installed the eibach pro kit and the KYB agx adjustable I bought at Tirerack. I dont know if the springs and shocks where a bad set up or they just don t know, the Vr6 is a heavy motor. the front kept hitting hard to the ground and the back on the most soft setting felt like the back was falling apart. then I installed street line coil overs and it stopped the front from hitting but the back still feels really hard in the city. I think after experiencing 3 suspensions (the other on my 2.0 jetta) I would say go with HR racing springs and Bilsteins Sport racing struts or Bilstein coil overs. dont waste as much money as I have. -- Review submitted: 2013-11-03

well balanced setup for street driving, highway commuting, and sporting drives in the county. Soaks up bumps well, does NOT bounce when hitting dips, and still manages to maintain a comfortable ride. The ride is much firmer than stock and there is some extra vibration transmitted into the chassis and rear view mirror. This makes the ride "busier" but my wife actually likes the feeling better than the stock suspension. Cornering is much better than stock. No drama in any sort of transition, very predictable. A worthwhile and inexpensive upgrade. -- Review submitted: 2013-08-24

Koni FSD dampers, Eibach Pro Springs, and Eibach rear alignment kit were all purchased from Tirerack. Additional suspension/stability mods on the car are stiffened rear motor mount and adjustable rear anti-roll bar. I was not concerned about lowering height, but the very mild drop is pleasant and subtle. The suspension now exceeds the limits of the tires on the car by a wide margin (Conti DWS). The ride is now quite firm and the rear is now more active (attributed to sway bar mostly). The rear alignment was set back to stock settings. This was purchased as a replacement for stock suspension with 80K+ miles on it. Handling is much improved, but for me it is a significant trade-off vs. ride comfort. Do not expect the comfort of a VW GTI with this setup. Torque steer is very mild since the motor is an aggressively-tuned stock turbo plus bolt-ons. I would recommend this as a performance upgrade to replace the stock suspension if ride comfort sacrifice is required to a lesser extent. Most importantly, it is still an acceptable daily driver for me. It is more comfortable than a 2006 Porsche Cayman S, for instance. -- Review submitted: 2013-07-28

I ve had this kit on my car now for about one month but put plenty of miles on it so far. It lowered my car the exact amount I was looking for. Enough to improve cornering but not a huge sacrifice in ride quality. Yes, there is a noticeable difference compared to stock, and you will feel bumps in the road more. But the trade-off is well worth it. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking for a mild bump in performance without breaking the bank and losing the ability to drive it everyday. -- Review submitted: 2013-07-25

The only other item I had to research for my application was 2mm spacers because these front struts were made for newer civics with larger knuckles and strut bolts. Another note which is important is that you MUST use lowering springs for these struts. NOT factory. These ARE shorter than stock to accomodate shorter springs. Bilstein is the best in the business in my opinion! -- Review submitted: 2013-07-15

I purchased a set of H&R coilovers years ago from the Tire Rack for my VW Scirocco autocrosser and have reached the age where a bone-jarring ride and razor sharp steering is not the top priority, particularly for my long daily commute. The Mustang was a bit soft as received, and the gap-osis in the rear fender wells was simply unacceptable, especially compared with the average european sport coupe or sedan. The Eibachs are a vast improvement, with the only down side being some additional abruptness over expansion joints at speed. The ride is much more controllable - similar in harshness to my 1998 A4 with factory sport suspension. The car is much more settled in sweeping turns, particularly over expansion joints, which produced an unnerving side-step in sweepers due to the Mustang s solid rear axle configuration. And the car is much less floaty at speed, with a minimal sacrifice in ride quality. Finally, the new stance is aggressively low and level. The 1.2" drop is as advertised, and I would hesitate to want it any lower. Great springs. -- Review submitted: 2013-07-04

I didn t want to "Skateboard" my WRX, I m too old for that. Since one of my original OEM springs were rusted, I had to find something cheaper than the OEM Subaru parts. When I looked at this kit I was worried about lowering the car too much. Well, after the install, It lowered the rear about 1.5 inches and the front about 1 inch. I noticed the lowered feel the first time I drive it, but really it s not that big of deal. I actually LIKE the new look. The biggest surprise was how stiff the car became when going over bumps. Wow, it s differently a rougher ride, but tolerable. I use the car for city driving, rarely more than 30 miles at a time. If this was a long distance car, I probably would want something less harsh (more stock feel). With that being said, the cornering is improved (especially with install new struts). Looking back on when I bought the car new and remembering how the suspension was from the factory, this is better, but at a cost of ride comfort. So, my final verdict, Yes, it was worth the money and I m happy with my purchase. Just keep my observations in mind if your looking for a replacement set of springs . -- Review submitted: 2013-04-02

The KYB AGX rear dampers have 9 or 10 settings and can be tailored nicely for road or track. The KYB AGX front campers have just four settings; firm, extra firm, stupidly firm, and lock-out (100% damping). This might be great for a 100% autocross or track car, but is too much for street use. I could have used two more softer settings. -- Review submitted: 2012-11-15

Added the Kyb tops and kartboy front endlinks (comes with rear end links, get the spacers if using kartboy s for the front). Have the shocks set at "2" front and rear. Haven t tried other settings. Note you have to remove rear seat to adjust rear shocks on sedan. Excellent for fast daily driver. -- Review submitted: 2012-09-03

My driving style is spirited driving on back county curving roads. I recently upgraded to 17" wheel and Continental all season tires and though it improved handeling I wanted more. It didnt look right with a 2.5" gap between fender well and top of the tire. I took a chance on the previous reviews of the Eibach springs and had a Saab dealer install them. It lowered the car to just the right height ( about 1 inch tire to fender). The ride firmed up but is not punishing. You can tell it is a progressive firming spring rate as you drive through corners. I am very satisfied and dont feel I need to make any more changes to my car. It is truly a product that does what it says. Oh and the Saab techs were really impressed with the improved looks and handeling as well. -- Review submitted: 2012-07-04

From Eibach Pro Damper to Koni Street.t, same result... Good ride for 6 months and then the ride starts to deteriorate to riding on the springs at the end with no more than 12000 miles (ridiculuous). Improved on the original handling and suspension greatly (which was already fantastic, just too plush in OEM form). I would also recommend (for the entire E34 chassis class) the 750i front strut rods (bushings installed - OEM parts) with this setup - gives MUCH greater front end rigidity. Car rides fantastic, and the handling will surprise you - even in this hi performance chassis. I also added BMW accessories catalog 17x8" 6 spoke wheels and Pirelli SS tires, and slotted rotors with EBC brake pads and hi-temp fluid. Make sure to check your mirrors before you hit the brakes with this combo - stops like a roller coaster at the station. -- Review submitted: 2012-04-07

My stock Jetta s handling went from lackluster, floaty, bouncey to level, spirited and fun. I was initialy looking to just lower the suspention to get a sportier look but I was pleasantly surprised of how the handling was improved. The ride is only slightly firmer but seems more compliant. Installed Mazdaspeed springs two years ago, there made by Eibach I believe they are the same as the pro-kit spring set. Lowered the car and improved the handling. I was happy with this upgrade.

