I started out with all stock components, I warped them easily. The pads and rotors are just great I love the performance. They stop without a squeal and I have not experienced any heat soak. I had them over a year now and they feel new. Like most rotors they will get a little rust on them when it sits for a few days in the rain but the rust has not affected the performance and it goes away with a quick drive around the block.
My stock rubber brake line exploded on me, sending my pedal to the floor and that was a scary experience. I had the G-stop brake lines for a a couple of months now and they just give you the confidence in your pedal. The stainless steel lines are of very good quality and they give you feedback and improved feeling. I definitely don''t think twice about my brakes holding up on the road

I mostly do spirited mountain driving on the weekends, and that consists a lot of hard braking. These brake pads certainly do the job and it does it good. Good for the street and autocross. More than enough of what you will be needing it for if you put it on a daily driven car that is driven aggressively at times.
All in all, you get a bit more of what you pay for, good pads.

I upgraded the pads and rotors at the same time, and it has made a big difference. Stopping power is great, and minimal dust.

If you tend to drive your vehicle aggresively, do not buy these pads. I bought these thinking that they would be a decent street pad. Braking torque is decreased, pedal feel is weird, requires more pedal to slow vehicle down, overall I''m not satisfied at all with the performance aspect of these pads. For those that this matters to, they do dust less, and hardly make any noise.

If these pads weren''t so rediculiously noisey they would be great pads. I''ve had them a few weeks, and they have very good stopping power, but they also have a constant squeak/churp that increases with speed. I took the time to break them in twice,(I took them out and resurfaced them once to try and quiet them down) but they still develop a loud squeak after a while. The rotor are also in great shape with no glazing or warping thats noticable. As far as brake dust they''re not terrible about producing it, but they''re not at all great about not producing dust either. I do not recommend these pads for street use soley for the noise. It''s annoying and embarrassing. I plan to replace them soon because of it. Otherwise they''re great pads

I instaled new rotors, brake lines and Hawk pads in Dec of `07. 25000 miles later the fronts need replaced. I am very happy with the performance of these pads. I live in east Tennessee, lots of mountains and rolling hills, two lane roads:) I rated these pads an 8 simply because I have nothing except the OEM to compare them to. Great stopping power and moderate dust. A small amount of noise especially with first brake application. I had hoped for more miles before changing pads again, but I am very happy with the performance of these pads.

Decent pads for the street, much less dust than OEM; however, they do not have quite the initial bite as OEM pads. While they may be ok for limited autocross duty, they are not acceptable for track or driving schools, quickly overheating, glazing, and a creating potentially dangerous situation.

I drive mostly in the Chicago city area and with the weather constantly changing from hot to cold the pads still manage very well. I put the hawk street pads on all tires and I was shocked! they break effortlessly and going from 50 to 0 mph is a breeze. They only faded one time and that was on a drag strip after the 3rd race!! break dust on the front after 20000 miles is a pain although they weren''t too dusty when I first bought them. the rear doesn''t dust at all. also after 20000 miles they got kinda loud and started making grinding noises as well as a squeak here and there. [now keep in mind that I drive VERY spiritedly and probably decreased the life on my pads by another 20000 miles] the a.b.s. very rarely turns on but its still alot less than stock pads. they also evenly use up the rotor without damaging it. Now I am debating on what to buy because I want less dust but more breaking power.

I actually bought these by mistake. I had meant to buy the Hawk Ceramics to match up with the ones on my front brakes. They had worked very well for me and had almost zero brake dust.
These pads are far more effective than the OEM pads I replaced and are very responsive. The only problem is that they do seem rather dusty.
