I had a 2001 E46 coupe that I installed the PSS9 suspension, so when I wanted to upgrade my A3 suspension I immediately thought of the PSS10. I have very fond memories of the PSS9. To mitigate costs, I installed the system myself - quite a cost savings and the job was pretty straight forward. It took me and a friend about 6 hours total. This system transforms the car - cornering speeds are much, much higher and overall handling is much improved. The damping adjustment is an awesome feature although I have only changed the setting once. If you track your car and use it for the street I can see how the adjustment function would be a requirement. So easy to make the adjustment - you can get access to the knob by turning the fronts full lock (no need to remove the tires) and I access the rear by parking on the culd-de-sac curb. I am running 4 on all corners and it is about the same as the stock firmness (the car had the sport option package). We have nice roads where I reside so the firmer ride is good. The height adjustment is really easy to adjust as well. I originally set it too low - scraped on speed bumps and had to be careful even on my own driveway. So, I got the wrench and raised it up - really easy even with no lift to assist. Overall I am a big fan of this set-up and if you want sporty handling with the ability to adjust easily I say the cost is worth it. -- Review submitted: 2013-09-15

Transformed the body roll on the Jetta Wagen. Installed in 20 minutes with a lift. Also installed at the same time were new "max summer" tires on new wheels sized @ 235/45/17. I drove it as stock for 450 miles from new, added the tires and drove maybe ten miles and could feel an improvement and then added the bar. -- Review submitted: 2013-07-02

The H&R anti-sway bar I installed on my 2003 Passat has two firmness settings. I first tried the firmest setting and liked the result except for one very anoying thing. It created a high pitched vibration in the steering wheel at speeds over 50 MPH. Cound not stand the vibration so I switched to the softest setting. That worked very well. The vibration over 50 MPH went away but I still had a significant improvement in roll stiffness. Now for the Koni sport shocks. At higher speeds they work very well and give excellent control of suspension/spring movements. BUT they don t feel as good as I would like in the way they control the suspension movements for a comfortable ride. At lower speeds and over bumpy roads surfaces I find the Koni Sports to give nearly harsh ride quality. I would like to contrast this good news news bad news situation using the Konis on my 2003 Passat Station Wagon with the KYB adjustable struts I had installed on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. KYB has done a much better job than Koni in combining surpurb suspension control with a combination of jounce and rebound control that allows a much more confortable ride quality at lower speeds than do the Konis on my Passat. If KYB offered adjustable struts and shocks for my Passat I would buy them hands down over the Konis. But they don t so I am sticking with the Konis which have the shortcoming of poor ride quality at lower speeds on rough road surfaces. Are you listening KYB (and Koni)? -- Review submitted: 2011-07-11

Installed Eibach Pro-Kit (Springs and Dampers) and there is definitely a night and day difference. Car feels much more planted and stable. Cornering feels so easy at any speed now and inspires much more confidence than stock set-up. Would definitely recommend this set-up. -- Review submitted: 2011-02-10

Awesome performance. Great feel and feedback.

Very supportive without being too harsh for a family daily driver.

Excellent durability, no noticeable degradation after more than 30K miles.

The only negative is the expense but that may well be returned in longevity. -- Review submitted: 2009-11-10

With the H&R race springs, adjustable koni yellows, an the H&R sways the ride wasn''t really that bad, yes it was a little harsh when going over a pot holes but that''s not my fault the city is too cheap to fill them up. The focus is a really good hanlding car compaired to some others (that probley why i oversteered it into a ditch). But other than that the springs are just an awsome set. -- Review submitted: 2009-10-05

WARNING!!! I purchased the H&R (Hotchkis)Sport anti-roll front and rear sway bars. Put them on for first modification for vehicle as I thought it would provide better handling. But nobody told me that putting them on without lowering my car would actually do more bad than good. I had to replace the K-frame. As the sway bars literraly busted the welded bolt on the underside of the drivers side of the K-frame where the sway bar bracket attaches to the frame. I had to replace the sway bar bracket. I would never put these on a vehicle that is not already lowered as there is not enough clearence! I took the sway bars off and the car rides instantly better, I repeat, do not put these on a jetta GLS 1.8t until the vehicle is lowered or it will have a reverse effect and drive shaft will rub on sway bar! the sway bars did their job and they are a good investment. -- Review submitted: 2009-05-29

Buy these bars. H&R quality is worth the price difference, period. The front bar at 36mm is 1mm larger that the FRPP and Eibach plus it is adjustable. The rear bar at 26mm is 2mm larger than the FRPP and Eibach plus the rear links are massive and put the FRPP and Eibach links to shame. This is how the GT500 should have come from the factory. I installed these bars a few weeks after doing FRPP springs and the sways made a huge difference - more so than the springs. It drives great and all the body roll is gone. If you want your car to ride like it was on rails, get these bars. And, for those that say the KR front bar is good know that it is hollow which reduces the ability to prevent roll due to the decrease in weight which makes it less effective than the other bars...You simply save a few pounds. -- Review submitted: 2009-01-24

Overall the H&R Sport kit providers very good handling characteristics over the stock setup. Highly recommended if you are willing to sacrifice smooth ride quality for better performing setup. The stock CLK setup is so bad that car feels unstable, this is your fix. As far of stiffness you will have "lightly" stiffer setup than you find in the CLK AMG model. The sway bars are adjustable to "tight" and "tighter". I found that the "tight" setting is a good compromise between performance and ride quality. Be aware that 2006+ up CLK''s will have different front sway bar brackets which will not fit this kit. You will have to order older brackets from Mercedes! As far as installation goes, remember to take a picture of the sensor that is connected to the front sway bar. This sensor controls the front light and mounting it back on multiple different ways is possible, making your head lights to point way down. -- Review submitted: 2008-12-03

I wanted to continue to have German Technology in My Mercedes Benz. I went and did the installation myself . I worked on the removal and installation approximately 2hrs a night for about 4 nights total . I set the coil height in the middle of what recomended levels were given for front and rear .I set the shocks at the "Softest" setting out of 9 .

