Tens of thousands of miles of driving in all types of weather conditions is hard on brakes. And while drivers expect their vehicle’s disc brake pads to wear out over time, what they don’t always realize is that their vehicle’s brake rotors are wearing out too. The pressure and heat generated by the brake pads rubbing against the brake rotors combined with the dirt and debris that gets between them wears away metal, slowly removing the material that was designed to act as a heat sink to maintain braking performance and efficiency. Once brake rotors have worn to their minimum thickness it’s time to replace them along with the pads.

While Brembo is best known for its racing and race-inspired high performance braking systems, Brembo is also a global supplier of brake rotors and other brake components. Brembo manufactures over 26 million brake rotors annually in over a thousand different designs, including those used by original equipment manufacturers and original equipment suppliers.

You can have Brembo quality in original equipment replacement brake rotors that are fully compatible with your vehicle’s original brake system. And as you would expect, Brembo OE Replacement Brake Rotors are designed to equal or exceed the performance of the original equipment rotors that came on your vehicle. For that matter, in order to provide higher levels of performance and comfort, Brembo even developed one-piece cast rotors to replace original equipment two-piece rotors that feature economically stamped steel centers fastened to the braking surfaces.

Starting with a casting from a Brembo foundry that assures uniform thickness, Brembo OE Replacement Brake Rotors are machined to exacting tolerances (the rotor run-out tolerance is only 0.0025”, about half of the industry norm), feature a braking surface finish (ground or fine turned) compatible with the vehicle’s OE specifications and are electronically balanced to minimize the possibility of vibration.

Brembo offers its OE Replacement Rotors with the same levels of quality, technology and performance that have earned it Dodge Viper, Ferrari, Ford Mustang Cobra and Mercedes-Benz OEM fitments. All Brembo OE Replacement Rotors are manufactured under QS-9000 and ISO 9001 certifications to ensure the highest level of quality. Brembo brake rotors offer applications for most every automobile — domestic to import, compact car to luxury SUV.

NOTE: Brembo Original Equipment (OE) Replacement Rotors should always be installed in axle pairs to maintain the most effective brake performance.

NOTE: BRAKES ARE A SAFETY CRITICAL PART OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.

Brake components should be installed by a competent mechanic in a professional manner. Any incorrect installation of brake components can cause a major safety problem or an accident. If you are not a competent and qualified mechanic you should not attempt to install these products, but should take the vehicle to a vehicle dealer or competent automotive mechanic for their installation.

Disc brake pads and rotors are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Read More.

Brembo has the best stock rotor replacement for my BMW 325i. Perfect for track work. No problems with warping, wear. Highly recommend them. Great performance and even better price.

Used the Hawk 9012 pads. Worked very well, however rotor wear and pad wear was very high. Switched to Hawk HT-10 and pad life increased significantly when doing track work. Rotor wear with Hawk HT-10 much better.

I purchased the Brembo Blank replacment rotors based on the product name and good reviews. The combination of the Brembo rotor and the Akebono Proact pads are good when it comes to stopping power and noise. Some details that should be noted are: 1)-The original shims that came off the old pads could not be swapped over. (the new pads did not come with shims) 2)-The Brembo rotors rappidly create rust around the rotor hat area which looks very poor when looking at the wheels. My wheels are 5 spokes aluminum and you can see the calipers and the rust. I should have listened to the other reviews and either painted them before installation or applied a corrosion inhibiting coating just to that area. 3)-I DO like that the rotor comes with a ware indicator dimple on the rotor surface to indicate when to replace it. 4-)Pads come with a small tube of high temp lube 5)-VERY easy installation 6)Virtualy NO dust as compared to my stock pads 7)Pads are quite. Althought I did not swap over the original shims, I have not heard any noise from the brakes. I would purchase the pads again but would probably use a different rotor that has better corrosion inhibiting properties already applied. I use my vehicle as a daily commuter with an average 82 mile commute.
