The pads are very responsive and never faded during the seven 20-minute track sessions on a very tight track, a lot of left foot braking and threshold braking and the pads held up amazing, very little wear. They were shooting sparks out on the track and burnt my rotors red but it never faded, surprisingly i was very quite on the track. However when I used them on the streets, they very very very very noisy. As for dust, it didn t produce as much as I expected but still quite a bit. Overall I am very satisfied with the pads and would definitely purchase them again!

I have these HP Plus pads on an Integra Type R brake setup on my 2200lb Civic hatchback. Car has 200HP. At the track I experienced zero fade and reliable stops from 95-30mph repeatedly, without letting the brakes rest. These pads are great for any light car with a decent brake setup. I imagine if you have a heavier car these will burn up quickly on the track.

On the street, they are noisy and produce a ton of brake dust. That is not an exageration. They are squeaky and produce a ton of brakedust!!

Great track pads for any sub-2300lb car!

I give it all 10 on all things but noise. These brake pads are ridiculously loud, I don t think I ve ever heard anything as loud. Good to use on the race track but no way in the street unless you want everyone to be looking at you with that "what the hell??" look. Less than 2 months after installation I m ordering the street brakes, these are going back on the shelf, can t handle this noise.

Good brake pads for track days. Brake pads are noticeably more responsive than stock pads with less pedal effort. Stopping power is excellent for both street and driving on the racetrack (not racing). Pads can be faded, but only with repeated very hard stops on the track. The downsides are they generate a lot of dust and are noisy.

These pads are simply too loud to be used for anything other than track driving only. I changed the pads myself and am simply blown away by the sound. I installed the pads on well-worn rotors and thought that was the cause of the excessive sound, but I swapped in new OEM rotors and the sound is still there in all its ear-piercing glory. And I am a stickler about making sure the shims are greased correctly to reduce noise. Yes, the pads stop the car well, but I can t keep them on the car being a daily driver. I will either shoot myself from the sound, or be shot by someone else for noise pollution. Back to the more expensive Porterfields. I may take a step down in stopping ability, but my sanity will be kept intact.

The Hawk HP+ and Racing Brake combo are on the front of the S2000 only, rears are original factory equipment. The HP+ are an amazing brake pad for not being track only, but as others have said, they are annoyingly loud after a while if you don t have them up to temperature. The dust makes an absolute mess of your rims and have even managed to fill the slots/holes on the rotors.

The stopping power between the 2 will actually set off the ABS on the car (Z1 Star Spec tires). They do appear to be wearing the rotors a bit. I would definitely buy the replacement rings to the 2-piece rotors, I am not sure I would buy the pads again. They are good, but so loud they get the attention of police as you brake at a stop signs (true story, I wasn't even driving like an idiot).

These pads are incredible. They completely fix the spongy brake pedal that Subarus are infamous for. This is in comparison to the HPS street pad. I left the HP+ pads on after my last track day and have been using them for the street ever since. If you want to stop on a dime, these are the pads for you. The amount of dust these pads produce is insane. The sound is even worse unless you apply brake quiet every once in a while. These are the only two downsides, which are insignificant because I love these pads.

The brake pads are extremely loud, but they grip very well. I have to be careful because the car can lock the brakes up at 100+ mph with ease. They slow my 400 WHP monster so fast that it feels like your head is going to fly off.

Bought purely for track days. Pushed them heavily and hell I was stopping on a dime, so much so I actually felt sick from the force. They are dusty however, and when cold (normal day to day driving, are irritatingly noisy. If you want very high stopping power and resistance to fade, get these!

Theses things are noisy. They are dusty... but they will stop on a nickle and make change.

Super impressed. My 92 Corvette has the 1996 Grand Sport caliper and 13" rotor with SS lines. It s about as far as you can go without going aftermarket. I can t wait to track the car with these brakes. I just breathe on the pedal a little bit and my lower back starts to pull away from the seat. INCREDIBLE stopping power.

If you are self conscious about noise, or a an OCD detailer type, stay well clear of these pads. But if you want to STOP... and I mean STOP... get them. You will stop. Like you have never stopped before.

I recently installed Hawk HP Plus pads and ATE slotted rotors on both the front and rear of my 2009 Jetta TDI. The HP Plus pads are great, huge improvement in initial bite and overall stopping power. I took the Jetta to a 2-day HPDE (performance driving school) and the brakes performed flawlessly. They were consistent and fade free for the entire 2-day track event. Please note, if you are going to track your car, or drive hard for extended periods of time, you MUST replace your stock brake fluid with an appropriate high-temp variety (I m using ATE Super Blue). Most factory brake fluids simply cannot handle the intense heat generated by repeated high-speed stops.

THESE ARE NOT TRACK PADS! I purchased these pads as back-ups for my track pads thinking that I could throw them in for my last couple of sessions and then drive home without a pad change. This was a BAD IDEA! After only three 20 minute sessions at Watkins Glen in my 1990 BMW 325i, the pads were destroyed. They also overheated so badly that they ate through the Brembo rotors I had used for the past half dozen track events. These pads are definitely NOT for the track. They might work OK in autocross (though I doubt they d last long) and I m sure they are fine for the street. However, I absolutely cannot recommend them for the track. They did manage to slow the car (though the pedal got very deep after a few minutes) but they only lasted an hour! Anyway... I guess I ve learned my lesson. Many folks enjoy Hawk pads on the track but stick to their dedicated racing pads (DT60s, HT10s, etc) for track use.

Tried the HP+ pads on the mustang for a Barber track weekend. The stock pads are very inadequate when it comes to road racing applications, so I tried these as a cheap weekend upgrade. These weren t much better, but then again that might just be the heavy car and the way I stomp on the brakes. Pads would probably work well on a lighter car and definately have a good initial bite for autocross applications but for me the pedal started feeling pretty spongy by about lap 8 or 9 so if your looking for a good track day pad you might want to look into something a little more aggressive.

Just put these HP+ brake pads on my 03 non brembo 350z. I tried bedding them with consecutive 80-20 and 60-0 stops. When i took it on a spirited drive down the local mountain, i realized that they were not bedded fully since they were literally on fire at the bottom of the hill, quite a bit of smoke pouring out of the calipers from the pads. I rolled the car around for a bit to put out the flames, and now, they re great, they seem to be bedded 100% and working excellent. They produce ALOT of noise, but totally worth it. Initial bite is good once they are get some heat into them, when they are cool they are similar to a factory pad. They are strong enough to activate my ABS MUCH quicker than normal - but the stopping power is great. I have yet to get them to fade since the bedding process. Overall great brake pad for the spirited driver/autox er/or track day go er. I may look into performance friction z rated for my next pads though, we ll see.

