Good replacement shocks, the only thing I didn t like is the rear dust cover drags over the shock and make noise when the shock goes up and down. For some reason the rear dust covers are plastic and not rubber. -- Review submitted: 2013-01-30

Product is so rusted, that they have to be replaced. I thought I was buying a quality product, but apparently all their claims don t live up to promises. -- Review submitted: 2012-07-12

The kit s life was short. I had to replace it again before even 1 year usage (mileage was 95xx miles). The same thing happened with the other side that I bought from other vendor. Coincidence? I don t think so. With its price around $180/kit (left or right side each), it s expensive. Monroe is priced around $120/kit (again, left or right side each) and now it becomes a much better bargain that KYB. I had thought that KYB was better than Monroe. I guess not anymore. -- Review submitted: 2012-07-11

When I bought my Jeep Cherokee it had 130,000 on it and factory blown shocks. At the time I went to autozone and bought the cheapest Monroe shocks they had ($12 a piece). Those were acceptable for a few years. Being that the majority of my driving is in the city, and Jeeps already have rough rides even when new- I decided to try a slightly higher end shock. The KYB GR-2s @ $37 a piece are simply amazing in comparison. They truck bounces far less, almost no roll anymore, rear end is MUCH more stable. This was probably the best investment in terms of performance and safety I ve made yet. Would highly recommend these shocks! -- Review submitted: 2012-05-25

I didn t get as much ride improvement as I had hoped for. Control of body lean, was much improved. -- Review submitted: 2012-02-12

Having replaced other suspension parts along with the KYBs in order to be up to date with new parts, I was disappointed to find that they bottom out on rough surfaces or irregularities in the the road surface. I have been back to my mechanic to check for other causes for this problem, with nothing found to be wrong. Did not have this problem with the factory units. No more KYB!!! -- Review submitted: 2011-10-29

I installed KYB GR-2 s front & back. They restored my ride to like new.I was afraid they wouldn''t be sporty enough. But I was surprised how they change the overall ride. Firm but not harsh. Very stable. I love''em. -- Review submitted: 2011-05-08

Installed on 99 Tacoma TRD 4x4. Rear is OK, but front is very soft. A jump off of the bumper test has 2 bounces & a shake - not much better than struts which had 150k on them. Cornering is heavy. Lane changes are OK, but a swerve feels unstable. I think that Tacoma owners with V-6 should give a serious look at the Bilstien Heavy Duty for ~$70 more. -- Review submitted: 2009-06-19