Installed rear bar last week and the front Eibach anti-roll kit yesterday. The rear made some changes but not as much as the front which has changed my handling a lot. I have read the reviews on this product for a long time on miata.net and finally decided to do the install. What I can t answer was why I didn t do this before. I have only put ~150 miles on the car after the front instal (took for a drive last night,) but it was shocking how well I liked them. Just pulling the car out of the garage and pulling up to the fist stop sign I could tell how more responsive my steering is now. On my NC Mx-5 the steering was already very sharp I didn t know it would/could get this much better. Last nights drive was on a road I have only driven once before and being dark I didn t push it as hard as I could just wishing that the visibility was better the new bars wanted to be tested :-). So far I can t say enough about the change.

If I change my mind I will update my review of this product. ---- Only downside is that the bushings are a little bigger than the original so as recommended I had to trim them to fit properly.

Springs-helped with body roll, lowered my car a little, better handling, little bit stiffer ride. Recommend

Sway bars-better steering response, a lot less body roll, little stiffer ride. Recommend, will never own a car with stock sway bars again. Wow, just wow, what a difference. -- Review submitted: 2011-03-22

I actually have a Ford Racing strut support installed with these. They lowered the car about 1.5" all the way around. Makes the car look much better. I''ve got slightly oversized tires (255-45-17 vs. the stock 245-45-17 s) and never a rub or problem even with my rear 1" spacers on the back wheels. Much better dive resistance on hard braking. Great handling responsiveness, and I didn''t notice any degradation in the ride. Extremely pleased with this product! -- Review submitted: 2010-03-21

Installed the Eibach Pro-Kit springs along with the Eibach Sway Bar set in January. Initial lowering wasn''t up to my personal standards (thought about getting the Sportline), but after the car racked up a few hundered miles, the stance settled in perfect. Car feels like its on rails, particularly due to the setting on the sway bars (track setting). Car lost vitually all the dip/dive it had on stock set up. Ride quality is stiff, but not unbearable (attributed to the 45-series Bridgestone Potenzas). This is also my second vehicle with this setup (2007 Ford Fusion with Eibach Pro-Kit). Just purchased a 2nd Genesis Coupe 3.8 and will install the exact setup this week. Great product and highly recommend to anyone who wants a more aggressive ride. As for the gentleman who rated the kit a 4 on his Porsche 911, the undrivable result more than likely is not due to the springs. It''s due to the combination of the spring rate, OEM sway bar stiffness, and the OEM shock rate. The 911 will not respond well without upgrading the sway bars to compensate for the increased spring rate. This is due to the rear-engine, rear-drive setup of the car. I own a 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera that I use for auto-crossing. All 911 owners should know that its handling characteristics are different from most sports cars today. I have a Koni/H&R shock/spring setup with RUF-tuned sway bars. Once the bars were installed, the off-throttle oversteer was nearly gone, as well as the on-throttle understeer. -- Review submitted: 2010-03-07

Initially installed the eibach pro kit springs with the stock shocks which lowered the car and gave it a nice stance but the ride felt too "soft and floaty". This was probably because my original shocks soon blew out after installing the springs so I decided to shop for replacement struts and shocks. I''ve had matched Koni yellow adjustables shocks and springs in the past on a VW Scirocco which handled great but the ride was very stiff even on the softest setting. I didn''t want to sacrifice ride comfort for handling this time though. I was hesitant to go with Bilstein sports at first because I''ve read on several online forums that they typically rode harsher than Koni. But, after reading Tire Rack''s review of Bilstein-Eibach combo,I decided to give the Bilstein sports a try.

What a difference it made! I didn''t realize how much the ride had deteriorated. The Tire Rack review was quite accurate and very helpful for me. My new setup feels only 10% to 20% stiffer than stock from what I can remember. Overall road feel is fantastic and bumps are absorbed really well. The car is my daily driver and feels like it was new again but with a little better handling this time, and a ride that is not very harsh at all. I''m very happy with the Bilsteins and should have done this a long time ago. -- Review submitted: 2010-02-15

the KYB AGXs are pretty descent struts for the price you shell out. combined with lowering springs and front and rear strut bars, there''s improvement in the car''s handling. I have the fronts set at 3 and the rears fixed at 6 and this setting gives the car the balance in twisty and straights, highway and city. this is a daily driven car and I get compliments on how good the car handles... and by the way, I''m using stock 13inch steelies with michelin tires. -- Review submitted: 2010-02-03

I originally installed H&R springs on my 2005 Carrera 2. I have 19" wheels/tires and the stock suspension and I''ve kept the stock shocks. The H&R springs were absolutely unbearable in terms of ride quality. I replaced the H&Rs with Eibachs which lowered the car 25mm vs. 30mm for the H&R s. Ride is slightly better but still unacceptable, the car is almost un-usable for daily driving. Here s a point of reference so that my comments can be taken in context. My other cars are a Ferrari F355 with the stock, an Alfa Romeo 164S with B&G lowering springs and Koni adjustables and a BMW with H&R springs and Bilstein shocks. The other cars ride firmly but completely acceptably. In comparison, the Porsche is almost un-usable! -- Review submitted: 2010-01-03

I drive a 1999 SAAB 93 around everyday to work, to other states, to the grocery store. I like a car that can corner. My SAAB was not that car. I added a thicker rear anti-sway bar 22", and Eibach (front & rear) Springs 1.4" lower, and Bilstein Sport Shocks. The car feels so different it is incredible. I was beginning to give up on front wheel drive. I was one signature away from buying a BMW the week before these arrived, but I decided to keep my car and try a few suspension upgrades. Boy I am glad I did. The car scoots around corners like a go-kart. The steering feel has changed somehow. It''s heavier and easier. Now the limiting factor is tires. I am completely happy with the way the spring rate, lowering (although I almost want lower another .5-1 inch), and the dampening is perfect. I would compare these dampeners to something in a wrx sti or maybe a honda civic si. But, when you keep the stock 15" wheels and big cushy Toyo Versado luxury touring tires, this thing doesn''t give as stiff of a ride. And, the traction isn''t as good either. However, when it comes to wipping down back roads in windy new england, the saab has transformed from a nausea-inducing arm sore into a confidence-inspiring whip. This is a moderate modification, that keeps the original intent of the car for a person who likes to drive there everyday car hard. A gentleman''s car that is comfortable, sporting, and driven everyday. -- Review submitted: 2009-11-30

