These Springs were installed to replace Koni Sport springs that weren t long enough or stiff enough to keep the car ride height adequate to remain off the Bump stops or the geometry tolerable for street driving. A .75 to 1 inch lowered height might have been more usable for this car s particular geometry issues. Back to nearv stock height is the best solution for now. -- Review submitted: 2013-03-31

The pro kit dampers (at least in my case) are softer and slower to rebound than the stock struts. When entering a corner, the car tends to swing wide, instead of tucking in and pulling through (which I realize is also a function of the springs, tires and weight transfer, etc...). When you hit a bump or pothole, the damping just seems a second too slow. The suspension has been refreshed and the only new parts (that aren t new oem parts or the H&R oe shocks are the eibach pro dampers. I will not be purchasing them again.

What a waste of money. The formerly tighter suspension is now reduced to the seeminly wallowing version I tried to get away from. -- Review submitted: 2011-06-04

My original struts were worn out. Since it was time to replace them, I wanted a sportier set-up without the "slammed" look. Also, since the streets fill with water when it rains hard, the last thing I need is to have the car much lower. This combination is a vast improvement- even over the as-new original setup. Cornering is much flatter, wallowing is non-existant, nose-dive and rear-squat have been drastically reduced - all while keeping a decent ride and plently of suspension travel for large bumps/potholes or when the car/trunk is full of people/stuff. Since my Civic is the LX, there is no rear anti-sway bar so I don''t think I''d see the benefit from going lower without making the control arm swap necessary to install a rear sway bar anyway. Overall, I am very pleased with the ride/handling tradeoff this suspension setup provides me for my daily driver. If I was into racing/auto-crossing, then that would be different, but then again, I''d modify a different car if that was the case.... -- Review submitted: 2009-10-07

Gave the right hight to the car. corners beautifully on mid and high speed corners. The car still understeers a bit on low speed corners. Just a bit harder than stock springs. The car looks amazing and the ride quality increased a lot. I highly recommend those springs. -- Review submitted: 2009-09-09

H&R advertises that camber adjusters aren''t necessary with these springs but I did not find that to be the case in my instance. After burning thru 6 tires that wore badly on the inside radius I installed Ingalls front and rear camber adjusters. The improvement has been breathtaking. My 2000 Civic Si always handled merely OK after having swapped out all OEM suspension components (2Xstrut tower bars/poly bushings/rear lower control arms w/tie bar/KYB struts/Russell steel brake lines and the H&R springs)but I never got the love I was hoping for until the camber adjusters. Now the car rides on rails. It rolls better, and having put a couple thousand miles on a new set of Goodrich Sport A/S (went with 205/50-15 instead of 195/55) the car is a whole new animal. Always had more motor than suspension; now that there is more suspension than motor I can get in to what I really want to do....I''m very happy with the springs, but the adjusters were the key to the complete setup. -- Review submitted: 2008-08-11

Living in the pothole ridden northeast, I needed something better than stock that would also give enough clearance for snow. These did the trick. Had springs and shocks installed @ Engines by Benz in E.Prov. before sway bars and braces; squat and roll immediatly became manageable. Actually had to relearn the tires new break-away limits (BFG TA s never SEEMED to rool much before). Also agree with other customers observasions about rear drop; but driving old VW s for so long, one expects front outside lift anyway. Just lift off the gas or tap the brakes, and the nose heavy German pig just rotates slightly and you just hustle back through your line. Scrub the front end of a light weight Civic, and you re reving to play catch up after you catch it. I ve picked at least 5-10mph on the Pawtucket S-Curves: The price of upgrades is worth the looks on the faces of Bimmer and Honda drivers... -- Review submitted: 2007-09-02

The H&R OE Sport Springs helps with front and rear balance of the car - but does nothing in the handling department. The lowering was very mild - very unnoticeable - pretty disappointed. The ride is really firm for a mild drop. This is NOT the springs for a Honda Accord. I should of went with the Eibach Pro-Kit, which gives the car a better appearance and better handling. The ride should be similar to the H&R OE springs even though it s lower. I know that the H&R springs are excellent in terms of their quality, but I have some doubts on their performance aspects. If you want to see a visual and handling difference on your car, go with the Eibach Pro-Kit. -- Review submitted: 2006-11-27

