I have driven my 1996 Toyota T-100 about 40,000 total now. I have determined the stock rotors are defective, perhaps due to the fact that I have the large tire option toyota offered, but they didn t upgrade the brakes. The rotors would warp every 20k like clockwork. With the power slots cryo, I don t have to paint them, as they have a 1950 s quality coating, and those hawk heavy duty towing pads really grab well in all conditions with very light dust compared to my old TRD pads, and very low noise. I will mention that the rotors do hum, as written in the instructions, but is is a sound that is not irritating. Kind of sounds light a knobby tire on the highway, but much more quiet. I also notice that the front feels heavier, like the rotors weigh more. Perhaps they have to keep from warping. Overall, I would tell you to buy this package. The pads are honestly super quiet with only an occasional 1 or 2 mild squeaks per week, depending on humidity. This truck is a nightmare 10 hour job for me to get the rotors off and do a complete job, you can probably do it faster, but not nicer. Good luck- New Jersey Nick

the vehicle is used to deliver newspapers. with stops in excess of 500 stops a day the pads are holding up quite well as compared to other national brands. I ve tried just about every brand out there, most only last about 2 weeks on average. the hawk brake pads i ve purchaced have been going on 4 weeks without any signs of wear!

Replaced EBC slotted rotors and Pro Ceramic pads with severe warping after only 5000 miles with the Hawk/Brembo combo. A little squealy until the cadmium coating wore off, but stopping distance is better, and absolutely no warpage after 2000 additional miles. We used Brembo/Hawk combos in Champcar on several of the teams I worked for with similar results. Simply awesome.

Very satisfied with combination...brakes are not touchy and initial application is like before change. However, with more than light pressure, the stopping is dramatically improved - like driving into deep water! No squeal, no dust, no drama, just much safer braking. Haven t had to do an emergency stop (and hope not to), but my tests on clear road (after break in period) gives me great confidence I m in very good shape.

I followed the break in procedures precisely.

Ordered the Hawk Super Duty, and they squeaked too much...(had no idea they would), customer service ordered me the Regular Duty at either half price or at cost (I forgot). I actually haven t had time to install those yet. The squeak is not as bad now, but it still present...did notice much more pedal pressure required.

Great stopping power compared to stock pads. However, noise (squeeling) is unbearable at times.

More than doubled the mileage on these pads and they performed much better than the factory and several aftermarket products (Auto Zone & Car Care best pads)which only avg 16,000-25,000 miles.