Do not use Koni Yellows on an Acura RSX with Eibach springs! They are too soft and will cause the Konis to fail as they did on my car. This is as much Konis fault as it is Eibachs. You need to use a stiffer, linear rate spring. Better yet, use the stock springs it is a perfect combo if you can live with the wheel gap. Handling and ride were great with the Eibachs, they just didn''t last beyond 7 months. Also, do not use coilovers on an 05-06 RSX, they don''t have the inverse wound spring on the right front and it will screw up the steering. All coilovers for the RSX are essentially designed for the 02-04s. They will "fit" all years but beware the steering on the later cars. -- Review submitted: 2009-11-18

Had to purchse 2 sets of Eibach springs because they keep sagging within 6 months time. Add the pain of having to replace struts and a few tires when the springs sagged (one goes, so do all other components). All work, alignment, and labor were done by legitimate installation shops. I contacted Eibach about their "Lifetime Warrarnty" and they claimed my springs must not have been installed correctly and not valid for replacement. I''ve since gone back to the Stock springs. I still trying to sort all this out. SAVE YOUR MONEY! -- Review submitted: 2009-11-09

You would think 1.2"/1.0" drop would not make a difference. It does! As far as looks, it removes the "gap" signifigantly. Front gap is almost entirely eliminated. It s not too low so my car hits bottom. My driveway is the old style with the rounded curve at its entrance. My car doesn t hit, but I do have to approach it at an angle- one tire at a time. Ride quality- I have the Si model so it already rides rough. With the Eibach Pro s, I immediately noticed the car goes over the bumps in the road a little softer. These springs actually improved my ride quality! So far no roll or dipping on stops and turns. I ve yet to test it at higher speeds and maybe a mountain road. Update coming. -- Review submitted: 2009-09-03

I wanted a slightly lowered stance while retaining a near stock comfort ride quality and that is exactly what I got. The progressive rate on these springs sometimes even feel softer than stock when going over bumps but then feels firmer with reduced body lean on turns. I was a little concerned at first that maybe it didn''t lower the car enough but after some time, it settled down to the amount that was specified. For those that want a really slammed look, these are not the springs to get. I just wanted something that reduced the wheel well gap. I also didn''t want my car so low that I had to slow down for bumps or have to approach driveways at an angle. I have no worries about that with these springs. Overall I''m very happy having the Eibachs on my daily driver! -- Review submitted: 2009-08-18

The upgrade over the OEM (stock) suspension is greatly appreciated. The car drove pretty well before, but the driving experience is far better now. The slightly lower and higher-rate springs do a great job of reducing roll, dive, and squat, which means a maximized contact patch with the road. The real magic, however, is with the FSD dampers.

The Koni FSDs are perhaps the best compromise between performance and every-day comfort. They reduce/eliminate rebound and keep the tires glued to the road nearly as well as Koni Yellows on the firmer settings, yet soak up the small, high-frequency bumps enough that the ride is very comfortable for every-day commuting.

Anyone who is looking for the best performance "street" dampeners on the market should look no further than the FSDs. I cannot recommend them enough. -- Review submitted: 2009-07-31

100% better than expected, exceeded all of my expectations. The amount of drop that I got after installing the Pro-System Kit was absolutely perfect. My Charger sits level and low. Looks great, the ride quality is unbeleivable. I''ve had many lowered cars and this pro system kit is by far the smoothest ride. The responsiveness on corners is tight and the responsiveness over bumps is very quick but not harsh at all.

You will not find a lower price on this kit anywhere else. Trust me, I spent over a week checking out other websites and distributors and no one came close to the deal that Tire Rack was offering. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend both this product and Tire Rack. -- Review submitted: 2009-06-08

The first couple thousand Miles on these springs were very stiff, almost uncomfortable. Now that they''ve settled out, the ride seems a lot better. Either it''s improved, or I''ve gotten used to it. Car is a lot more balanced around corners. I have older monroe struts up front, which sit pretty high so the lowering up front isn''t that great, but it''s ok. First few thousand miles I wasn''t very happy with these, but after they ve settled out, they ride much better. I do a lot of highway driving, and the Michigan roads are terrible, still a little firmer than stock, but glad I got them. For the 850, I would recommend the new IPD springs that offer a much better drop and similar ride characteristics. Still, for a conservative drop and good ride quality, these Eibachs are nice springs. -- Review submitted: 2009-04-18

Ride is nice on the highway maybe better than the stock coils. On some rough roads, you can get a bit more road feedback and it can be worst than stock but the handling is great. The lowering is nice in that it is not extreme but improves the wheel gap and looks. If you want to slam the car then this kit is not for you. So with the stock shocks, this kit is nice but with an upgraded performance shock, you could even improve the rough road feel. I don''t mind the feedback but on long trips or if you don''t want the road feel than this kit may not be for you. -- Review submitted: 2009-02-20

The 1.1" drop all around seriously changes the look of my 19" setup for the better. The lowered stance matches with the theme of this luxury sport sedan without making it look too much like a Civic rocket. Plus, the overall ride quality is very similar to before with stock springs. I can feel the bumps on the roads more than before, which is expected with a 19" setup. All generation IV Taurus use the same suspension as the gen III. The Eibach/KYB combo was exactly what my tired 02 needed. Not too low, but enough drop to fill the wheel wells a little more. The ride is much firmer and took a little getting used to, but I was riding around on worn out springs and struts. I also installed new sway bar links, ball joints and tie rod ends when I received my order from TireRack. The Taurus handles like a european sedan now. I added the Eibach Anti-Roll Kit to my 2007 Escalade months after I had already added the springs, and did not think the bars would have much impact on the handling and stability. I was completely wrong! The Anti-Roll Kit is absolutely worth it, and is required for this truck as it added a significant stability to cornering, off-ramps, and general stability for normal highway driving. I highly recommend this product for people who have the Eibach spring kit, but still think their truck is too unstable and jumpy on the highway and off-ramps. -- Review submitted: 2008-07-12

I purchased the Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set and the Bilstein HD shocks since our Honda CR-V was way overdue for new shocks and I was tired of that marshmallow SUV suspension. I have mixed feelings about the new setup...

Pros: Body roll has been substantially reduced, cornering is much improved and the overall responsiveness is a lot better. I probably should get an after market anti-rollbar for the full effect, but the handling is close to perfect.

Cons: First, let me explain I owned a 2004 Subaru WRX and currently also have a 2005 BMW 330xi so I m used to suspension on the firm side. The Eibach springs are just too firm at sub highway speeds. I take a lot of secondary roads to work, not traveling above 50mph, and uneven roads, cracks, patches in the road are felt pretty bad. You are bounced around to the point where you drive looking to avoid any uneven patches. I even had the installation checked by another dealer, but they found nothing amiss. One other con, the body was not lowered very much - an inch at the most.