The H&R OE Sport springs with the KYB GR-2 struts are far better than oe setup. For an every day driver, this setup is ideal. The car is not too low or harsh, especially when having 5 people and the trunk full. If you are looking for something far better than factory and in my case did not want to worry about camber kits and an expense alignment, this is the setup for you. I have had the Eibach Pro-Kit with GR-2s on a de Sol. This setup had better handling but was also on a different car, was much lower with a stiffer ride and required camber kits and an expensive no warranty cash up front alignment. Tire Rack had the best price from a reputable company. I also have the GR-2s on a 98 eclipse spyder with factory springs (Mits. oe struts made by KYB) and they are great especially for the price. If your struts are old and you want different springs, change your struts! -- Review submitted: 2006-11-14

The H&R OEM Sport springs (did not require other than oem camber adjustment) and KYB GR2 shocks are a great combination. Just the right amount of lowering. The polyurethane bushing set is a superb tradeoff to the more expensive shock I was considering. Shock take-up is amazing. Even through hard cornering all tires remained firmly tracking the road. The increase in "creaking" created by the beefier setup I hope to correct with a rear shock tower bar and lower arm bar, having already replaced the oem lower control arms w/billet aluminum units. -- Review submitted: 2006-05-12

The KYB-GR2s along with these springs made my car handle better then new. The drop of the springs is not much, but perhaps an inch lower in the front then stock. Ride quality is very good, not harsh at all. Car corners far better then it ever did, even when it was new. I do both city and highway driving, and this is my Wife s car. It was important to her to have a good ride quality without too much harshness. The H&R springs are very well made and came with poly-upper rear spring seat bushings. This car is again fun to drive, no more nose-dives on hard brake applications! The old stock parts were still in "ok" shape (not blown, leaking or damaged), but these new springs and hardware make the car 110% better to drive, and safer as well. -- Review submitted: 2006-05-02

The response from the car has been smooth. Cornering and bumps are quiet. Lowering looks like a "Type-R" stock drop which is perfect for me going on curbs and bumps. This is the perfect springs especially with body lips around your Integra. Tires will still stand balance without having to worry it being butterflied. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a slight "Type-R" drop. It is a 2 inch gap from the tire to the fender with 195/55/15 tires. -- Review submitted: 2006-04-04

I bought these springs because of a broken OE front spring. I could not locate generic replacement springs; this set was far less than the dealer quoted for front springs alone, and I like stiff suspensions. I already have Bilstein struts on the vehicle. The combination thrashes too much on bad roads but is great on most roads. The car holds the road like a go-kart, it is very responsive and fun to drive. My wife finds this suspension too stiff even though she dislikes soft suspensions. The rear of the vehicle appears lower than the front, but this may be a characteristic of this vehicle. HR Tech support was marginal: the instructions suggest cutting the rear bump stop height, but there is no way to cut the OE bump stops without causing problems. -- Review submitted: 2006-04-01

Used the H&R O.E. sports with Bilstein Touring shocks and first impressions are very good. I live in the northeast and the roads can get rough but the ride is a great comprimise between sport and comfort. body roll has been reduced though not eliminated, and nose dive durring braking has been reduced as well. Just what I was looking for! My car is driven year round; steel wheels for the harsh Canadian winters and 18 inchers for the summer. My goal was to give the car a lower ride height but maintain a stock feel. Stock body roll is gone, suspension feels a bit stiffer, no noticable increase in cornering capabilities. Just right if you want to give your car a subtle lowered look. -- Review submitted: 2006-03-24

I have only had limited use of my new suspention, but I just wanted to say my first turn with the new setup I laughed outloud. My 1991 911 handled very well prior to this upgrade but the difference before and after are amazing. Body roll totally limited with the H&R Sport Springs and Koni Sports Struts. I drove in the rain and still my car would not break in a turn, unless I added enough power to "have some fun". The look of my Porsche is now much more modern and aggressive. Excellent suspension upgrade over stock with the H&R springs with the KYB GR-2 Shocks. These together with all stocke rubber bushings replaced with Prothane bushings have made the car handle like a totally different vehicle. More firm than stock but not too bad. Overall ride is good. -- Review submitted: 2004-11-20

This is an awesome spring set for the 1994 and up GS-R owners that want their car to both look and handle better, while retaining a smooth ride.

