I bought these pads and rotors because I was not happy with the stopping power of the stock brakes especially in the rain. The very 1st night I put them on we got the aftermath of rain from the tornado in OK. The rain from the tornado came to Nashville, TN and there was 3 inches of water on the expressway in no time flat. These breaks performed as if it wasn t even raining let alone was driving in 3 inches of water. During normal braking they seem like any other brakes but put some pressure on them and hang on to your hat ! If your not wearing your seat belt your going to mess up your dash with the grease from your face. They are quite and smooth. I left the stock rotors on the rear and used the Hawk pads all around. The Cryo-stop rotors and Hawks pads are a great stopping combo. I highly recommend them to anyone. Next TIRES !!

Rotors: Centric Plain 120 Series Rotors

April 13, 2012

I bought these Centric Plain 120 rotors to replace Brembo blanks that had about 148,000 miles on them and started a little steering wheel shake. So far I am very happy with them. They ve worked great right our of the box with Hawk HPS pads. No smells or burning off corrosion coatings and no squealing or squeaking. The cross hashing does make a slight low grown, but to me it is a more confidence building sound that the brakes are really biting in than an annoyance. This rotor and pad set-up brakes smooth, strong and quiet. With so many miles on this car, I didn t want to spend too much, so I didn t go with the cryo treated, but since I drive about 42,000 miles a year, I wanted rotors that were good and well-made enough that I don t have to replace them soon. I will probably try the cryo-treated on my Odyssey minivan when I replace them in the next year or so.