Conclusion: Would I buy the springs again? If I drove the Honda mostly on highways, I would say yes, but for what I use the car for right now, I would have to say no. I m still debating whether I should sell them on eBay and go back to the stock springs or spend more money on H&R springs. -- Review submitted: 2008-06-07

Before installing the kit, on exit/entrance ramps, I could push pretty hard, but once the SP9000s lost grip (in the front always), the car would plow (understeer) until significant speed had been shaved, allowing the fronts to hook up again. Now, with the kit installed, not only is the ride more comfortable in every aspect, but my Passat now corners flat; when there s traction loss (at now much higher speeds), it feels like every tire loses grip equally (at least front to back), and i can play on the limit of my traction. Push a little much - slide a little - perfectly sideways - take a smidge off the gas and keep the wheel pointed where you want to go - and BAM - you re there. This suspension kit really inspires confidence.

The best way i can describe the difference in ride is this. The old suspension was soft - always. You turned - it leaned appropriately - like a normal car. With the FSD Pro-kit, the harder you turn, the harder it holds the car. It feels much more natural - like the way you would react if you were a car - while steadily cruising you re relaxed and silky smooth, but if you get pushed - you instinctively push back.

The only gripe I can muster is that the kit could be available for more vehicles.

P.S.

my car is also equipped with a 5spd manual, Dunlop SP9000s, no leather, no sunroof, and i have yet to drive any car costing twice as much that I would ever consider as a replacement for my Passat. This kit is that good. -- Review submitted: 2007-12-13

I have been riding on this suspension for the last 44 THOUSAND miles! and it still performs asgood as the day I put it on. The springs and struts were a snap to put on only took about 2 and a half hours. But the front anti-roll bar was a b**ch!! It took 2 hours by it self and was just short of dropping the engine out of the car! It was well worth it and handling for a daily driver is second to none. Handling comfort is a perfect balance. The cornering is so stiff that in a hard corner on the brakes it lifts the inside rear tire. That makes for a really sweet pic! -- Review submitted: 2007-11-19

The springs for the truck are awesome and give it the look I want it. Yet the ride quality is not good and bounces a lot from the front only. This is because I have air suspension on the rear and able to adjust the ride height and ride quality.I bottomed out the factory shock and it does not obsorbe any shock when going over bumps. By this I mean the shock is practicaly compressed all the way giving in to room to compress anymore. The Accord is a really soft car with a lot of slop in the suspension but these springs helped it out a lot. Alignment was fine too without any camber kit. Since I have a DX model it has no rear sway bar, but I will soon be installing a 20mm bar from an Acura TL TypeS which is a direct fit and it will be even better! After that, some better tires and maybe 15 or 16 inch rims instead of the 14s. -- Review submitted: 2007-10-01

Installed shocks and axle dampers in rear. Front gr2 struts and Eibach pro kit springs and Eibach anti roll kit. Mustang has 330hp at the wheels, and launches are easier to control. Squat has been reduced as well as nose dives. At high speeds the car comes to life, i can actually accelerate earlier in a turn. This was a great enhancement on a great car. If you are going to do anything to suspension do all components, springs and shocks together. -- Review submitted: 2007-09-29

First of all I d just like to say that I am more of an Fast and Agressive Driver than spirited.

But anyways

I got this for my jetta because for the price the TireRack offered it seemed like a steal. I have to say I m very impressed. Parking next to another Jetta MK5, you can cleary see the difference in ride hieght.

Also before buying this kit I didn t plan on seeing too much of a change in handling and stiffness around tight backroads given that it was a german car. But man, the difference in very noticeable when driving on backroads and weaving in and out of traffic.

Definately a good buy for the price. I m in the process of installing the Antil Roll kit, new tires as well as some other modifications and I will keep you updated on the situation -- Review submitted: 2007-09-10

After installing the Eibach Springs and KYB GR-2 struts and shocks, the ride quality went down drastically. Every crack and bump you can feel but you do get the control you would be looking for with them. I got about 15,000 - 20,000 miles on the car and I just noticed the passenger side strut is leaking gas now. I would think they should last longer than that but they obviously did not. If you are looking to use this combination, know the quality of the ride will diminish but you do corner very well. Also, they wont last long if you are driving on a lot of roads that need repairing. I also did push the driver side shock through the shock mount after about 4,000 miles. After replacing and sitting for awhile it pushed through the wheel well and made a hole about 3" x 5", where the wheel well did not look to be rusted much at all. All in all they are a good fit for the car but know what will come of the combination. -- Review submitted: 2007-09-01

I agonized back and forth between the coilove vs. springs decision but in the end decided to go with the Pro-Kit as I wanted to get my use of the stock shocks and for the price figured I give just springs a try. I am 100% satisfied with the classy drop and the improved handling with no penalty to the ride quality as it still rides like stock. This is probabaly the most suble drop you can do and therefore the stock dampers should still last quite a while. First off. Yes you do need a rear camber kit. i went with the Pro Kit as Eibach said you did not need one. If i would of known i needed the kit. I would of got the sport-line kit instead.

Other then that I love it. The ride is unbelievable, but not knock you fillings loose firm. If you going to by this. be aware you need the camber kit and since you know that. Maybe you will go with the 1.7" drop instead of the 1". Next on my list is the Eibach Swaybars..... -- Review submitted: 2007-06-26

This springs are an outstanding investment if you re looking to lower your car and improve handling w/o breaking the bank or your back. Before installing these springs, the car had a tendency to float thru high speed sweepers and body roll was an issue, especially in quick transitions. Now, after the installation, the car takes a set much more quickly and solidly, and maintains this feel throughout the corner. In addition, ride quality has become slightly more firm, w/o becoming harsh or jarring. Finally, these Altima s always looked like they had an extra 150 pounds in the trunk, but now my car sits much more level and the tire/fender gaps have been reduced. Living in WV, I will have to be careful to not drag my exhaust, but it s definately a tradeoff that is well worth the price. I d recommend this upgrade to any Altima owner. -- Review submitted: 2007-06-09

I was a touch concerned about how the eibach suspension would look on my new beetle after reading that on a jetta the back sat lower then the front, but that wasn t the case. On the new beetle the front sets a touch lower but it was that way stock. Just more noticable once lowered with these springs. Overall it looks great. Really cleaned up the wheelwells that had just too much space for a sport look. The performance is incredible. The car was never bad unless you really tried to hammer a corner. It s at the deep point in the corner that the car dips and leans. Now it stays almost level. You have to push it right to the limit to get any lean out of the suspension. I m guessing this is due to the new front AND rear anti-roll bars. The coils and shocks are not too tight. I was also afraid the ride quality would drop and I would hear my wife complain about it but you can barely tell the difference over stock. The progressive coils really help make this possible. Now I have a new beetle with custom lights, tires and a sport looking ride. If you want to drastically improve the abilities without giving up a grocery story runner then the eibach-pro kit is a great way to go. -- Review submitted: 2007-06-03

The Konis & Eibachs are great on the track for helping very smooth drivers to corner faster. If the driver s inputs are even slightly jerky as he makes braking, acceleration, gearshifting and steering transitions, it will be more than offset the advantage of the suspension improvements.

