I have of habit of upgrading OEM parts with performance parts, whether they are tires, brakes, filters, etc. I'm not as interested in longevity as performance. These bulbs perform very well on the dark country roads were I live. The high beams are much brighter than OEM. Low beams have a slight pink/purple tint, but I prefer this to the cooler bright blue bulbs.
I bought these bulbs for my 2000 4Runner to enhance the light quality from the aged OE bulbs. The light output is great, however, it really comes down to personal preference on the color of the bulbs. Unfortunately they shine in the housing an unnatural purple. I gave it a fair review based on the quality of the product. It is PIAA, so it does perform. Unless you want to look like you're from any of the fast and furious movies, do NOT buy these bulbs. They are ridiculous.
