I always felt my Abarth looked like a SUV, this kit lowered it to what it looks like it should have been to begin with. The rear is higher to start, so the slightly larger drop in the rear helps level the car. Don t worry about looking "hela-flush", there is still a small gap and the car looks pretty normal (a very cool normal)and I have had no clearance issues to date on driveways or speed bumps. Body roll is reduced somewhat, being progressive rate springs there is still some initial roll(hence the 8 rating on response- initial turn-in didn t really change), but it stops leaning sooner and leans less. Now, the ride, simply awesome. Again, being progressive rate springs, I think the small bumps are better controlled, it actually feels smoother to me over all. Yes, it is firmer, medium to large bumps are harder, but not overly so, but overall, I think the ride improved in comfort. I wish i could post before and after pics, as my side skirts were about 5" off the ground to begin with, now, a more normal 3". I am waiting for a few more miles before checking the alignment, but the car is still tracking straight and doesn t seem to have shifted really at all. I loved the car before, now I love it even more, perfect look, great ride, and even more comfortable. This i not my first car I ve put Eibach s on, won t be my last, they always deliver. -- Review submitted: 2013-08-09

Really like the stance of my Fiat now. Wheel gap is gone and the car sits evenly now (stock Fiat 500 s sit about an inch higher in the rear). Looks great. Ride isn t much different than stock - a little stiffer but not bad at all. Cornering is greatly improved. Glad I had them installed. Super fast delivery from Tirerack. Had them in 3 days. -- Review submitted: 2013-04-12

Simply stated, this product is well worth the money. Lowered my car quite a bit. The ride quality is meah but the added performance makes up for it. New favorite thing to do is hit corners doing 45-60. Love how the car handles now they made a big impact. -- Review submitted: 2012-09-30

I have a 05ST & replaced my FRPP;s springs & dampers w/ Eibach s Sportline system kit. I also have Eibach s sway bar kit. I m very inpressed w/ the performance of this kit. I was looking at coilovers at first & then decided to go w/ Eibach s fixed platform instead. Trevor really helped me out. Felixthecat. -- Review submitted: 2012-06-17

I bought the car and there was an easy six inches between the tire and fender. After installing the springs and struts there is just enough room for my fingers to fit between them. Large bumps hit fairly hard, but not terrible. Under normal driving conditions I can t even tell the difference, but as soon as I dive into a turn and roll on the throttle through the exit I know instantly it was money well spent. -- Review submitted: 2012-03-15

I had an Eibach Prokit on my Passat and it still was very comfortable. Now with the sport kit on my Audi, responsiveness is great and the lowering looks awesome, both front and rear tires are under 1" from the fender.

The anti roll kit improves cornering performance dramatically compared to springs only. The car does not touch the ground more often (e.g. On ramps or speed bumps) as it does with the OEM suspension due to the firm springs. On bad roads you get some more noise and vibration in the car, but That s a trade-off I take.

I had cars lowered with cheaper brands, but never again, they looked good, but the drive was disappointing. For me, either Eibach, H&R or other top shelf brands. Lowering is not (only) about the looks but also for handling. These spring take care of that. Some people might prefer a more comfortable ride, close to the OEM. In that case I would recommend the Pro kit. -- Review submitted: 2011-09-22

Before I installed the Eibach sportline springs, I had Skunk2 sleeved coilovers which are known to be very very stiff and horrible ride quality. I rated these based from stock set and previous Skunk2 sleeved coils.

First impression was the ride quality dramatically improved since I swapped out the Skunk2 s. However, I did sacrafice a bit of responsiveness and cornering stability but it was well worth it. Considering I daily drive my car and it is my commuter, I do not regret the decision made. I have the sportline springs paired with koni yellow struts which make it an excellent ride. Very well improved in every factor over stock set up minus ride quality over steep potholes/bumps. But the performance catergory is well worth the sacrafice of ride quality for much better handling, appearance and fun factor to drive my car. The only con I can think of is that the rear sits lower than the front by about half inch. other than that, I would recommend this product if you re looking to have a streetable car with decent suspension set-up. Otherwise, I would go back and go with a full coilover combo where the spring/strut is matched together from the factory. I am thinking about swapping out to Ground Control sleeved coilovers to angle the ride height as this particular coilover offers great ride quality. Afterall, ground control uses eibach springs ;) -- Review submitted: 2011-06-26