The Hawk HP+ pads are extremely aggressive and never quit in a hot, demanding track day at Laguna Seca last year. However, even though broken in according to manufacturer recommendations, both the pads and rotors were toast after 2 - 30 minute sessions and squealed like a stuck pig. I finished 3 more sessions because, after all, how many times do you get to run Laguna Seca? But the rotors and pads were both severely scored and grinding like they were metal to metal, even though there was still half the pad left. The paint on the new rotors literally turned to ash. Mind you, this is a stock C5 Corvette. I since changed to standard Cryo rotors with StopTech street performance pads, and they at least survived the rest of the season (3 more track days at Sears Point and Thunderhill) with only minimal hot spotting, but the pads are finished. I m still looking for the ideal combination of pad and rotor that can survive 4-6 track days a year and still work on the street. I don t mind changing pads once a year but I d like to see the rotors last a couple seasons as these things are big and expensive on a Vette.

Ran HP+ pads, Cryo PowerSlot rotors, Castrol SRF fluid with Goodridge lines and Quantuum cooling ducts. BF Goodrich KDW2 tires. Stock calipers. Street, track (intermediate level) and autocross. Phenomenal set up for all around use. On the track they were not unpredictable but did get increased stopping power throughout the day. This made it a little tough to judge braking points but in the right direction at least. Since they were used on the street it was hard to keep them properly bedded. When bedded they sound awesome - like grinding cement - louder on video than my engine. On the street as bedding fades they did squeak but are worth it. Produced tons of dust but my car is a driver so I don t care that much. Pads lasted a season - tossed them. Front rotors had micro cracks on the surface but no through-and-through cracks - good material left but I had to toss. Rear rotors are fine and going back on the car after the winter. I will run the exact same setup this year.

Changes Pads, Rotors & brake lines all in one go in preparation to my second track week end (destroyed the stock brakes during the first one). Very happy with the braking power even at low temperature, and then again the pads heat up very quickly. No noticeable brake fade and much better life (at this rate may only have to change the front pads after a total of 3 week ends). Noise level are not acceptable for street driving, then again these are not designed for that use. So overhaul very satisfied with this great alternative to big brake kits.

Awesome brakes...Horrible sound! You will hate the squealing. After proper bed-ing the pads were quiet for about 2 days but they started squealing like crazy again. The sounds comes under 30mph. Aside from that sound, the brakes can stop time after time. Great initial bite. You can get the abs working every time.

Big step up over stock pads for light track use/ HPDE. Proper bed in will help reduce noise a little but they are deafening in street use when cold. Previous posts about cement mixer sounds are 100% correct. I took mine off two weeks after the track event but loved the stopping power, even when ice cold. They faded heavily during one run early at the track due to incomplete bedding in. Once past this they were phenomenal. My longest track session was 50 minutes and I had no problems in a heavy car on a track that is only modestly tough on brakes. The dust was not too bad and came off with a routine wash and no significant elbow grease. If you care about noise don t get track pads, these included.

Had Centric Cryo Rotors installed. Seated pads per manufacturers instructions.Logged about 400 miles before using rotors for two track days. Car developed front end shudder on severed braking from high speeds. Front end suspension components all sound. Think that one of the cryo rotors developed some warpping. Need to check out further as problem doens''t exist at normal braking speeds. Purchased cryo rotors to avoid this problem. Not very pleased with performance currently.

Only one track day so far with some basic road miles and the braking performance is good. No fade detected during the one track day. Good initial bite and brake "feel" is very nice. A definite improvement over the EBC Greenstuff pads on stock Brembo rotors I had before. Of course the brake dust is prodigious, but that''s expected. Noise is not bad. I get the occasional squeal at the end of a stop but better than the EBC pads.

These are not an all-out track pad. They are still another pad that tries to do both - street and track days. If your car is light, say under 3000lbs, these pads will probably do you well. A strange experience I have had: the first day I put these pads on, they were FANTASTIC. High, firm pedal, and retina-detaching stopping power. The next track day, everything on the car was the same, but I had a VERY low, soft pedal. So low it takes at least 2-3 full inches of pedal travel to finally get any brake action. This has happened every time I put my track rotors and these pads on. Yet my street rotors and pads give a high, firm pedal. My lines and fluid is all fine. The only variables are the pads. While the sheer braking power is still roughly the same as day one, the pedal travel and feel has greatly degraded. There is a total of about 7 track days on these pads. The track in question is a fairly tight, slow one.

My next track pad will either be one of the hawk colored series, or another brand altogether.

I purchased these pads out of recommendation from a friend. The primary use of my vehicle is daily driving with autocross and mountain driving on the weekends. I''m using a R33 Skyline brake setup with the Hawk HP Plus pads. I could not be happier! I did not know my brakes could perform this well. Straight out of the box these pads far outperformed my old pads(GREX). The stopping power of these pads is unbelievable. I''m running Dunlop Direzza Z1 star specs(amazing tires) and after installing these pads I need to upgrade to a bigger size to keep them from locking up on the front. These pads do dust alot but I have seen worse so I rated them a 5. I also deducted a couple points for noise because they squeal a little bit when completely cold(they stop after a block or two). As far as bite, these pads bite hard from cold and do not fade, ever. I highly recommend these pads if you''re in need of an upgrade.

My Bullitt is used primarily for Autocross and track days. I would purchase the HP+ pads, but not the Power Slot rotors again.I installed them at the start of the summer and bedded them in according to the manufacturer instructions. They seemed to work fine over the stock rotors, but I could tell when examining them after events that they would not last. I participated in 3 autocrosses and one track day with no problem. On my second track day, one of the front rotors cracked. I do not drive an excessive number of hot laps before cooling the car down. I purchased these based on recommendations from other Bullitt owners that used them, specifically staying away from cross-drilled due to cracking problems, and did not expect a failure so soon.

Much improved over OE. I''m concerned about some fade experienced during the bedding-in procedure. Could have been related to excessive heat in the stock rubber lines....but overall very pleased with the HP+ pads and Ate rotors (slotted).

Here is a real review by someone who tried more than 1 other set of pads. The good: The HP+ is a great inexpensive pad that offers lots of bite and instant response with more than enough performance at legal speeds and then some. The bad: These pads dust like no tomorrow so if shiny wheels are your thing they will drive you nuts. My gold wheels look bronze after literally 20 miles driving. Then there''s the squeal, I know I''ve bedding them in properly but it doesn''t matter. While they are quiet under heavy to moderate braking, if you brake lightly such as coming to a stoplight in traffic they will shriek like the devil and everyone will look at your car like it has a problem. Same thing pulling into the mall.

That said, if you don''t care about the dust or the noise and only drive on the street you''ll love these pads. I bought mine for Solo II / Track duty for lapping days. At Solo II events they are brilliant, lots of instant braking power and fade is never an issue. They blow away the OEM pads when directly swapped over to the same calipers, same brake fluid... Now running them on the track is a different story. In my opinion these are not track pads. I don''t care what anyone says, they are not. They are still good for lapping days and driving schools, both of which I''ve done but... when you start to push it'' they will reach their limit and I''ve faded them several times. Not to the point that I''ve got no brakes, but ok yeah they''re fading and the car isn''t slowing down anywhere near what I did on the last lap so I better kick it down a notch and let them cool off. They do come back once they cool down. On the street you''d probably kill yourself before you could fade them. I did 6 track days and 5 Solo II events with them and now they''re worn down.

