I bought these Centric Plain 120 rotors to replace Brembo blanks that had about 148,000 miles on them and started a little steering wheel shake. So far I am very happy with them. They ve worked great right our of the box with Hawk HPS pads. No smells or burning off corrosion coatings and no squealing or squeaking. The cross hashing does make a slight low grown, but to me it is a more confidence building sound that the brakes are really biting in than an annoyance. This rotor and pad set-up brakes smooth, strong and quiet. With so many miles on this car, I didn t want to spend too much, so I didn t go with the cryo treated, but since I drive about 42,000 miles a year, I wanted rotors that were good and well-made enough that I don t have to replace them soon. I will probably try the cryo-treated on my Odyssey minivan when I replace them in the next year or so.

I use the Miata for both street and autocross. The upgrade was very effective, especially for the cost. The brakes not only stop faster and are more fade resistant than stock, but are much easier to modulate also. No more lock-ups and flat spotted tires.

Great products so far and my expectations have been exceeded. Poor reviews on the Tire rack web site but other web sites provide many positive reviews of this brake combo. That led to my decision to buy.

A great street pad for a daily driver, Minimal wear after 10k miles. Works well cold. Excellent feel, response, and easy to modulate without anti-lock brake system. Much better than stock or Advance Silverline used in the past. Wear rate excellent for normal use.

I,ve put about 3,000 miles on these brake parts, and the rotors still have the cross hatch machine marks on them. Took a few weeks for them to break in, but now they work really well. No serious brake dust either. What a relief. I will put these on my other Volvo as soon as it s ready.

I changed from the horrible stock system to the HPS pads and slotted rotors and never been happier. No more dust, stops on a dime. Saved my wife from hitting a deer. We don t race the car, but do drive it VERY spirited and I can t say enough about them. I will be putting the same setup on my Audi a4 very soon.

My 1999 Ford Taurus SHO definitely had some stopping power issues from day 1 when purchased it in 2000. The brakes felt undersized for this heavy V8 car. Upgrading with Hawk pads and Ate rotors produced a dramatic improvement in braking power. Although the hawk pad were rated high for brake dust and noise, I had no issues with this.

We drive our 2002 Tahoe in the Ozark Mountains on a daily basis. We live at nearly 2,500 feet of elevation, and within the first mile of our drive, we have to traverse more than 500-feet down to the "main road." From there, things get worse - winding switchbacks, stop-and-go driving, hilly terrain - you name it, and we deal with it.

So imagine my surprise (and pure pleasure) when I managed to get more than 95,000 miles of life from my Hawk HPS pads and Frozen Rotors. Truth be told, the front rotors showed less than 35% wear, and the front pads showed less than 25% wear. The rear rotors showed less than 35% wear, but the rear pads were nearing the end of their service life. But that s after 95,000 hard miles!! I dare you to find another brake set-up that could last 95,000 miles under these conditions: 4,800-lb vehicle, mountainous terrain, stop-and-go-driving...

I replaced the stock pads, rotors, and fluid at 25,000 miles in November of 2003. Around Thanksgiving of 2011, the rear brakes started squeaking it bit while stopping, so we promptly placed an order for Centric Cryogenically-treated rotors and another set of Hawk HPS pads. When I replaced the old Frozen Rotors (cryo-treated) and Hawk HPS pads, I was literally FLOORED by how fantastic they looked after 95,000 miles...

Do yourself a favor - invest in the Hawk HPS pads and some cryogenically-treated rotors. I guarantee you ll never have to worry about your brakes ever again. I d also recommend a brake fluid flush just to keep things fresh. We used Wilwood DOT4 fluid both times and have never had any complaints.

Brake dust was minimal, noise was non-existent, performance was stellar, and life was unreal. A total WIN. Thanks, TireRack!

I had the HPS installed when the car was new in 2004 and the reason I did it was I learned from g35driver forum that quite a few people were having brake problem. Later in 2005 Infiniti provided 3-year, 36K warranty on the brakes due many problems. As for the Hawk HPS, they are the best brake pads I ever had. I have 96K miles now and need to replace the front pad!!! And the amazing part is that I still have the stock rotors!!! So the pads are really gentle on the rotors to say the least. The car for some reason already chewed up two sets of rear pads in 96K miles. I will be installing new front rotors and HPS pads in a few days. Great, great pads.

These brake pads have exceeded everything that I expected of them for street use. This is my first set of these HPS pads although I have used the Blue racing pads on other vehicles before. I bought them based on the reputation of the brand and they work really well without any noise or dust and I have not found any hint of fading.