Installed these for the purpose of lowering and improving the handling; the springs, combined with the new KYB OEM-replacement struts, did just that. Handling is increased tenfold, yet the ride is still comfortable. Overall, I would describe it as firm, but not offensive. Cornering attitude is improved, the car is more responsive, and all of the ride motions - in every direction - are nicely muted. For me, this is the perfect compromise between DD ride quality and performance. The car also looks great when lowered, although the front seems to be a just a slight bit higher than the rear, which takes away a bit of aggressiveness. All in all, I am a very satisfied customer. -- Review submitted: 2010-03-22

I bought these springs for my 2005 chevy cobalt LS Sedan because I wanted a much lower stance and a more agressive handling response and this got me just that. I can almost use the top of my car for a seat now instead of leaning on the hood sort of speaking. They were very simple to install and look Great also. I am very pleased and would gladly purchase again. -- Review submitted: 2009-12-04

For a street Mustang these are too low. I had to tuck up my exhaust as much as possible so I wouldn''t scrap and dent my exhaust system on bumps and what not. On a nice mountain road these things are nothing but a dream.... Very predictable with solid/ accurate feedback to driver. With that said if the road wasn''t paved just the other day by the god of driving, then you may notice some fun spoiling drawbacks.....For example you will, at times, have bump steer aka hitting a bump in the road and either loosing traction and turn in ability or hitting a bump and momentarily (until corrected) oversteering into a turn. Case in point... its just no fun. Issue number two (sometimes comes along with the first issue).... bumps can also completely unsettle the chassis. The only way I can describe that is the whole suspension and chassis feels like it doesn''t know what to do.... like the car''s spin has been shaken to its core and it needs just a millisecond or two to recuperate back to dominating that mountain pass.... but away from every so often high performance drawbacks and to issue number three. Which is that I know where every single decent bump and pothole is around here. I can show you where metal shavings off my $400 x-pipe can be found. I have streets that I would prefer to avoid. I''ve had to learn to go about 3 mph over some speed bumps. This shouldn''t be a part of daily driving. It is not intolerable and you will get used to these things but its still a downer on an other wise wonderful car. Unless you drive heavily on track or these springs are for your weekend toy that doesn''t see many ordinary roads I recommend Eibach''s Pro- Kit Spring Set. -- Review submitted: 2009-09-01

I bought my Eibach sportline springs within 1 year of purchasing my 2001 vehicle. Over 150,000 miles later, my right rear broke. That''s how I came up on this website today. Million-mile guarantee maybe not...But 150,000+ miles isn''t bad either. Keep your receipt when purchasing but definitely worth the purchase. I didn''t really care about any handling gains with these springs, though there certainly is some. I just wanted to kill some of the massive fenderwell gap that the Scion xA has. At a 2 inch drop, the SportLines seemed like the best option out there. The Tanabe DF210 are also about 2.0 inches, but they seem to rust very quickly (a very common complaint). The Eibachs, on the other hand, seem much better constructed. I ve used them over the years and never once have I had an issue. That said, the ride quality is actually not to bad...certianly good enough to live with every day (at least on the xA). Plus my car no longer looks like a 4x4!! -- Review submitted: 2009-03-15

Ok ... I originally had the pro-kit installed on my spec-v with koni adjustables!...And the car was a dream! But the moment I wanted a lower stance and better handle!..I chose the sportlines! In the begining it was great but as time and mileage went by the sportlines blew my konis and I installed kyb gr-2 s...The ride is uncomfortable...The moment the car oversees the slight crack on the road..it''s bumpy. I cannot have passengers in the backseat or the car bottoms out and bounced eveywhere(obviously sentras are 4dr)like others have said...the driver is always on a look out for any holes! I must admit the handleing is greatly improved and but the sacrifice of ride quality is great!i reinstalled my pro-kit and am happy! I do not reccommend these springs for daily driving if u live in a holey area...only on track days these springs are awesome! -- Review submitted: 2009-02-02

Have a nice aggressive drop and ride quality that brings out the potential of the car''s handling characteristic. But, they are for hardcore driver who wants a responsive and stiff ride. -- Review submitted: 2009-01-11

I''ve only had the springs for a short time, but already, I''m loving the setup. With the Bilstein HD''s, my car now turns and corners on a dime. The ride is definitely stiffer, since I had a non-sport, but I can''t get over how much better it looks without all the wheelgap. I m planning on front strut tower and maybe larger shoes...perhaps 235''s? Now that would make it complete. -- Review submitted: 2009-01-09