Will I buy these again ? No. Why ? 1) I''m getting quicker at the track and need a better pad that will not fade (now running Porterfield R4 race pads) 2) I can''t stand the massive dusting and shriek they make when you stop.

After 600 miles of city/highway and a drive through the mountains with the Hawk HP+ pads on the front I must say that I am very impressed! The bite on them is absolutely phenomenal with very little if any brake fade under hard braking conditions.

Yes they do dust a lot but nothing that a water hose doesn''t remove on a daily basis, and the squeeking noise has gone down considerably and only occurs now when braking gently.

All in all I am very pleased with the pads, they are hands down much better than the OEM pads for this car if you drive spirited as I do in the mountains.

Use these pads for what they are for. For track days I have found no other pad that serves a dual purpose for both getting you to the event without scoring your rotors, and holding up very well during the event. Sure, OEM pads are the best for cold applications for street driving. Hawk Blues and other pure race compounds grap a bit more at the track (once they get heat in them). If you want a pad that works well on the street, and well at the track, and can live in this middle ground so you don''t have to swap out your pads for events...this is the pad for you...hands down. I will admit, I have to keep a bucket handy after just a few drives back and forth to work to clean up the wheels and keep things shining. VERY small price to pay for the convenience and performance these street/track pads offer.

Pads bite hard, initial braking action is great. They are noisier and shorter-lived than "ceramic" "police" pads I had before but they stop much better.

Rotors amaze me - less fade than Kragen grade parts, but the real difference is rotor life. I expect to change rotors with pads (heavy car, aggressive pads, San Francisco hills...) but these look great after using up a set of HP+ pads!

After 6 20 minute sessions at Pocono North these pads are shot, over 50% used-up. The track conditions were wet. My wheels are filthy and ruined, the dust generated from these pads is astounding. Due to the rain the dust caked onto the wheels and seems to have bonded to the finish on the wheels. I will never buy these pads again!

I have gone through two sets of HP+ pads for use during track days. While their initial bite and power is good, they have a low (for race brake pads) max operating temperature. I was typically only able to get 3-4 laps in before their performance fell off. If you continued too long, you would end up with pad material on your rotors.

I would recommend these pads for autocross, as they provide good cold bite and stopping power. However, I have since switched to the HT-10 pads as I only do track days with this car.

Other comments:

Noise: They do make quite a bit of noise when going very slow. However, this shouldn''t be a problem since a buyer would be looking for performance, not comfort.

Bite: Very good and managable initial bite. Very low risk of locking the brakes by accident with these pads.

Fade: I do not autocross, but I do not see how you could have any fade problems during your runs. On track, you may want to consider pads with a higher MOT.

I put these pads on at the recommendation of a fellow S2000 owner for high performance driving and I could not be more satisfied with the braking power. The HP Plus pads alone at the front are so much more decisive in stopping power over OE, that you just simply cannot believe it is just a simple change of pad that improved it so.

The only downside to the pads are the noise. It doesn''t bother me none, but it was a nuisanace to surrounding drivers when puttering around town. Then again...I really don''t care about anyone else but me.

Beware this brake pad. As noted by the other driver here this is not a racing pad. 3-4 hot laps a Sebring and I was off in the run out space due to over heating failing brakes (bled the fluid, checked the line, nothing wrong there). This pad may be a slight upgrade from stock but should not be used on a racetrack if you have any idea what you''re doing. Get an actual racing pad and a set of rotors for it (Tire Rack sells plenty, take your pick). If you re looking for an upgraded street pad, these will do just fine (as long as you understand that they are going to be dusty).

My car has undersized brakes, and I''ve doubled the HP of the car, so I work the brakes pretty hard. I tried EBC greens before, and they were totally HORRIBLE (worse than stock, and literally crumbled and fell off the car). I use Hawk Blue on my race cars, and like them, and these are a pretty good street alternative. Give em a try.

I installed the HP+ with slotted cryo rotors and with new brake fluid on my 98 supercharged civic sedan. This setup for the car is simply amazing. I immediately took it to a track event at Mid America Motorplex and couldn''t have been happier. I would brake later and deeper then most cars with no problems or fade. I did notice on my first time on the track about the second lap at the end of the front straight the pedal went soft for a second, but by the next corner the pedal was stiff again. After that one instance I have never felt any fade the whole day or the entire time I have had them on. Around town they are great also, even when cold. They are noiser and they do make alot of dust, but the braking they provide are well worth it (plus my wheels are very easy to clean, simple Rota 5 stars). If I had a very intricate wheel with nooks and crannys I might think different. They do eat up some rotors though. After one year of daily driving and a track event the rotors need to be replaced and they were cryo treated. All in all a great setup for track duties/daily driving.

The stock replacement rotors from Brembo are great. I take my car out to the track once per month, and the I''ve ran two track days with these rotors on HP-plus pads. The brake performance is great and the rotors are holding up well. Value for money, these Brembo rotors are the best. As far as the HP-plus pads go, they are great semi-racing pads. Meaning they are still usable on the streets and provide enough stoping power on the tracks. It was noisy on the streets when I first have them installed. After two track days, they''ve quiet down a lot. I would buy them again.

Used these HP+ pads along with new sp performance rotors, steel braided lines and super blue fluid at a track day at pocono speedway. I was very impressed how well they worked with little fade. On 25min sessions pads did experience some minor fade at the 20min mark or so, just required more pedal effort. Track did have 2 straight aways near 100mph. overall I was impressed with the pad. I use these pads for autox and street duty as well with good results. With brakeducts I would expect these pads to work a little better on a track. After agressive street duty, one autox, and one track day pad still has aproxx 75% pad left after 3000 miles.

ATE brake fluid these pads work great for the track but wear out quick on the street so don''t drive on the street save them for the track but with my set up as I got faster on the track I would get the HP blue or the better ones for track but if you have a slower car they are perfect

The guy on the Pontiac GTO dose not know how to break efficiently ( hard and firm and not drag the breaks baby breaking slowly like a granny..) Over heating his old stock break fluid

fluid should be changed before racing!! It absorbs moisture over time witch lowers the boiling poing

Use ate fluid 536F dry boiling piont and 388F wet boiling $20.00 for a liter

I had previously used Cobalt Racing GT Sport pads on the race track until I found numerous threads on the problems people in S2000''s were having with them and then I chipped a front pad just on a spirited mountain drive.

The Hawk HP Plus pads were recommended and I tried them. Honestly, I was disappointed with the performance. A friend of mine also tried them (another S2000 driver) after running Cobalts and he was disappointed too.

The first time I used them was going ok until I experienced the most severe fade ever before just before entering the T11 hairpin coming down from 100 mph at Sears Point with walls all around. Videotape from my friend 2 cars back showed PLUMES of smoke coming from my wheels when it happened. I had to back off and let them cool down and they were ok after that. But still were no match to the performance of the Cobalts. I may have to step up to Hawk''s next better pad when these wear out.

I put the cryos on the front with hawk HP plus. Once broken in...one word- amazing. With a stock set up great response on autoslalom. Haven t had on track yet. Always heard that the HP plus wears worse than HPS...but with the cryo power slots, again amazing. I do actually like to hear brake noise so above rating refects my personal taste. Also, i have flat black rims so dusting isn t noticeable.