This set gives you the best of both worlds. My custom wheels are 16x7 with 205/45/16 tires. This combination keeps the family happy when they have to ride with me. -- Review submitted: 2004-09-27

Good right so far, i just hope they hold up!

They make a good combo with H&R s oe sport springs.

Which lowered my ride just 0.75 inch. Looks perfect (not too low) and handles far better than stock equipment. Thought the ride is a tad bumpier, it s well worth it.

Added a lot of firmness and took the roll out of cornering. But the smoothness of the ride was not impacted noticeably - there is no annoyance or harseness to the ride. These H&R OE springs are a great compromise between handling improvement and ride quality. -- Review submitted: 2004-06-08

I chose the H&R sport springs with a 1.4 drop in the front and 1.5 in the rear to compliment my 18x7 rims. I sit on 225 40 18 s and it gives it that slight lower than stock look but not seriously slamed look. i also purchased the eibach camber kit and had there recomebed installer Brooks Speed Garage Installed in a timely manner no complaints here. a slightly more bumpy ride but as for as asthetics and handling a worth trade off. its note anoyinly rough nor harsh on step inclines at moderate speeds. ride quality maybe impoved with aftermarket struts. -- Review submitted: 2004-05-19

I was looking for a little drop, not ricey, just a sleeper look. I was afraid that it would be not noticable, but the drop is nice looking.

Handling is improved, I can corner faster, and the car is not bouncy compared to stock. It is stable now and I am very happy. -- Review submitted: 2004-04-10

The combination of suspension parts (H&R OEM Sport springs, KYB Gas-A-Just struts, plus a front tower support), which lowers the car 3/4" to 1" made a huge difference in handling, firmness, and control; giving the wagon a much better feel for the road and ability to dig into corners with less body roll. There is still plenty of space between the standard size tires and wheel well, which give the car a better overall look yet the car still looks OEM to most people. Gains in firmness and control do create some loss of comfort but the ride is not harsh with the KYB shocks set to the 4 out of 8 on the firmness setting. In hindsight, I probably should have done this suspension work 50k miles earlier. -- Review submitted: 2003-01-03

The H&R OE springs gave me the ride and look I was looking for. It enhanced the overall appearance of the car by giving it a slighty more aggressive look while not sacrificing the ride quality too much. My Honda is an every day car and has plenty of miles, so I did not want something that would roughen the ride to much. Overall, I am very pleased with the price, performance, and customer service of both tirerack and H&R. I would like to buy all of my aftermarket parts from you but some of the vendors I am interested in you do not carry. -- Review submitted: 2002-06-15

Overall the car feels great. Finally I have struts that can handel stiffer lowering springs. No bounce and no fear of large bumps. The car has a snappier feel to it now, very nice. Howewer compaired to other car''s that I''ve driven with factory suspension''s that are tuned to PERFORM, the ride quality on these koni''s pales in comparison. It is possible however that I adjusted the rebound to firmly and need to turn it back a setting. However on my koni''s, I have to remove them from the car to do that, yuck. -- Review submitted: 2002-01-13

While I love the way the springs handle in the corners, and their responsiveness, the shocks are somewhat lacking in performance. Their responsiveness is somewhat muted, and their ride quality suffers from the kidney-punishing syndrome. They are too rough for daily driving, maybe too soft for the application. All in all, though, I am very satisfied with the setup, as compared to stock. Thanks for making me a satisfied customer!