These mods made my camber just a little more negative, as expected. My tire wear has been reasonable without camber adjusters, and I like the slight additional camber on the track. I am postponing the decision about getting adjusters until I have more experience with the present setup.

I am very pleased that the lowering was exactly one inch all around. That is well within the max recommended for handling, and it allows enough room for +1 tire clearance. I did have to remove the trim from the rear tire wells for +1 tire clearance in one extreme corner, but on most tracks that would not have been necessary.

The Appearance of the car was improved in a major way. The car basically feels more connected to the ground in cornering. The ride quality is approximately the same as before. First I put the Eibach pro kit on, and the ride was smoother than stock, but when you turn in theres less sway than with the stock springs. I was happy with that for about a year, then I installed the Eibach anti-roll kit. That made a big difference in cornering speed, I have this off ramp that I take sometimes at high speed, 110+ its on rails. Then I installed Koni FSD damper set, the first 3 or 4 weeks it was a little stiff until they broke-in. Now it rides better than ever, what can I say, my mazda3 is hooked-up! I purchase the strut mounts manufactured by KYB for new KYB struts the I purchased at another company. If you plan on changing out your struts use the factory, mount, upper & lower seat, thrust bearing and any other strut components that come with your factory ride. The mount that I ordered and used does not fit properly with the factory and after market components, I have had to make adjustments and build some washers to make the KYB mount work. If you are not a highly motivated gear head who wants to do this, order the factory accessories. Some of the errors will not show up until unit is on ride fully installed. Even if you have your local garage do it, they may not want to take it apart to make the adjustments or you could pay dearly for the extra work. -- Review submitted: 2007-02-18

Component does tighten up the ride and lower the ride. Did not expect it to be a smooth ride so I did not give high marks for this...but its a given. For sure when they say you should have adustable shocks they mean it. Without adjustables you will have wasted your hard earned dollars and the ride will eventually lead you to change the springs out. I purchased the new AGX adjustables from a different company because they did not offer them here. I did have to wait until after the new year to get them. The adjustable strut and spring work well together. Be sure you want the stiff ride if you are thinking about buying the springs. Without adjustables your ride will porpose terribly depending on how much weight you are carrying. -- Review submitted: 2007-02-18

I had installed all of the other suspension componants before I purchaced the AGX shocks, so I was able to tell the huge difference that they made. These aren t just for the import guys! My car weighs in at 3700lbs. so throwing it into a turn produces a lot of weight transfer. I have almost zero dive into the turns now. I bought the KYB GR-2 shocks and struts on all fours against many BMW enthusiast naysayers who kept preaching the word about Bilstein and Koni shocks. When asked what were the negative points against KYB no one could provide an answer except for the obligatory you get what you pay for answer.

Well I did my research of other people s opinion in different makes and I found significant positive feedback so I made the choice to go with KYB GR-2 and EiBach.

To my surprise the ride quality and handling is above and beyond stock. The Eibach springs lowered my car to an agressive stance without making the ride harsh AT ALL. Switching lanes on the highway no longer feels like a boat bearing to the side while turning.

I bought the shocks and Eibach springs with KYB strut boots. The KYB strut boots come with bump stops in the box. Get them if you are going to replace your shocks/struts. Make sure you trim the included bump stops to the length that is layed out in the documentation that comes with the Eibach springs and you ll be happy.

The KYB and Eibach combo is a 10 out of 10 if you ask me. -- Review submitted: 2006-10-31

Using the Pro-Kit springs with OE struts is not a good idea. My 04 VW GTI s suspension was not able to contend with the 1.2-1.5 inch drop at all. The suspension crashes hard over small to medium size bumps on the freeway and bounces and sways over udulations. Speedbumps taken carefully (<1mph) will still give you a good hard thump once you come down the other side of it. I would not purchase these springs without also purchasing new dampers as well. The good cornering was not a decent trade off for such hard and actually unsafe feeling ride. -- Review submitted: 2006-09-11

I wanted to try something different so i went with Eibach and Bilstein Sport shocks. At first the ride seemed harsh but i live in Honolulu where the roads are a disgrace. By 5-6k miles the car had settled in well. The ride is very sporty and controlled but never harsh. the Bilstein shocks increased the drop slightly so its about 1.7-1.8 total. Drove my friends 03 330i to compare and i was very surprised. His 330i has the BMW factory sport package which includes 17 s. My accord has to 225/40/18 with Nankang NS II s. Either the 330i is harsher than I expected- more stiff, more bumps intruding into the cabin despite incredible handling, or the Eibach+Bilstein combo is its equal or in spit of the +1 wheel dimension. I ve had the pro-kit springs on the car with stock struts for 75000 miles. The ride is still very good but I can feel the stock struts giving up the ghost on me and I am looking for replacement struts. The KYB GR-2 replacement struts look good and are not priced out of the market. I had a four wheel alignment at 60000 miles and the front end is dead on the money with no alignment kit required. The rear camber alignment is out a bit but not enough to cause wear issues. I rotate my 205/45/17 toyo proxes IV tires mounted on 17" BBS rims every 5000 miles and NO wear issues with these springs installed and NO alignment kits installed. Have Fun!! They are a blast! -- Review submitted: 2006-09-07

A little firmer than stock springs. Ride quality is improved, but that has more to do with the Koni s than the springs. Actually, the Koni s with the OEM springs were better. The problem with the Eibach is that it made look like the rear of the car is lower than the front. That s NOT the case. Just an illusion caused by the gap in the fender wells. Also, not sure why Tire Rack recommend that you do not use the Eibach s with Koni s. I had no problem with this setup. -- Review submitted: 2006-08-11

Great change in the looks dept. It s a nice 1" drop, car doesn t look slammed at all but much more aggressive even with stock wheels. Ride quality is equal to prior to installing pro-kit. Performance is slightly better but the new springs now illustrate the softness of the stock non-sport shocks. Body roll is the same but cornering does feel more controlled and a bit quicker. The car does now have a sportier, lower to the ground feel. I m really glad I made this change but now want shocks and an anti roll kit. This change has now made my good-handling car a very good one but not yet a great handling car. -- Review submitted: 2006-08-11

I was a bit hesitant on getting the pro-kit system from Eibach but I m glad I purchased it for my E46 sport wagon. Ride is better than OEM sport suspension, very well planted and solid. The car sits lower than the stock sport suspension. Using the car to commute to work and with roads here in the NJ/NY areas, the ride is superb and enjoyable.