Part of this installation was front /rear Sway bars from "HR" The car imediately was lowered about 2" The ride exceeded my expectations in firmness at the weakest level which is considered M/B Standard factor setting . I havent adjusted to any different ride heights or firmer levels which I am more than satisfied with the current . There is no lateral roll , I have control and confidence into turns . Handles better than I imageined .Adjusting seems that you have to Jack up the car to access the front and view it properly , Since the controll is on the lower most vertical part of the shock . The rear are easier accessable but reccomend jacking the car .

On the negative part , An inside electronic controll would have been great . Second the order was back ordered but recieved a courtesey call that it would be 2-3 weeks . The box was in poor condition when it arrived unrelated to TireRack .

Positive note I saved 200.00 Dollars compared to other vendors . Great looks , Workmanship , Reputable company with racing history . IT made me and my Benz Very happy .

I will put the car on track at Pocono Raceway in about a month see what it can do .

Excelent product! Highly reccomend it ! -- Review submitted: 2008-06-21

the 4.2 that I drive was equipped with the sport suspension, I switched to Eibach Pro springs and really liked them, but for the 3-4 Audi track events I do a year, the spring set up was just not enough, so I bought the H&R coilover set up with H&R sway bars. the change was dramatic, turn in is flat and overall control is amazing. Because I was riding on the Eibachs, the new set up really isn t much worse. even my wife likes the drive. what I have noticed is I do get a bit more FIRM bounce over expansion joints on the freeway. other than that i highly suggest this set up on any car, but definetly on the A6 s -- Review submitted: 2007-10-17

Per Stock class rules, I can only add a front bar. It definitely made the car much faster in transitions and slaloms, but took some "pivot" away. put it in right before nationals last year, hurt the first day; all tight 180 s; the second day it helped: all transitions. Quality was excellent, installation was amazingly fast, and didn t interfere with my ride height sensor, although it was close. Make sure to use lock-tight on the factory links... oops.. -- Review submitted: 2007-08-29

My Porsche is now ready to truly compete on the track and is fun as hell on the street. These are great shocks. This is my daily driver that I also Autox. Took me to nationals and back. Just need to figure out how to dial in more rotation in the car with only being able to add a front sway bar! Can t beat the price vs performance of these konis. Plus, when I m ready to go up a class, I can just add springs and dial in more damping later. -- Review submitted: 2007-03-17

For use with R-compound tires and/or autocross or track driving, mount reinforcements are required. Tire Rack did not list them, so I had to buy them elsewhere. Rear bar reinforcements not installed yet, so I ve held off of making the final bar adjustments. It would be nice if Tire Rack could carry the reinforcements - the customer service would be better than the company that provided them! -- Review submitted: 2006-05-01

Everything works very well together. I could use stiffer springs on the track, but H&R does not make their progressive race springs for my car. The ride quality is not "comfortable", but entirely what one should expect from aftermarket pieces like this. -- Review submitted: 2006-04-05

With adding the front adjustable shocks, sway bars and lowering springs the car handled and rode great. So I bought a set of rear Koni adjustable shocks. When I installed them, I set them at the "medium" setting like I had the fronts set at. I didn t make it down the driveway before I took them off. The ride was so stiff it was almost not drivable. So I set them to the "full-soft" setting and it was barely livable. I have taken them off twice, but with the springs the stock shocks are too bouncy, so I m living with the Koni s. The car handles great but 90% of the time your being unnecesarrily jarred. Koni needs to reset the valving on these shocks for street use. -- Review submitted: 2006-01-20

I take the same corners on my commute everyday. I tried to monitor my speed through the corners, to the point of hearing squeaks in the tires, as I installed each new suspension component. First, were the springs, then the strut bar, then the front anti-sway bar, then tires. The springs and the tires make the most different. The strut bar decrease the lean of the car, but doesn t really increase speed in the corners. The anti-sway bar makes the car understeer even more, which I don t like, but add stability and decrease swaying to the car. The springs add about 7mph to my corner speed, but I am sure an experienced driver could squeeze even more out of them. The springs are a bit firm for me, but that is just my personal opinion. The tires add about 10mph to my corner speed. -- Review submitted: 2005-05-24

Previously had Intrax springs and Koni yellows prior to the H&R s. The Intrax/Koni may be a better autoX setup do to the flexibility, but for road racing, open track events and general street use, they just cannot compare to the H&R s. Even though I loved my Intrax/Koni setup, it literally took one lap on the track for them to go on sale and since then, I ve been nothing but thrilled with the H&R s. My only complaint would be that I wish the rear springs were a little stiffer to help with putting the power down while exiting a corner. I ve added the 24 mm H&R rear bar as well, but with a gutted rear end, off-throttle and under-braking oversteer is now a bit of an issue. I ll probably just get some stiffer rear springs and ditch this rear bar.

Either way though, these H&R coilovers are still the standard against all others seem to currently be judged, at least in the Focus world. Very happy with these. -- Review submitted: 2004-05-14

The springs and struts came up to my expectations it transformed the car into a compitant track car. The springs lowered the car more than expected and maybe too much for everyday driving. The shocks have a tendency to bottom out on moderate potholes and road bumps. The ride was firmed up condsiderably, but still not too much for my tastes. I would still recommend this set-up to anyone, but you may need to install spring spacers for the older SE-R''s for everyday road driving. -- Review submitted: 2002-10-11