I drive fast on the street and use these pads for track day. And I am satisfied with these pads but wish I would of went with something more aggressive for track use like ht-10 but that is because I have a 240whp ls turbo under the hood that''s the only reason after the 5th session of the day (25 minutes each) i was getting faster and faster and had to ride the breaks longer I managed to over heat boil the ate break fluid but to my amazement the pads did not fade much and after they cooled off I went out racing again and they where great I think over heated them cuz I rode the pedal not on full pressure during racing breaking should be short and positive but these are really good bang for the buck pads especially if you drive hard on the street and speed on the feeway these will stop you form triple digit speed with ease and good stopping power no fade back to safe speeds 65

Pros:

With good performance tires, you''ll be shocked how quickly you can come to a stop. They''re great under spirited street driving and grab harder the hotter they get, and I can''t see anyone overheating these in short of insane street driving. Modulation is good when warm, but grabby when cold. They lasted 3 years and approx. 25,000 miles and are on the edge of needing replacement now.

Cons:

A little too aggressive for pure street driving. In the winter (yes, I drove with them on snow and ice, NOT the intended use for these pads) you hit the brakes and it takes a moment for them to react. With snow tires on with no ABS, the brakes overpower the tires causing easy lock ups. They squeal like crazy under light pedal pressure (coming to stoplights). When new I''d go around a corner and the lateral g-force would push one of the pads lightly against the rotor and they''d squeal audibly with the windows down. Dust is black, plentiful, and hard to get off rims. After 3 years, the rotors are visibly thinner and have a high "lip" on the outside edge where the pad doesn''t touch.

Conclusion:

Excellent pad if you don''t mind a lot of squealing (especially under light braking) and a lot of dusting. Hard on rotors, so I d not recommend using them on pricey rotors unless you plan on replacing them with the pads. Not recommended for winter driving or if you don''t have adequate tires to handle the brake force these produce. I went with a milder pad to replace these as after 3 years I just want the squealing to stop (at least that which comes out of my wife when she drives the car) and to keep ignorant relatives from telling me I need to "fix my brakes".

I installed the Hawk HP+ pads for a track day at Gingerman raceway. On the street these pads are perfectly acceptable from a safety perspective, however they do dust considerably (washes off easily) in a very short time and are very noisy under light braking pressures. Having said that, they performed flawlessly at Gingerman. We ran 20min sessions with speed exceeding 100mph with hard braking down to 30-40mph and these pads never showed any sign of fading. Our last session was a full 40min and they never gave up. Once on the track, they got very hot smelling and a little more pedal effort was required (more likely due to the elevated speeds), but once the adjustment was made the pads gave easily modulated fade-free stops time after time.

These pads are probably overkill for autocross and the street, but are perfect for real tracks. For Autocross/street I would highly recommend the Hawk HPS pads, which I run on an every-day basis and are completely silent with great cold bite and very low dusting. Either set of pads (HP+ or HPS) are far better for braking than most stock pads and do not leave pad deposits on the rotors which will lead to vibration (commonly called warpage, though it isn t).

The Hawk HP Plus was an absolute waste of my money. They are NOT RACE PADS. 3 sessions, 25 minutes, and each session, within 4 laps my brakes would fail me, overheat. the DBA Rotors have Hawk residue all over them, and will require resurfacing. The pads have less than 50% pad left after less than a single track day. Absolutely dissappointing, especially considering the added cost, false advertisement (should be aggressive street pad/Autocross). I m definately calling Hawk/Tirerack to get a deal on some other pads. Hopefully I ll be returning these sorry excuses for track ready pads, and get something actually worth my $$$. Most frustrating is being in the middle of no-where on a weekend, with shot brakes.

I took my S2000 to the track this past weekend bone stock except for these Hawk HP Plus Pads which I had installed before driving to the track. If you have ever driven on a track before do not use these pads, brake fade was an issue and they did not have the stopping power I needed leading me to overshoot several corners. By the end of the weekend they had also destroyed (deeply gouged and warped) the front rotors which I have to replaced and scored the back rotors (these could still be machined). There was nothing left of the pads either - I figured they would be good for at least 2 weekends - I was wrong. These may be an adequate street pad for somone who doesn''t mind cleaning their wheels alot, and for your first track event before you are pushing it, but I wouldn''t even recommend that. If you''re going to the track, get a set of pads than can take the heat without braking down and change them before and after you drive. It isn''t difficult and is good to know how to do anyway - it can save you a bunch of money too.

I use the Hawk HP+ pads for HPDE events totalling about 14-20 days a year. They work fine but do glaze up a bit. I have never had a failure with them. They dust up the wheels considerably but I am more interested in performance on the track than aesthetics. However, I seem to be putting more stress on the pads than in the past and I may have to switch to a more dedicated track pad for track days.

First, if you just put these pads on, they will scream if you even think of slowing down. If you bed them in properly, they will squeal when they get warm at every stop. If you clean the rotors, bed them in, really exercise them (i.e. track day), the squeal almost completely disappears. They are about the best dual purpose pads I have found, with plenty of cold bite and the ability to handle track days.

If you want one set of pads that will work well on the track with excellent performance on the street, and are willing to put up with dust and the occasional squeal, these pads are for you.

If you want to say you have high performance brakes, but don''t want any dust or noise, move on to something else.

Intially the pads are very responsive, after a few events they get less grabby, and become easier to modulate. They do dust a lot, and have a bit of vibration under light use, but they are liveable on the street. When they are hot they grab like a racing pad, and I haven''t faded them yet even with 80 second runs on R-compounds. On street tires without ABS you will be fighting with lockup. I would recommend them for autocross and track days in a light vehicle, but to maximize their benefits I would also recommend R-comps. In cold temperatures and short courses these are not the pads, as they need some heat to generate torque; I tend to drag them to the line. Good all around pad if don''t mind the dust and NVH.

Daily driven, autoX, and some track days. Has very good bite for a street pad and especially great for autox. Can survive a track day if you''re a novice but you''ll quickly find that the hp+ isn''t up to the task as soon as you become more confident on track. It is however extremely noisy and kicks out a decent amount of dust, more so than any other street pad I have ever used and I have gone through lots.

I have put approx 500 miles of track mileage on these pads and they have been great. I use them on a Ford Focus with SVT focus brakes and experience no fade even at the end of a 30 minute lapping session where I used them quite hard.

The pads do however wear fairly quickly with this extremely hard use. They are over halfway gone already and may survive one more lapping weekend.

On the street they are ok when its warm outside, but there is definitely a lack of braking torque when they are cold and they can be quite useless when they are below 50F. Definitely not a pad to use through the winter.