I''m a pretty aggressive driver. I''ve gone through several suspension setups and overall I am very satisfied with the sportline springs. I paired these up with some koni yellow sport shocks and it''s amazing. The response, stance, handling, and ride quality is outstanding. Other springs I have used are too soft, or too stiff. but these were perfect for me. I would recommend if you buy these to also get a sport type shock like the koni yellows or KYB AGX''s are great too! This is by far the best daily driver set up for someone who wants an aggressive response without risking comfort. -- Review submitted: 2008-12-20

Lowered look is the only thing I have good to say about these springs. Worst ride ever, at any speed on any type of road. My 2000 Mustang GT and the Eibach Sportlines work well together. It has good traction and good cornering abilities. The car really should have higher performance shocks and struts to really handle but if that is not in you budget than go ahead with lowering springs like these. My car looks really goood and I do get a lot of complements but you don''t feel so cool when you scrap your new BBK X-pipe on some decent sized speed bumps. Haha. -- Review submitted: 2008-09-07

I bought the Sportline kit to mainly lower my car to give it a meaner look and stance... it already had great handling due to the Bilstein coilovers that came stock.. I autocross rarely but I drive very aggressive on the mountains close to where I live and unlike the stock springs with the decent amount of roll I feel safe and have a strong connection to the road... I am looking forward to buying the Eibach Anti-roll bar kit to take the last little bit of body roll out of the equation... also did the price checking this is the cheapest place to buy... if you have a Miata be prepared to spend 3-4 hours installing. -- Review submitted: 2008-04-29

These springs look great, and the car handles very well, but the ride quality is terrible, and the drop is too low for use on most roads, potholes and speedbumps will become your worst enemy. I installed these springs, and my wife and I promptly drove 25 miles of LA freeway to see friends. She was mad when we got there because of ride quality issues. By the time we got home, she was ready to kill me. Small bumps, big bumps, you feel them all. Cabin noise was greatly increased. The car was 1" lower than advertised. I ordered another set of springs from a different vendor the next day (which I am totally satisfied). If you re over 30 and care about ride at all, the Eibach Sportlines are not for you. -- Review submitted: 2008-03-08

I must say that this was the worst set of springs I have ever driven on. I installed these springs on my SRT4 and while they do improve handling with regard to cornering; they are the WORST riding springs. The car bottoms out everywhere; every time I hit a bump my car bounces to the point where my passengers ask if something is wrong with my car. And then to top it off, my right rear shock seal blew out and now I have to buy another one at the tune of $150. I should ve stayed with the kit I have always purchased in the past, the Eibach Pro-Kit. I will give that kudos because I have had them on 7 other cars with no problems, no bottoming out, and no blown shocks! -- Review submitted: 2008-01-26

The install was quite timely. like most 4-point installs, the first side took and hour, the second side took 20 minutes.I was a little worried about two main things, the ride quality and the drop being to much. The ride quality, however, is incredible, it s better than before. And as for the drop, taking a looped offramp at 79mph and hitting a bump, you re gonna rub some rubber. The car looks so nice squatted down to the ground like that though. Cornering is tighter, response is faster and tighter coming out of sharp turns, the overall handling has improved dramatically.I ve got 18" ICW racing Jets with rubber bands for tires so I also bout a STEEDA camber kit that we didn t have time to install today, but I don t think I ll be needing it. I only gained about a half a degree negative camber on the rear tires, which is no more dangerous than driving on a grooved road. I give this kit a perfect 10.I m very pleased with everything. -- Review submitted: 2007-10-04

I installed the KYB shocks at the same time I installed the Eibach springs, so it is hard to say what part had what effect. The car is much stiffer riding and much harsher on sharp bumps. It isn t unpleasant, but it is VERY different for a non-PHP 300M, rather a soft-riding car from the factory. The car looks much better with the one inch lowering.

One serious complaint is that the KYB s do not really fit the stock shock mounts and it takes a bit of work to stop them from clunking around; this was also the case on my wife s Sebring. I have purchased the KYB shock mounts to finally fix (I hope) the problem, but haven t had them installed yet. -- Review submitted: 2007-09-20

Ride quality is better than with the stock GT springs. Installation was performed professionally at Centerville Automotive in Centerville, Ohio with no complications. Stock struts and shocks were retained. The appearance is excellent. Much improved over stock GT ride heighth. Would definetly recommend to other Mustang GT owners looking for "correct" ride heighth as well as improved handling. -- Review submitted: 2007-07-09

While the car sits lower and is noticably more agressive, I strongly recommend getting the KYB Agx adjustables to go with this setup, Stock struts make the ride quality harsh, Harsh in a bad way its not a sports car ride. if you try turning while hitting a bump the car alost seems to want to take flight.

