I purchased these lights for my 2011 Silverado LT. Was told that they were plug and play for my truck. Long story short, they were not. Was told at the truck shop that the tail light wiring harnesses were too short, and that wires would have to be spliced in order to fit the bulb sockets to the lamps. I was not willing to have any butchering done on the wiring of my new truck, as my warranty is valuable to me. I ordered left and right tail lamp wiring harnesses for a 2011 GMC. The harnesses were very easy to install, and my new lights are finally working after 4 months of waiting to do the install job right. Beautiful, right? Nope. The left side lamp assembly was _broken_ at upper right edge of the red lamp plastic, when I unwrapped it. It does not interfere with the function, but I imagine it wont be waterproof. SO-I have ordered ANOTHER pair of these lights, which should be the end of my lighting nightmare.

The design of the lights is very good. CELIS light tubes perform tail light and side marker functions, and brake/turn functions are performed by LED. I do like these lights better than any other aftermarket LED for the Silverado. I do recommend them, just make sure you order some 2011 GMC tail light wiring harnesses to go with them.

These tail lights are (in my opinion) actually designed for the GMC Pickup (top two lamps are stop/tail/turn and the bottom lamp is backup). The factory Chevy tail lamps and wiring harnesses have the backup lamp in the middle socket so the factory harness needs to be modified (cut, splice, extend) to allow all three bulb sockets to be properly installed in these Hella lamps.
One easy (but a little pricey) fix is to purchase the tail lamp wiring harness for the GMC pickup (GM PN's 15824512 and 15824513 for about $65 from gmpartsgiant.com). These allowed me to keep the stock Chevy configuration if I need to return it to stock. The tail lamp harnesses simply unplug under the rear of the bed and the bulb harnes locations are correct.
It would have been nice if Hella to noticed this obvious difference and/or mention it in the far-to-simplified installation instructions. Details like exactly where to mount the tranformer would help too.
Otherwise these are great lights that fit very well and look great. A simple addtion to the install intructions and a wiring harness adapter/extender for Chevy installations would make these lights a 10.

Led's only come on for stop and turn. when park lights are on thr lines in the light are on .everything seals up nice. 100 bucks cheaper than anywhere else.... SWEEEET!!