This is almost exactly what I wanted: moderate lowering with improved cornering and roadholding ability. As expected, road bumps are more punishing, and the rear axle kicks out just as much as before. Cornering is slightly improved, and dive and squat have been reduced over the stock springs. In retrospect I should have gotten new shocks too, but I couldn t justify the extra money. The looks are almost complete; the car just needs 10-11 inch wide rims in the back (or spacers) to bring the rears more flush with the wheel well. -- Review submitted: 2006-06-24

Lowered appearance and overall handling is a big improvement but there is a significant decline in ride quality. I have a very harsh ride with the stock 225-45-17 tires, especially in the front. I m still on the stock tires and struts. Maybe an upgrade in that area will improve things. Wow, I love this kit. Car is so solid and stable, handling is awesome. It really stiffened up the suspension and I like the feel. Also makes the car look great. Just be careful going over speed bumps and going up steep ramps, you ll probably drag your car bottom. Try taking them at an angle. Also use the standard nut and bolt alignment kit, stay away from other much more expensive alignment kits, such as the Steeda one, not worth the money, and the camber adjusters were stamped wrong, causing a huge headache at the alignment shop. -- Review submitted: 2006-06-06

The Konis and Eibachs are excellent, but the improvement over the original equipment is subtle because the original equipment was quite good too.

The drop was uniform, 1 inch all around. The range of adjustment of the Konis is excellent.

Even though I don t drive this car in winter, there was enough corrosion in the lower control arms that the mechanic couldn t remove them without damage. Buying new ones was an unexpected delay and expense.

The kit worked wonders for the RSX Type-S. Before, the body would roll a lot promoting the understeer I would get. Now, the car sits lower, and sticks better to the ground, and hugs the road. The only two problems I found were installation price, and that the springs make a creaking noise upon initial installation, due to settling. I have had these for a year now and am very satisfied with the Pro-kit. The ride is firm and a little jarring, but the trade-off in improved handling is more than worth it. There is a reduction of about half the fender to wheel gap which is just rght. I can drive the car in snow without a concern for buildup or other clearance issues (I live in NH). Although I would have liked it if it was lowered another 1/2 inch better, I am very pleased with the product as it did greatly improve the looks and still rides great. You can make it over the speed bumps with no problems as long as you go fairly slowly over them. If you try to go fast, you ll scrape a muffler - just barely. It handles flatter in the curves and doesn t dive down nearly as much on hard braking like it did with the stock springs. It also seems to hook up better on takeoff and banging through the gears. I did a few hard stops after they installed them to seat them in the doughnuts, and drove it a week before I got it aligned to let them settle out. Much to my amazement, the only thing they had to do was reset the toe-in back to .12 from the .24 it went to when the springs went in. No special parts needed either. Caster and camber were in spec. I like it when a product delivers on its claims, and this one does. I actually got lucky and scored these on ebay at a good price because the guy who bought them originally decided to drop his further with Sportlines. I don t particularly like that look or the ride of springs with that much reduced travel, and I go places where lots of things would scrape if I lowered it that much. The Pro-Kit springs only had a couple thousand miles on them and looked like brand new. The place I got them from put them in for $120. -- Review submitted: 2006-03-05

Got the car lowered, new brake kit and new rims/tires at the same time. I must say that the spring/strut combo is sweet! I have kuhmo 18 s and the lowering of 1.4" is damn near perfect! As most of us know, the Acura CL has a normally "too-soft" ride, that has indeed changed....not too much though, it s definitely stiffer and responds much better. I bought this car new in 97 and it s been pampered all of it s life...with the new suspension/brakes/tire-wheel..it feels like brand new..but sportier. It doesn t even need an alignment kit..according to the shop that did the alignment. Did not need the Ingalls FastCam Bolt Suspension Kit to install the Eibach lowering springs. Friends in the industry recommended Monroe shocks as the best--sourced those elsewhere.

I knew the lowering springs would degrade ride quality, but the tradeoff was worth it. Truck is much more responsive, understeers less in constant-radius corners, and is much more controlled over big undulations. Small impacts come through sharply, but the truck no longer wallows and leans. Brake dive is decreased. Wife doesn t appreciate the increased impact harshness, but I ve grown used to it. Difference in the appearance of the vehicles is subtle, but makes truck look better. In the end it is still a truck, but it is a better truck. -- Review submitted: 2006-01-17

I added the Koni sports after my OEM shocks degraded within 15K miles of adding the pro kit springs. Note that the OEM shocks were not designed to be operated in the lowered state and rebound damping rapidly degraded. This is true of nearly all high pressure gas shocks. The Konis are great and can be tuned to road surfaces. I turn them to full soft for long trips, making for a great ride. Pay extra for the konis, they are worth it. A Camber kit was not needed(front or read) according to alignment specs from the shop. I also have 215/50/17 avon 550 s. The car handles sooo much better than stock, which was really poor. I have the konis set to 1/2 turn(3 turn max) firmness. The steering feedback and precision is great. Steering weighting is very consistent over bumpy roads now(we have alot of road construction in AZ). Grip is excellent, this is the best handling front drive car I have driven. There is so little body roll with the konis set to 1/2 turn, that I have trouble detecting it. Springs and shocks work together, I dont recommend changing just the spings, your OEM shocks will quickly fade, leading to poor ride and handling. I chose not to buy the eibach damper kit as the shocks were not adjustable. Adjustable shocks can be adjusted as the shocks age, retaining the good damper performance over time. -- Review submitted: 2006-01-03

The springs and anti-roll kit definitely improved handling. The ride is a bit stiffer, but not extremely so. I prefer the stiffer ride over the stock ride quality. My only oomplaint is that the front springs lowered slightly unevenly. The front right is about 1.0 cm higher than the rest of the car. It s not very noticable, but considering the springs are supposed to lower by only 1", the difference is substantial. Also, I needed to buy an alignment kit, even though it says that one isn t required.

Overall- much improved performance, good ride quality, and looks better (if you ignore the slight uneven lowering in front). -- Review submitted: 2005-12-02

I had high expectations and they were met by the Eibachs. The Saturn is not a sporty car; I was trying to improve handling as much as possible and this was my choice. Before installing the springs I would have rated the stock set up a 4 or 5 - understanding this is an inexpensive family car and my daily driver is a new A4 which is a 9 stock. My 8 rating is equal to almost a 100% improvement over stock as respects performance with no detectable ride quality deterioration - it is still not nearly as good as the Audi but I didn t expect that. Steering also feels more connected. I expect to feel another 10% improvement when the snows come off and dedicated summer tires are installed in the spring. -- Review submitted: 2005-11-23

KYB Shocks: The shocks seem to be much to firm for the vehicle. They have a very harsh ride and will somtimes cause the front end to "jump" into the air when driving on lumpy surfaces. -- Unsatisfied; I ll probably buy bilsteins next time. -- Review submitted: 2005-11-09

Heads and Tails above stock, GR-2s and Eibach lowering kit are the best money ive ever spent on this car. With 50,000 miles on both i can say that they are good quality and good bang for your buck. Shocks have been bouncy occasionally with bad freeway conditions, but overall responsivness is sufficient for agressive around town and highway driving. Springs lowered ride height to were I wanted it without lots of scraping and bottoming out. The hide is a bit harsh, not the smoothest on bad pavement, but in my mind a good tradoff for the stiffness and lack of body roll in the hard corners. Great Product. -- Review submitted: 2005-08-27