On the technical side the Cavalier did need an alignment but the overall camber/ caster adjustment was not that far off stock before the adjustment itself, if you like your car a little toe- in don t bother getting the alignment done if you drive a cavalier.

The perfect package would be these mated to the AGX adjustables with great results for that weekend warrior that demands sporty preformance on a budget. -- Review submitted: 2007-05-03

i was very very happy with tirerack s service and the shipping was amazingly fast. the springs are of good quality, and the handling has definitely approved in my 04 vw gti. im dissapointed with the drop though. seems to be at least a half inch less than the 1.9 and 2 inch drop that its supposed to. the installation was a breeze (after i figured out what i was doing.. i was learning as i went)

they should re-calculate the drop before they advertise however..

Sportline + Body Kit = bad news. I recently purchased the sportline springs and have a body kit on my car, and this causes the front bumper to hit the ground on any bump in the road. With stock bumper however, bumper sits perfect, not to low, not to high. Great springs with stock set-up. Go pro kit if exterior styling -- Review submitted: 2007-03-25

The Eibach Sportline Lowering springs are amazing. I have not perchased a set of shocks and struts yet, but already my car has turned into somewhat of a beast.

When i bought my car it was nice, it handled well and took corners faster than my ford taurus, but it wasn t scary . I like to drive on the edge, and wanted a quick fix for my speed needs. So i searched and read reviews for hours over a few days, and finnaly decided on the Eibach Sportlines. I got them in the mail and literally slept with one of the clean red springs. The next morning i went ot my VW mechanic and told him to intall them and to set up the allignment for auto cross. This is roughly more negitive camber up front and a little toe out in the rear, not more than half a degree over the normal settings though. I picked up my car and just looking at it got my heart rate up considerably. It was a full 2 inches down in the front and im assuming the same in the rear although the rear does have a little more wheel gap. I paid and shot off to the freeway onramp i like to frequent. immediately i didn t notice much change in roughness, but did notice a little bit of a nose bounce on little smooth bumps in the road. But then i hit a pot hole and my teeth nearly came out. It was so surprizing that it took me a few seconds to refocus my eyes to what part of the road i was on. This was most disturbing, but i learn to avoid those anyway. So the onramp, i usually take it at 45, before i have to start to skid towards th curb or use my brakes to get back on track. This time, i entered the curve at 60 and then it felt too slow so i gave it gas till i was comfortably sideways. I was DRIFTING! in a front wheel drive! When i slung out the other side of the curve i was aproaching 70mph. This amazed me! i could not beleive how comfortable i felt with it. I was so happy. I still test the car, and have found that adjusting tire pressures can make or break a run on some windy roads.

Over all i am very please with the look, but especially the ride/handling quality. It was all i expected and more. I am concidering perchasing the Koni FSD shocks and struts because it seems they will remedy the pot hole teeth rattling delema and have an advanced patented technology that is respected world wide. -- Review submitted: 2007-03-04

Although they offer a much desired look; for this particular car, these springs are not a good choice. Neither living in the suburbs or downtown, every bump in the road is too much for these to handle. They just simply sit too low and arenít stiff enough for the struts/shocks to have a chance in offering a desirable ride. Cornering is improved but doesnít meet expectations. Especially at higher speeds the car leans more than desired. A camber kit is also necessary for at least the rear as they will ruin your tires quit quickly. -- Review submitted: 2006-10-15

these springs are really stiff! very difficult to install on MR-2 s, but well worth the effort. with my combination of products i have zero body roll. these springs made my car low! talking about getting hi-centered on speed bumps! makes the car s stance look really agressive, the ride is really rough, but they dont call them sport springs for nothing. otherwise a really good product, if you cant afford coil overs! if you dont like a rough ride stick with the pro-kit. it also reduces understeer! -- Review submitted: 2006-08-31

The factory ride height on these cars is plain up goofy. I was running 255/50 r17 on the front 285 40 r17 (bullet 17 by 9 rims) on the back factory ride height and it was sloppy losin traction and leaning in corners. The drop springs really dropped the ol dirty bird by 2 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the back. Lower in the front and heigher in the back then supposed to be. With these springs I changed out the tires for Kumho spt s, 275/40 r17 up front and 285/40 r17 in the back. The ride quality hasn t changed much, no real flop with the drop. These style cars never really road nice to begin with, its not a Caddy but its still classy. It''s about stock ride quality. Around corners there is no lean at all. I banked a corner at 135 that I could never attempt at 75. Very nice stance the car hangs 9 inches off the ground in the front. 4inches on the side and 9.5 in the back. Very Very! Low!!! Overall im very pleased, I was expecting it to ride like a ol'' lumber wagon but its smooth, low and aggresive. I recommend these springs for the 4th gen Camaros and trans am s. As long as you have 17 inch wheels or bigger, you won''t be dissapointed!!! -- Review submitted: 2006-03-15