Hawk HP Plus pads are excellent for track use and offer confidence-inspiring stops when driving very aggressively, especially when paired with a good set of rotors and stainless brake lines. They are fade-resistant, and provide better stopping power when warmed up. I bought them for their higher-temp operating range and resistance to glazing for when I drive my car on track days and have been very impressed - but driving them on the street is another matter. They generate a lot of noise and dust. If you like keeping your aftermarket rims clean, the dust these pads release will keep you busy. No shims are included and you will want to apply a good anti-squeal compound like CRC Disc Brake Quiet to the backing plates to make them tolerable. The friction compound is a little aggressive for casual street use. Firm and powerful stopping with progressive modulation during hard driving translates on the street to these pads grabbing harder as you slow down to a stop (as they heat up) without adding pressure to the brake pedal. If you drive aggressively all the time or drive a heavier vehicle that is more demanding of its brakes, buy em, you won''t be disappointed.

Great for track and rally races. Once they warm up your stopping power will only be limited by the tire compound. Plan on replacing the rotors occationally if you re braking hard for extended periods...the pads will outlast the rotors.

I''ve been running these since last summer. Initially I liked them quite a bit. Having to put a little temperature into them, after 5-10 good stops they''d be fine and ready for the job. Well, NOW.. These things only get better with ago because they stop my car so hard it hurts! Just ask anyone that I''ve ever given a ride to! They ARE NOISY when they get hot. Honestly, that makes me giggle. For a stock rotor/caliper, these pads do an AMAZING job. I cannot express in words what these pads do consistently for my car.

Early on (bedded in and 200 miles) My brake feel has improved greatly. Initial bite is improved over OEM. Did get moderate fade while bedding in. (after 6 or 7 75mph to 10 mph stops at ABS threshold.) Hoping that will be reduced now after bedding. Won t know much more till I get to try them on a track. Hoping to eliminate pad material transfer to rotors and the resulting vibration. One note about street use. They are noisy. Squeal under light braking when cold. (when warm too :-)). These pads are only for the serious.

I used these for track days only. Using stock rotors the HPS Plus pads did a decent job, but were destroyed after 4 track days (not 4 weekends ... DAYS). Although there was minimum (1 mm on piston side; 2 on non-piston side) pad left; rotors were ruined on 4th track day. NOTE: BMW E46 M3 stock brakes are known for not being up to the track duty: not really fair to swap pads and expect miracles.

I installed these pads along with powerslot rotors several months ago. I was looking for some improvement in all-around brake performance compared to the basic street stuff I had in there. My Z is used for autocross and spirited driving occasions, and the stock stuff wasn''t really confidence-inspiring. After installing the HP+ pads, I was blown away. The difference in performance was astonishing, literally night-and-day. These things stop significantly quicker than my old semi-metallics on the first application, and once you get some heat into them... Watch out! Initial bite is crisp, and the power is maintained throughout the stop. I had to adjust my driving style because they generate so much more power - I was locking up left and right at my first autox event.

However, there are trade-offs to stopping power of this level on the street. First and foremost: These pads are LOUD! They squeal incredibly on gentle stops, even with squeek-stop. (A fellow HP+ user suggested beveling the sides of the pad to reduce noise, but I haven''t been able to try this yet.) Secondly, they dust like crazy. Both of these short-comings are things that you should expect from a track-worthy pad set (ever heard race cars stop in the pits, or seen the brake-dust an F1 car can generate?).

Bottom line: If you''re looking for a streetable pad that''s still aggressive enough for autocross and light track duty, look no further. However, "streetable" is a relative term. If you don''t like to clean your wheels weekly and can''t take some squeal around town, then these aren''t the pads for you.

Hawk HP Plus are a good compromise between a full race pad and a street pad. They allow me to drive 100s of miles to the track and then drive it hard. Much better stopping power then any street pad. They are dusty and tend to squeal around town.

I swap them in/out around track days. Used to leave them in all the time but save money, washing and irritation by swapping to street pads when not needed.

I recommend these to beginning to intermediate drivers for track days. A nice step up in performance from "best" FLAPS pads.

These are by far the best values for the buck and probably the best lightweight vehicle track pads I ve ever used. In 5 years of track days, I ve bought my share of track pads and these are definitely top of the list. I have a lightweight car, but these pads started coming in after the first braking zone and have held up to 30+ minutes of hard driving on race courses in brutal heat, by and advanced driver(Instructor) and never once faded! These pads are easy to modulate braking lap after lap, plus they are easy enough to drive on the street to and from the track. They might squeal a little on the street and dust more than normal, as race compounds usually do. I ve bought pads 3x the price for the same performance. These are a true value and highly reccommended for autox/track days/club racing for lightweight cars!

A month after purchasing my EVO, I heard some squealing, took rims/tires off and to my surprise (for being only a year old) I needed to replace breaks and re-surface rotors. In San Diego there's lots of stop and go driving, and after replacing the front old pads with the new Hawk HP +, there was a squeal that would make my heart sink to the bottoms of my feet. After a day of the squeal, my mechanic buddy and I thought sanding the edges would help the squealing, but to my disapointment there was absolutely NO change. I found myself smile-ing everytime my breaks would not make noise at red lights, it shouldn't be that way HAWK. My car is very nice and the look and sounds does not match up. To be more descriptive on the noise, it sounds very comparible to a very large truck coming to a stop on a downward hill. I am a first time buyer of HAWK anything, and I will be pretty reluctant on recommending products to any one i know, honestly I wouldn't even recommend them to people I don't like. There was no trouble stopping. But the damn noise alone is horrible, maybe they are not the best pads for Mitsubishi s, as a consumer be sure to read all of the reviews from others. It really might save you the embarasment, blood, sweat, tears, and most of all money.

These are a good street/track pad, with good initial cold bite with acceptable fade resistance. With any street/track pad there are compromises, and the two biggest with these are dust and noise. These pads dust like crazy and are fairly noisy, but if you care more about performance, the HP Plus is a decent pad alternative. However, I wouldn t recommend them for the casual driver.

I am writing this review because these are the best pads for track events. I have over 60 days at high speed tracks and slow motorcycle courses in a relatively, heavy ,powerful car. These brakes will not fail you whether you are braking from 150 to 70 or 85 to 25 all day. Yes, the only cars to out brake you will have big brake kits. Then again use yours hard, short and get on the gas!!!

The HP + pads have a lot of stopping power, and are surprisingly responsive, of course only above 100 degrees. When cold you notice the reduced response, however after the first braking zone they re up to temp. I have found no fade even under track use, and they re not terribly hard on the rotors. Dust and noise/vibration has increased, but that s to be expected with this type of pad.

These pads are wonderfull. I have a 1972 Chevelle that I run in C Prepared with Corvette 4 wheel disc brakes. At a weekend event we ran the car on Sat. with good NAPA pads that I had on the car for 2000 miles and then we switched to the HP+ for the Sunday event and it was a different car. The feel and ease of modulation of the brakes is incredible. Yes somewhat noisy on light braking but well worth the addition to the car.

They turn your rims black, they squeel like crazy when warmed up and they go right through rotors. Best autocross pads I ve ever owned, I ve gone through four sets between three cars. If your serious about braking performance using stock rotors and calipers these should be on your list. But you have to be serious - your looking at new rotors for each brake job (maybe 20k miles, maybe less), rims that will always be black, and a car that sounds like it needs new brakes everytime you pull up to a stop light. They work exactly as advertised, I haven t seen anything better.

