"Unbeatable Under the Hood"

In most cases, AEM offers its Short Ram intake systems as an economical alternative to a Cold Air Intake System or to drivers who are concerned about hydrolock. However, during the development process, AEM found certain applications responded favorably to shorter inlet lengths over a longer Cold Air Intake System. AEM performs extensive temperature testing to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment, allowing the Short Ram Intake System to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible. So, for some vehicles, AEM recommends the Short Ram system only, since it would be the best performing air intake system for that application.

Soft Mounts Flex With Your Engine (So Your Bracket Doesn't)

In addition to guaranteeing a perfect fit, AEM soft mounts, included with every AEM air intake system, provide a flexible pivot point for the intake where it mounts to the chassis to prevent added stress on the mounting bracket, which could cause it to break.

50 State Legal Each system is submitted to the California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B.) to achieve an executive order verifying that they are 50-state legal. Consequently, every AEM Short Ram Intake System is either C.A.R.B. exempt or pending C.A.R.B. exemption.