You will sacrifice some ride quality but it is worth it. It made a hugh difference in cornering stability over the stock Focus suspension. Paired up with some high performance tires, this car handles like a real sports car. The lowering is just perfect. Perhaps too low for some and many people think I should go lower. I get compliments on how good the ride quality is for the system. For $394 from tirerack I couldn t pass up this deal. 10/10 -- Review submitted: 2005-10-04

These springs are phenominal! There s a bit more bumpsteer, but not more than would be expected considering they are lowering springs. With stock shocks, these really woke up the car, minimizing body roll and lowering the COG noticably. They are a little lower than I d hoped for, and they are quite stiff, but that s the kind of ride I prefer- no cushy luxo-ride for me! Well worth the money- thanks Tirerack! I am superbly satisfied with the Eibachs. They came with the car, and even if they had not, I would have bought a set for the car. I ve been in countless Probes GT s and MX-6 LS s with mostly the same setup as myself and the ride and comfort are outstanding. Because the spring is a progressive rate spring, it s a softer ride until you dive into a corner and then it just sticks more the harder you push it. Outstanding. Simply amazing for the price. :) -- Review submitted: 2005-04-07

WOW, hang on to your behind! You might break a bone with this setup! My 1st GSX had a similar setup (Sportline springs and KYB GR2 shocks) and was very impressive. However, I wanted to upgrade to the AGX shocks for the new car. This is a LETHAL combination! I could easily take the car to a track and run great times due to this suspensions ability to run stiff. Go for a drive on a local street with a similar setup and you will find you left your kidneys at the last pothole or road seam. Buy this setup for the track or Auto X - turn it ALL THE WAY DOWN for the street on a 90-94 AWD TSi or GSX. -- Review submitted: 2004-11-23

begin with, you may wish it was even lower, however, one bit of good news is we ve not had

problems with speedbumps, driveways, etc. we were

able to acheive factory alignment with these springs. overall quite happy - good price, product seems well made and well thought out. recommend you get service manual and note that there the front strut nuts are supposed to be replaced

and you are supposed to use a special tool to torque them (they are supposed to be torqued OUT of the car).

I highly recomend the KYB gas shocks on all pasanger cars. what a difference from the oem shock. The sports spring( volkswagon eback replacement) set replacement is stiffer an gives marginally better control without lowering the car over an inch. I like this being the clearence is only 3.9" inches to begin with. in all I am quite sattisfied with the end result of this project. Thanks your service, information and performance is great. I will keep you on my favort list for further buying needs. -- Review submitted: 2003-06-17

Took a couple of hundred miles for the springs to break in. The first 10 miles were interesting. Stiff as a board. The car drives like it''s on rails. It''s just now smoothing out were I would say the spring mods are a good comprimise between aggressive handling and a reasonably comfortable ride. -- Review submitted: 2002-12-19

The ride is good but it did not eliminate the body roll as I thought that it would. Perhaps I need additional suspension upgrade from stock. -- Review submitted: 2002-10-31

I actually purchased my Springs elsewhere, but very pleased with them, it is just that it didn''t lower the front end of the car quite as much as it did the rear. I purchased the shocks through you, TireRack, and am very pleased, couldn''''t have asked for better! Thank you very much, it is greatly appreciated! -- Review submitted: 2002-10-23

I am satisfied with the new springs. The car looks and feels more aggressive, and it handles better too. I guess before the springs the car had about 1,500 mls. -- Review submitted: 2002-08-05

I am impressed with how well the Eibach springs do their job. Though lowered 1.5" in front and 2.0" in the rear, ground clearance is no more of a problem than with stock springs! Probably due to the increased spring rates. Firmness is an excellent compromise between ride quality and handling. These particular springs are a decent match with the stock shocks, at least while the shocks are new. And the location of the wheel-tires within the wheelwell is excellent. -- Review submitted: 2002-04-03

My only disappointment with the setup is the fact that my car was supposed to drop 2.2" in the front and 2.1" in the back. I only dropped 1.5" all the way around. It could also be that my stock shocks/springs were already worn some and sitting the car lower than original stock height. Nonetheless, I am very satisfied with the setup and Tire Rack''s service and quality.

Thank you. -- Review submitted: 2002-03-20