Ford SUVs do not have the tightness or responsiveness in the steering as a GM SUV does. They are floaty and numb, but after installing these springs that all changed. It did a big improvement in handling with out suffering much in ride quality. The stock suspension already was floaty and bounces the new one has a more button down feel with only a small amount of sharp bumps in the ride. I recomend these springs, but however I used these same springs in a Porsche but was not as satisfied. I guess it really depends on the application. -- Review submitted: 2005-08-24

Though my car corners great now, turn-in is much quicker, and there is less squeal at a "spirited" launch, the ride quality has suffered quite a bit. When I first purchased my Pro Kit springs I was so happy. The stance was of great concern so this had to be right. The Eibach stance is simply perfect, but after 9000mi of driving on a variety of road conditions I am in a better position to evaluate these springs. I feel that the stock shocks are not well suited to the Pro kit spring set. I find the ride at times to be somewhat choppy, and I get some bottoming on average dips when driven agressivly. Agressive driving is the reason I purchased these springs and for some odd reason Eibach has chosen not to offer the Pro Damper kit? i truly believe that if their going to make the springs they should also make the damper kit as well. Give me the choice. -- Review submitted: 2005-04-03

My car is a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 ST (not an available selection from drop downs). The Eibach ProKit Sptings are exactly what this car needed. I don t understand why Ford didn t equip this car with the full SVT suspension treatment. The struts and shocks are quoted as the same as the SVT with softer springs, and a heavier rear roll bar. Not exactly right because you can t put the SVT springs on this car, the spring perches must be different on the struts. The Eibachs work great all around. They lower the car and close the gap between tire and fenderwell by half leaving about 1 and a half inches between the two. The cornering is phenominal, very neutral, very confidence inspiring and great fun. Straight line performance is very good, and I find myself driving faster than before because I feel more in control. The progressive nature of the springs provides a reasonably comfortable ride, and over most bumps you won t notice any difference. Deep potholes are a little jarring. No rubbing or other clearance issues, and that was with a full load of passengers. -- Review submitted: 2005-03-29

I definitely recommend getting the Eibach Pro-Damper Set if you purchase the Eibach Pro-kit springs. I ran the stock struts for about 10,000 miles after lowering it but the ride was getting choppy and the struts would bottom out every now and then. Since this car is my daily driver I decided to go for the Pro-Damper set. After installing it the handling came back along with a more aggressive looking stance. I highly recommend this setup and will most likely use it for my next vehicle. -- Review submitted: 2005-03-28

With over 100K miles on the stock suspension, it was time for a replacement. The KYB GR2 struts perform perfectly. I was able to purchace them from Tire Rack for about $100 less than an OEM replacement anywhere in town (or the web for that matter). The Eibach springs are a bit more harsh over heavy bumps than the stock system, but the handling in corners is superb. -- Review submitted: 2005-03-20

I highly suggest that if you install the Eibach Pro-Kit springs on your vehicle, then you should definitely consider completing them with the Eibach Pro-Damper Kit and the Eibach Anti-Roll Kit. Take it from my own experience, your vehicle responses, corners, and handles so much better with those aftermarket parts installed. Depending on where you live, you may want the Eibach Pro-Kit rather than the Eibach Sportline. Your ride looks very sharp, very appealing, and very sweet. The Eibach Pro-Damper absorbs shocks a lot better than your stocks. The Eibach Anti-Roll Kit totally eliminates body roll and excessive swaying when cornering. Your investment is your personal choice. So why not choose the sure thing: Eibach. It s the will to win! -- Review submitted: 2005-02-25

Update to my review of 2004-10-15. After 4000mi adjusted them from medium to softer setting (20 minute job without removal). Ride is much more comfortable for family. Marginal loss of instant steering response but no loss of grip and sweet handling. Most cars are fairly tolerant of softness variation in good quality shocks (see Milliken). My 1991 Honda CRX Si finally fell apart after 350,000 miles. I bought the 2004 Honda civic LX as a low cost high fuel economy alternative but found a huge difference in handling between the two. I am not a "pimp my ride" person but I wanted better handling so I exhaustively researched replacement springs and found I was most comfortable with Eibach s ProKit for my car. Before installation the 2004 civic would understeer and try to go sideways on turns....after spring installation it is a new car! It s not a radical change, however for a daily driver I am extremely pleased. The 2004 civic now stays flat and straight with NO understeer in turns. What a difference! The highway ride tightened up a little and the car has no longer has floating tendencies at 80MPH highway speeds. I haven t had the alignment checked as of yet, but I see no problems and the Eibach application engineer said the 2004 civic shouldn t need an alignment with pro-kit install. So far so good. I ordered the springs from tirerack.com for $223. Pulled the original strut assemblies myself and paid $50 to have a shop swap the springs. This is the best upgrade for the money on this car. Extremely pleased! -- Review submitted: 2004-11-30

Initial reaction to the appearance of the drop from Prokit was that it was MORE than spec - actually it was not. Ride is much more controlled and predictable in city and at speed and the feeling from the wheel is much more immediate and sure. Along with the Pro-System Plus, I also installed urethane control arm bushings. Handling is great, much improved over stock. Body roll is nearly eliminated. The only thing that I can think of that would make this setup better is a lower ride height. -- Review submitted: 2004-11-25

Konis currently on middle setting. May try softer. Combined with 18" wheels and 40 profile tyres I have taken out the is300 s smoothness in average driving but the ride package is still impressive and handles deep bumps with aplomb. Steering more responsive, sits flat and taut through curves and handles tight bends much better. Fairly jumps out of bends from the apex. You can now hear the suspension working at low speed and you will compromise the softness a bit, but you gain brilliant handling and extraordinary grip. The gains are greater than the losses. Highly recommended. -- Review submitted: 2004-10-15

The Eibach Pro-Kit Spring set is a quality item. They lowered my 02 Mustang GT convertible about 1.25" in front, and 1.00" in back. In my opinion, the front lowering is about 0.33" too much for a strictly street Mustang. It gives a noticeable forward rake, which it shouldn t, and is just a little too low in front. Ideal would be a lowering of about 0.75" to 0.875"(max) in front. Spring rates however, seem to be about right for increased control, grip, and cornering "feel", with preservation of good highway ride. I m looking now for front springs to replace the Eibachs which give the desired 0.75" to 0.875" front end lowering. I will keep the Eibachs on the rear, as 1.00" is about right in the rear.

The ride quality is almost the same as the stock springs. However, the handling is has dramatically changed fr the better. Just putting it in siple prepective, without extra effort similar curves can now be taken at 15 miles faster in avarage. Sinice the springs have a variable rate I am sure this number can be even higer at limit.

I am very pleased with this set up.

