I replaced my worn out Satisfied Pro pads with the Hawk HPS pads because Tire Rack was out of stock of the Satisfied Pro pads equivalent to the Hawk HPS pads. I am extremely glad I ended up with the Hawk HPS pads. My old pads didn t fit onto the slider pins or into the caliper very well and they often had an intermittant grinding noise from the pad material. The Hawk HPS pads installed extremely easily with a perfect fit (not too tight and not too loose) and they also have much less noise than the Satisfied Pro pads. Whomever rated the Hawk pads for Tire Rack was not the same person to review the Satisfied Pro pads. The stopping power is very similar and the dust is about the same, but the Hawk pads win by a long shot because they don t grind intermittently and because they fit the calipers much better.

To all the people rating the Hawk HPS pads, check your rotor combination. The drilled/slotted rotors are FOR SHOW/TRACK... They just make things worse on the street. I combined stainless brake lines, HPS pads and smooth cryo-treated rotors and it is AMAZING the stopping power. I drive VERY spirited and these things stop so fast everything in my car gets thrown to the front when I brake hard. I was most impressed when I took them on a very twisted road course and after a few minutes in and the pads warmed up it seems like the stopping power increased. Not a single bit of fade for the whole course, but I haven t tried them on a track yet. I was so impressed by the pads I bought another set to keep in my garage for when I go to change them out again.

The brake rotor and pads fit perfectly, there easy to install. The performance of the the the Hawk HPS brake pads and the Power Slot rotor combination braking performance is great. I have great braking power and very little brake dust accumilation on the wheels. I own a chevrolet Avalanche and am very satisfied with the quality and performance.

Changed to these to improve braking response and bite on my wife s Outback. They have made a considerable improvement countering the constant forward thrust coming from the automatic transmission as well as increasing the brakes ability to slow the car even when loaded down. The only compromise is slightly more dusting of the wheels which is well worth it.

Normally when you hear extended pad life, you tend to laugh because it is a performance pad that you know will be providing braking from high speeds but after 34,000+ miles and three years I still have 8/16ths left which is amazing. The stopping power is better than stock and paired with a slotted rotor is athestically pleasing as it looks good, but performs better. It should be noted that the slotted rotors contribute a bit to the long pad life of the HPS pads since they don t get as hot as with non slotted rotors. I m getting ready to replace my rear brakes and will be matching the fronts power slot rotors and HPS pads.

The hawk hps pads combined with centric rotors completely transformed my 2007 4runner. The original pads had tapers at either end and coupled with the anti-lock brakes they made dings in my rotors (really annoying and made the car shimmy to a stop). I put General grabbers on in conjunction with the hawk pads and centric rotors and couldn t be happier. The hawk pads are amazing, no wooden feel just perfect modulation. The hawk pads are also completely flat and I have not experienced any damage to the rotors when the anti-lock brakes kick in. I live in a rural area and unpaved roads and snow/ice result in the abs kicking in a lot. The hawk pads make a lot of dust but that s to be expected with a performance pad, the dust is very easy to remove though (doesn t bake on like cheap pad dust).

I was looking for a better setup for Autobahn driving and this setup works better than stock but the pads do not bit aggressive enough when braking hard. The initial bite is good but they feel like they will let go during the last few seconds before coming to a complete stop. I am currently looking for better pads.