Even though these are rated for a light event they will not hold up. After one even at Little Telladega Grand Prix these pads were crumbling apart. Had I continued to use them I would have put myself in serious danger. For those that are not familiar with Little Telladega it is a small motorcycle course that doesn t allow for high speed. It is a slight step above a autocross run with times at about a minute.

It could be that my pads were defective but because there is not warranty for "track" use Tire rack will not warranty them. Do not base your buying decision off of the descriptions tirerack has provided. These may be fine for a small autocross even and several of them.

The brake in instructions were confusing to me. I followed the instructions the way I understood them and generated so much heat that the pads caught on fire. I contacted Hawk and they informed me of what I did wrong. The pads made horrible noise so I shaved them down to remove glazed section of pad. Still made horrible noise, I then replaced the pads with another brand. The pads had wonderful stopping power but the noise from the brakes was far too annoying even at the track. I won t use these brake pads again.

I bought these to run my daily driver on track days only. I started bedding them in on the street for a few hundres miles. I will mention to people who are not heading to the track that they do make noise and they create a lot of dust. I don t care as track performance is all I care about for these. At Lime Rock, they performed pretty well. I m typically pretty easy on my equipment and LRP is fairly easy on brakes, but they did fine, and once finished bedding (about 2 laps) they were responsive and never went into fade. I pulled them out when I got home and they looked fine. Not a ton of wear and no visible problems. I did not get any fluid boiling, which I m happy about as I used some pretty low temp fluid (535F Motul) that I got for free just to have new fluid in the car for the track. I ve only had this car on the track one other time, with stock everything, so can t say that the car is tough on brakes at all. My racecar s broken, so this is my way to stay on the track at the moment. I like the pads. I ll probably get something more agressive in the rear next time to move some bias back there. I liked these better than Hawk Blue that I ve used on another car 10 years ago on the track.

Good compromise for street / track driven car. A little noisy (squeal) for the street, but rotor wear and low temperature performance is good. Good fade resistance at the track, they wear a little more than a full race pad but you can still get several hundred track miles out of them.

I had a civic SI with big brakes front and rear using HP+ and the pads were great! Lots of dust and a little squeel at low speed stops but, were great at track events and even daily driving after you got used to it. Now I have pretty much all the same stuff on my S2000 i.e. same size slotted rotors, hp+ pads, ss lines, and ATE super blue fluid. I have done a few track days and every one i have glazed all 4 rotors and pads. I turned the rotors and scuffed the pads and glazed them again. I got a new set of HP+ and they glazed again. I have had good experience and bad with these pads so I''m tempted to try another pad.

Frozen rotors all round and HP+ pads all round. The stock rotors were toast (warped) after two track events, pads didnt last much longer after that.. Replaced both rotors and pads at the same time, I now have about 15k on both and I am very impressed overall:

The pads very rarely squeal, there is alot of dust, but thats to be expected in these type of pads.. The one issue I have noticed with the HP+ is that they seem very inconsistent at track speeds, making the car seem very twitchy under hard braking. Sometimes it feels as if one side heats up and grabs harder than the other, causing the car to pull slightly, then the other heats up and grabs, causing it to pull back straight. For that reason, they are not particularly confidence inspiring on the open track, but oddly enough, they are much better than I expected on the road, very progressive, quiet, and long wearing for race pads.

The rotors worked exactly as advertized though. They have been to three track events and 10+ autocrosses since install and remain dead straight, with no cracks! I will put these rotors on all of my cars from now on, and I would recommend them to anyone for a daily driver or a car that is tracked regularly.. theyre great.

One front rotor had a deep groove in it. I am not sure what caused it but it appeared after a track session using the Hawk plus pads.

I ve run EBC, Porterfield and stock pads and usually get about 3-4 events per set (6 sessions per) at places like Roebling and VIR. The HP Plus pads are nearly as good as the Porterfields for overall stopping power but seem to be holding up a lot better and show less wear on the rotors. The WRX has been problematic on brakes and I think this is the best combination I ve run to date (about 40 weekends).

I use these pads exclusively for autocross and track events, and they ve performed MUCH better than I anticipated. The fade resistance is terrific, and the stopping power when hot is fantastic! No rotor warping either, and that s a big concern as rotors for this car are rather expensive! The only downside is a LOT of brake dust on the wheels and the side of the car after the last track event; I realize the dust is to be expected, but it was surprising to see that much at the end of the day. I did a motor swap(ITR) with this car so needed better brakes. I can stop on a dime now. I drive this car to the track at this point so I hear a little noise up to 25mph. Its only in the rear and I don’t care. Going 100+mph on the straight, lifting on “1”, hitting the brakes hard at “4-5”, shift/trailbrake, hit the gas. Now that’s fun!!!

I use these on the street and for track days. No autocross, no dragging. Great brakes for my purposes. They are very dusty but it washes off. It takes practice to control weight transfer when coming off the brakes because they are so abrupt. I use cheap disks - no slots, no holes, no cryo - and replace them with every 2nd set of pads.

I installed Hawk HP+ pads and Powerslot rotors 500 miles back and have done several autocrosses on this setup. The performance is disappointing, no better than the stock equipment they replaced. Worse, the pads are the noisiest I have ever experienced on my car or those of any of my friends. I was prepared for a little noise--I ve installed the Hawks on my ZO6 and they re working very well--but my MINI now sounds like a garbage truck. I m taking the pads off first chance I get, and I ll see how the OEM pads work with the new rotors. I ve got friends who are very happy with these rotors, so I am suspecting the pads. Advice to MINI owners considering this approach: don t bother.

I run a set of HP Plus s as dedicated track day pads on my 200sx. Even with stock rotors and minimum brake ducting the fade resistance is very respectable. Being able to put them on before I head out is a big plus. Not sure how these would fare on a heavier car (my machine weighs ~2300 lbs), but I m very happy with them on-track.

As you may have expected, I can t recommend them for street use. Without heat in them, these things get LOUD.

These pads are good for lazy folk like me that don t enjoy the chore of switching out brake pads/rotors for track events. The torque level of the pad is not really comprable to a full-on race pad, but it does put up with the increased heat with no issues at all. Good on the street with the occassional squeel at light pedal pressures.

After 500 miles, the brake noise was like a barn door in a church choir. After 1000 miles, the noise was like Fred Flinstone s "after work" whistle. The rotors were destroyed 200 miles later. The brake dust was so bad, you could follow the trail wherever I went. I would STRONGLY ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY unless you plan on using this **EXCLUSIVELY** at one/two track days

These brake pads are an excellent buy, especially for an avid track day driver or auto-xer. I auto-x and track my car just about every weekend, and drive hard on the street every day (to and from school and work, as well as road trips). These brakes have never disappointed me, and their rotor wear is very very good. They are a little dusty and groan a bit once you get them good and toasty, but by that point in time you re having so much fun you could care less. Personally I don t mind the extra dust, and the occasional sqeak or groan doesn t even bother me, especially since I drive a full track car on the street as a daily (its already noisy :)). Excellent buy, and with the brake lines, this car feels like its on an aircraft carrier catch cable for stops. I ll definately be purchasing again.