I was concerned about the ride height and quality prior to the install. I had a local Audi specialty shop install the springs and the car looks and rides great. It s slightly lower than measured (F 1.5, R 1.7) but the top of the wheels are not covered by the body. It s just slightly tighter on the bumps, but more than compliant for comuting. im extremely satisfied with these springs. i chose Eibach becuase of their excellent reputation, and they were the only brand that offered only a 1.2 inch drop, with a 1 inch in the rear. the stance is just gorgeous, with a finger and a half up front, and 2 fingers in the rear (did not settle much other than the 1st day). if your like me and concerned about having huge 17s and 40 series rubber, than dont go grazy and get a 2 inch drop... my other friends with lowriders, when im driving and hit a small pothole or whatever, always cringe thinking it will mean certain grounding out, when nothing happens, except a firm rebound. i enjoy the added firmness and "feeling" i got... the car feels completely different. from grocery getter to go cart. -- Review submitted: 2004-04-21

This was a great performance enhancement for my car. Firmness as well as cornering was greatly improved over stock springs. It did not totally eliminate body roll (due to the lack of rear sway bar, and only stock bar in front), but it was a great "first step" in my handling.

Also, It was not exactly cheap to install them. Expect to pay around 200-350 dollars for installation (unless you do it yourself). Nevertheless, It was well worth the money. I would recommend Eibach for anybody wanting to build up there suspension! Thanks for these great products TireRack :) -- Review submitted: 2004-02-10

Overall, handling and response are very good. The ride is firm, but not a problem except on excessively potholed roads. I get a lot of gasps from other people when I take corners at what I think is a reasonable speed, since they are not used to going nearly so fast. My only complaint is that the pro-kits drop the car evenly at all 4 corners, resulting in the front end looking higher than the rear. This is due to the fact that the wheel wells on the front are cut differently than the rear ones on the Integra, and shouldn''t be a problem for other cars. -- Review submitted: 2003-08-13

If the Saab Viggen would have had the Eibach Springs and Dampers from the Factory then the vehicle would have been very competive with the M3 and S4.

Right now with the Eibach Pro-kit, Eibach Springs, Poly bushings in the front control arms and Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position (225/45/17) tires the Viggen is fantastic. -- Review submitted: 2003-07-17

I have recently purchase a set of Eibach Pro-kit to replace the lowering springs that I already had on my car. Having my vehicle previously lowered by 1.7", the ride quality was terrible so I read on the TIRERACK website that it is not recommended to lower a car more than 1.5". I emmidiatly ordered a set of Eibach Pro-kit and two KYB GR-2 shocks for the front of my car. What a difference! The cornering stability is awsome. The car really holds the road like a race car. To compliment this modification, I already had 4 Kuhmo ECSTA Supra 195/50/15 on my car.

Definitly recommend the Eibach Pro-kit! Confortable ride with super handling and responsivness. Thanks TIRERACK!

With only springs on my car there is much still to be done. Small bumps are absorbed with ease. The stock shocks and struts do not handle larger undulations quite as well as they should. My next upgrade will be the eibach pro damper kit to help cure this small problem. Overall i am quite happy with the eibach springs on my stock shocks and can only imagine the improvements with quality aftermarket shocks. Another note these springs lowered my car quite a bit but in my opinon could be dropped another half inch as many Foci;s have a horrendous gap. -- Review submitted: 2003-06-27

Great product. Living in Houston I can''t compromise ride quality too much because the aggressive driving opportunities are few; Eibach provides a product that gives the car an aggressive look, only minimally affects ride quality, and greatly enhances handling. Overall feedback through the wheel is much improved, the car takes a set much quicker and has much less body roll. -- Review submitted: 2003-04-11

The Eibach Pro-Kit dropped the back roughly 1" but only .5" on the fronts for some reason. The discrepancy could not be rationalized by either Eibach or the performance shop I took my car to (supposed to be a 1" drop all around for the IS300 application). However, the car no longer has the "lifted" look and looks how it SHOULD look from the factory (i.e.- does not look "lowered" but does not have the 4x4 look either). Overall, I have no regrets on the Pro-Kit. It was just what I was looking for.

I also installed the Eibach Anti-Roll kit. The roll has been dramatically reduced. However, I do wish the front bar was a bit stiffer to further reduce roll (still a bit left when making aggressive turns). The ability to adjust the rear sway bar has been great in adjusting over/understeer though. -- Review submitted: 2003-02-24

Performance wise, the car handles 100% better. The ride quality has suffered a great deal with a little too much on the firm side, even with the Koni yellows adjusted all the way soft. Of course, there is no more body roll. The rear springs have sagged very slightly, maybe a quarter inch. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the setup over stock, but now I want to try a coilover setup to get more ride quality back without giving up handling. -- Review submitted: 2003-02-21

excellent combination. eibachs did not require modification of bump stops.

excellent fit. ride quality is less harsh than my stock acura rsx! the car no longer handles like a fat pig on the run for its life. the ride is very

much controlled. it used to be so under damped and softly sprung. now I would characterize it as critically damped (as opposed to over damped) and properly sprung. other passat owners must upgrade the shocks as I did if the springs are upgraded to the eibach pro kit, else under damping would result and the car will bounce up and down (faster than with the stock springs) more times than it should after hitting a bump => less control, less safe, and also annoying to some. the worst effect of the spring/shock change is that some bumps can no longer be taken for granted. but this is not so bad since I am still running on stock 205/55/16 tires, with plans to go to 225/50/16''s once this set is worn. this is the same wall thickness as the stock tires so the ride quality should not be degraded, but I will get more rubber on the road. The only thing I am disappointed in is that I waited this long to install springs. I was amazed when my car was pulled out from the performance garage. At first glance I honestly did not realize it was my car. It has an exceptional stance. The Pro-Kit is perfect. I have 18" wheels with 275/35 in the rear. If you are looking into springs go with the Pro-Kit. The sportslines in my opinion my be over doing it. The pro kit has about a two finger gap in the front.. little over three in the back.. but dont forget.. when you have two people sit inside the back drops a half inch. Pro-Kit all the way. This is just appearance.. i havent had them long enough to determine the performance... but when you put the pedal to the medal the front end doesnt fly up like most GT''s.. it stays level.. its great.. a car lowered turns heads.. dont be shy.. lower your car.. ! you will love it... -- Review submitted: 2002-05-09

The stock suspension for this car is pretty loose in my opinion anyway. any improvement would be noticable. The eibach prokit and dampers have done an incredible job tying down this chassis. The ride is tight but forgiving enough so that the consumer wont have that "kidney brusing" ride to and from work. The only complaint that I could find is that most tech shopd that I have been to have had trouble re-aligning the rear wheels. I have talked with several dozen other owners of this product on "VWVORTEX.COM" and it seems to be common but also apparent on stock setups also. -- Review submitted: 2002-04-01

I first equipped my Honda with the Eibach Pro Kit which significantly reduced body roll during cornering, bounce if there were any gentle bumps, and lowered the fender to wheel gap without looking like a street racer. Next came the KYB GR-2''s that are somewhat firmer than the stock shocks, but not so much as to compromise ride quality.
