front old pads with the new Hawk HP +, there was a squeal that would make my heart sink to the bottoms of my feet. After a day of the squeal, my mechanic buddy and I thought sanding the edges would help the squealing, but to my disapointment there was absolutely NO change. I found myself smile-ing everytime my breaks would not make noise at red lights, it shouldn't be that way HAWK. My car is very nice and the look and sounds does not match up. To be more descriptive on the noise, it sounds very comparible to a very large truck coming to a stop on a downward hill. I am a first time buyer of HAWK anything, and I will be pretty reluctant on recommending products to any one i know, honestly I wouldn't even recommend them to people I don't like. There was no trouble stopping. But the damn noise alone is horrible, maybe they are not the best pads for Mitsubishi s, as a consumer be sure to read all of the reviews from others. It really might save you the embarasment, blood, sweat, tears, and most of all money.

These pads rock! Only problem is they are very noise, i would def. not recommend them on the street as only a couple miles in traffic will cause them to squeel and drive you crazy. But, they stop on a dime. I would def buy them again when I get 300zx rear calipers

Although I haven''t been able to give them a real test yet, aside from the dust, they seem like they will perform very well when I do finally get to the track.