I''m on the 2nd set of hp+ pads....25000 on the first set w/agressive street and many track days.

The combination is awesome on the street...feels like I''m pulling over 1g on braking but I never hit the ABS. The rotors are now to or below spec so the track day braking is not as good as original. The pads w/stock rotors were not that much better than oem but with the zimmermans...marked improvement. The ss brake lines make a firm pedal. I will not repl w/drilled rotors as you lose heat sink with less material...w/do slotted. Even w/track days I expect to get 20000 at least on the pads...last ones lasted over 2 years.

Installed Powerslot and HP Plus specifically for BMWCCA HPDS track days. Combination was everything I expected on this heavy E34 with stock calipers. Loud and dusty, but expected. Excellent initial bite and stopping power, while maintaining predictability for settling taps and trailbraking. Had to compress braking zones to reduce fluid heat. Boiled a bit and got a little squishy on first session. After this adjustment was great for two days. Still on car four weeks after event. Need to remove. Embarassingly noisy on the street. Going back to PBR street for daily driving but but will continue HP Plus combo for track days.

Anyone that is buying this, is pretty much saying "I want a pad for street and track."

And that sums it up, that s what they re made for, and that s what they handle. So it s not fair to judge it too harshly on the street or at the track. They do squeal a little bit, they are dusty, but the performance gain is well worth it. Fading is reduced greatly, and the gripping power when hot is amazing for streetable pads. Even when cold I find they grip harder then I would have ever thought a track worthy pad could.

Am now buying for my 86 944 turbo as well.

Pads squeal under light pressure. Dust like mad, but at an acceptable level for the performance they deliver. And definately hold their own temperature wise. I m an aggressive driver where rotors change color and pads hold their own... When brake fade does occurr its under predictable circumstances and levels.

I bought these pads for use at the track for driving school events. They are great for the track. In fact, lots of other participants use the same pads. On the street though, the noise level is extreme, especially coming to slow stops, such as at stop signs or drive through windows. As I am participating in 6 events this summer, I have left them on the car. They will come off for the winter. The level of dust on the wheels seems the same as the stock pads. Again, they are a great pad for the track.

This is my second set of HP+ pads. A third set is on the shelf. The Hawk HP+ pads provide consistent, reliable stopping power on the street or track. They warm-up quickly and are good for everyday use. On the track the stopping power is reliable and predictable. Fade is minimal. The downside is dust. These pads are dirty requiring frequent wheel cleaning. They are harder on rotors compared to stock pads but agressive driving demands good braking. I have been pleased with their performance.

What I like best about Hawk HP+ pads is that they work extremely well and I don t have to switch pads for track days. The worst things about them are the dust and the price.

I have used about 5 sets of Hawk HP+ pads over 3 years and 20 driving schools, on an Integra. I wanted better stopping power on the track, and these pads have been excellent for that.

Before I had any experience with track pads, I was warned that they are dusty, they are unreliable on the street because they are meant to work hot, and they squeal a lot.

My experience with HP+ pads is they are extremely dusty, they are completely reliable on the street, and they almost never squeal at all. Mine are on a summer car, so I have no winter experience with these pads.

As I gain experience and get smoother on the track, each set of HP+ brake pads is lasting longer than the previous set. There was an exception last year when a set of HP+ pads wore out much faster than usual. Maybe the pads were bad, or maybe it was the rotors or the driver. (That would be me.)

Sometimes there is a deposit of pad material on the disks after track use. Seeing that, some mechanics have suggested I try various more aggressive pads they like. I haven t, because I like the convenience of using the same pad for street and track.

Though I like the Hawk HP+ a lot, they are not ideal for me. I expect eventually to find something I like better from Hawk or another manufacturer, but until then I am a repeat customer.

What a difference! I ran the car hard at Blackhawk in a driving event and the brakes were perfect with absolutely no fade at all. Blackhawk is hard on brakes too. We had one session last over an hour and the brakes felt great. They are exactly as advertised. I originally planned to only use these pads for autocross and track days but they feel so good the slight noise and dust is not that big of a deal. I run them all the time now. I can drive to the track, drive it hard all day, and drive home without ever breaking out a tool. The increased stopping power is very significant. I would guess 50% improvement.

These pads were meant for the STi, the stockers threw out much more dust than the HP+ s. These babys scream for mercy when you get them warm and start using them hard. I love sounding like a big rig at the stop lights in town, if you don'' t, don''t get these. I got the front and back sets at the same time and noticed an immediate improvement, but it took a while for the ABS computer to catch up to the new stopping power, I did manage to skid the front tires a few times on the steet right after I got them, still trying to stop like with the stock pads. Overall a vast improvement with minimal street draw backs from noise, and warm up delay. and they work all day long at the auto-X days.

This is my wife s car and in preparation for a road course open track event, I installed a set of HP+ pads. The car has the larger 12-inch front rotors from an Impala/Monte Carlo and stainless brake lines. I improvised some cooling ducts from hardware store materials. I test drove it first and did not expect them to work well when cold. Talk about surprise! They grabbed HARD right from the first stop. I warned my wife "don t get rear-ended the first time you use these things". Our 2-year old son offered his own endorsement: "Whoa".

They are dusty, but the dust rinses off easily. They squeal sometimes, but not as bad as other high-performance pads I ve used on other cars. My other warning to my wife was she better put up with the dust and noise because she s not going to want to go back to some lesser pads. And she hasn t...they worked flawlessly for her at the track event, they ve stayed on the car for months of daily driving now. They appear to be very rotor-friendly for as powerful as they are.

I m particularly impressed with the fact that they aren t all that much more expensive than "top of the line" parts store replacements. Great bang for the buck. Maybe not the right pads for everybody, but probably for more people than you might think.

The Hawk HP Plus Pads were used on the front only for track days, using the Hawk HPS Pads for the rears since the car is FWD. This combo gives me just the braking bias I was looking for. Just for your info I go thru 2 sets of front pads for every set of rear pads, also I get a between 4-5 hours of track time on a set of front pads which is either 1 or 2 events.

These pads made a very big upgrade in stopping over the previous few sets I have tried. I have always been able to fade brakes with country roads until these. When first warming up the pads there is noticeable change increase friction, but it levels off after a little bit. I use these for street driving only and they work well, except my friends are offended by the noise and dust they make :) In very cold weather it takes noticeable extra brake pressure to stop at first. Pad life seems fairly good for the performance.

Complaints about excessive noise, dust, and rotor wear are completely justified, although it is to be expected for a pad of this level of performance. This is NOT a race pad. HP+ would be suitable for spirited street use or autocross, but on a track, spend the extra cash for a proper set of Hawk Blue.

That said, I would not run any other pad on my daily driver. I wash my wheels twice as frequently as I wash my car, but it is well worth the effort.

These brake pads far exceed the stock pads, especially at the extremes (i.e. cold and hot braking). I''ve noticed some brake squeal over the past few days, but it''s really not too bad to be honest with you. I also haven''t noticed any brake dust at all. I would highly recommend these pads for everyday use. I haven''t had the opportunity to drive the car hard lately (it''s my daily driver) so I can''t comment on how these pads would work at the track; I would predict that they''d work very well, although I think they also might squeal a bit more if they get heated up a lot.

I am on my second set of HP Plus pads. They are outstanding. The only downside is noise and dust but this is small price to pay for the performance. Very simular to the Ferodo 2000 compound which also has a very linear response. Can be made to fade under extremely hard track use.

I recently converted my FWD eclipse from the stock 9" rotors to the 11" rotors from the AWD model, and when I first did the conversion I installed a set of AXXIS metalmaster pads (I was out of money from buying the other brake parts)... and within a week I had warped rotors and the brakes faded worse than stock. Then I stepped up to EBC Redstuff. Those were better but they only worked hot, and still faded pretty bad on twisty roads. Now I ve switched to the Hawk HP Plus. Roads that I used to have to slow to a crawl halfway down I can now charge down all the way to the bottom. I can only get them to fade if I really try hard. Yeah, they screech more than a dump truck, grind like gravel at crawling speeds, and wear one set of rotors per set of pads, but if that bothers you... maybe you should be driving an SUV.

HP Plus pads were very disappointing. Not only do they easily make a mess of the wheels (w/dust) but my car is now as noisy as some buses - very embarrassing! The stopping power was much improved over stock, but at too high of a cost.

This is a great brake application for people that like to stop fast and have good response. They do make a lot of noise and squeak a lot but it doesnt affect performance at all. I d love to put the same application on the rear, but the rear fitment in the cryo s was not available at the time I ordered them. I have a chrome and blue color scheme happening on my car and the rotors stand out pretty nice against the stock GT rims that come w/ the stang. I ve never been steered wrong w/ the tire rack, but the tire warranty from Brigestone on the Blizzaks WS-50 s really ----. I had these tires on when I put my brakes on and had a flat within the first 200 miles on the tires. I ll never buy tires from here again but as for mechanical and aftermarket parts, I would consider tire rack again for my next purchase.

Great hot performance; acceptable cold performance. 75% street use, 25% track and autocross. Occasional noise, but not severe. Good cross-over pad. This is the second set of Hawk HP Plus pads I have used on this vehicle, and have recommended same to others based on positive experience.

You could totally tell the difference if braking power even in bad weather conditions. Best brake pads that I have ever purchased. I would recommend them to anyone that needs to slow down quick.

Great pads for track days and aggressive street/hwy driving. There is some dusting, but thats expected with these pads; overall great preformance and they last a decent amount of miles considering my driving style.

The only thing though, you must have decent tires in decent shape to truly enjoy these brakes. You need your whole setup dialed in to really appreciate what these hawks can do. Otherwise you might lock up your front brakes if you have non-preformance tires and they are not in the best condition.

They do also wear your rotors down more so than a stock pad. I usually change all rotors and pads at least once every 1.5 years and accept that frequency of change. With these pads, some SS lines, and stock brembo blanks; its a great setup on a integra/civic

Would buy again.

I installed these Baer EradiSpeed brake Rotors on my 93 Mustang GT autocross racer and they are just great! They have excellent stopping power along with the Hawk HP Race brake pads installed with it. When it comes around corners at about 1.02 G s, you can really feel the stopping power. I had little or no brake dust on them. I highly recommend these if you want serious stopping power

I use this pad for track only, trust me if you do not want to draw attention to your car(noisy) and you do not want to change brake disks every 3000mi or so take them off as soon as the track day is done, those are the best pads you can buy with stock rotors, My car will outbreak many of the Brembo setups on the same car, I am 100% satisfied with this pad, NO FADE WHATSOEVER AFTER 20 LAPS, lot s of NOISE very annoying on the street, LOT S OF DUST ON THE TRACK, GO ALL THE WAY WITH GOODRICH SS BRAKE LINES AND MOTUL 600 BRAKE FLUID THIS WILL IMPROVE YOUR BRAKING ON THE TRACK ALOT.

squeal like CRAZY. dust about stock level. absolutely fantastic pad: grabs cold almost as well as hot, no fade. one caution: the backing plate was not cut precisely to fit my stock calipers. however, the tire rack folks sent me 3 sets of pads (!!!), so i was able to mix and match, and send the unused pads for full credit to tire rack. i was very happy with this solution.

Good Stock replacement pads if you re into track days. Beware the EBC s as they tend to chew through rotors on the track. These tend to start to fade but reach a point where they don t get any worse. When a stray piece of pad gets caught between the pad and rotor they tend to grind pretty bad. Also, they cool down a lot slower than some of the pads on my racecar (Hawk Blues and Pagid Yellows). Always be sure to give them a good cool down before stopping cause they retain so much heat. I haven t noticed any real difference in the Brembo rotors compared to stock other than you can t resurface them. If you really want stopping power, or your car can t get into ABS during maximum braking, definitely opt for a big brake kit. Just replacing the pads usually won t provide any real change unless you go to a race pad, but they only work hot, they re louder than hell, and you ll go through pads and rotors every oil change--which gets real expensive! Think of it this way, in three sets of regular pads and rotors, you could have paid for that brembo or baer kit! Also, if you re driving on the track with any regularity, DON T BUT CROSS DRILLED--They will crack and they diminish your braking surface area (i.e. longer braking distance). Sure they look cool for the street, but in a racing environment, no no no. Slotted rotors with a good pad and maybe even some brake ducting will be more than enough. Good luck!

Great pad for those with a lightweight car and someone not looking for ultimate performance. Can easily be used for street/autocross as well as 45 minuted track day sessions.

These are a great street/track crossover pad. Their cold performance is comparable to a stock pad. When they get little heat in them, they become quite aggressive. At the track it takes two laps before they get enough heat to really start performing (which is quicker than my tires!); you need a pretty aggressive autocross course (and little waiting between runs) to warm them up enough to perform aggressively. I have used these at four track days with no fading. I have experienced some occasional and slight noise, but that was expected and I haven t found it problematic. This is my second purchase of these pads.

I use this SHO as my Summer daily driver and for track days. The car is heavily modified. The brake setup currently consists of 94-04 Mustang Cobra components front and rear, with 13" Baer EradiSpeed 2-pcs front rotors, PBR HD calipers and D412 pads with braided stainless steel lines front and rear. I use the Hawk HPS pads front and rear on the street and switch out the fronts to the Hawk HP Plus pads for track days.

The HP Plus pads work very well on the track. They do need one firm stop to get them up to temperature, but they never fad even after a full day worth of abuse on the track. Believe me, that is saying something for a full weight nose heavy 3500 lbs FWD sedan. Of course 3" front brake ducts and Ate fluid also help. Yes the HP Plus pads dust heavily and they will squeal like a pig when driven on the street while using light pedal pressures. The HP Plus pads can be driven on the street if needed, but I would suggest using them for track days and running the HPS pads on the street. Since both of these pads are from the same Hawk friction material family, it is quick and easy to switch back and forth between them with a minimal break-in period while using the same rotor. Both these Hawk pads offer excellent performance for the dollar and I highly recommend them.

Good track pads with limited life. Trying HT-10 to see if they will last longer. HP Plus were quiet.
