I ve bought the usual run of the mill offerings such as Monroematic,Monroe Sensitrac,KYB Gas and Sachs rears in hopes of having a nice ride. I drive a concrete truck for a living so a smooth ride means a lot to me. All of these aftermarket shocks start to go flat after six months. On a Chevy Tracker, you have to have good rear shocks because this SUV hasn t got a rear sway bar. Thus the necessity of good shocks. I found about these Koni Yellow Sport struts and shocks a year ago and Tire Rack finally had a sale on them just recently. These struts and shocks were easier to install than the other aftermarkets. The Koni s have adjustable rebound so that s an added plus with me. Owning a Mazda RX-7 spoiled me ride wise and I have been looking for a shock that comes close. The Koni front struts are rebound adjustable on top of the strut with an adjustment knob that Koni supplies with their products. The Koni rear shocks are adjustable by collapsing the shock and turning either end until the rebound adjustment cam is engaged. My initial rebound adjustments are; front struts, one complete turn (++) and the rears,(+). I always set my shocks and springs up on my cars on the Playstation 2 Grand Turismo 3 video game. After driving for a week I think that readjust the rear shocks to one full turn(++) in order to tighten up the rear end and reduce the under steer just a wee bit. To adjust the rears I will unbolt the bottom shock bolt and collapse the shock and turn it half a turn more. The tires are getting a little low on tread so I might spring a set if General Grabbers. The Goodyears on the front give too harsh a ride. The Uniroyal s on the rear ride a whole lot smoother. Plus,I ll be moving to the mountains of Tennessee soon. I ll be set up for mountain driving. Thanks Tire Rack! -- Review submitted: 2013-07-12

These Springs were installed to replace Koni Sport springs that weren t long enough or stiff enough to keep the car ride height adequate to remain off the Bump stops or the geometry tolerable for street driving. A .75 to 1 inch lowered height might have been more usable for this car s particular geometry issues. Back to nearv stock height is the best solution for now. -- Review submitted: 2013-03-31

I bought these shocks from Koni directly, I just wanted to write a review on them. The steering response is amazing. It feels really smooth and accurate when you start pushing the car through tight corners. Cornering stability is excellent, being very stiff to be able to apply more power during corners and to carry much more speed through them. I have an unknown brand of lowering springs and I forgot to manually measure how much they lower the car. I believe that the springs are too stiff, because the ride is by far the harshest of any car I have ever ridden in or driven, though I haven t driven too many sports cars (harsher than 91 Camaro, 94 Corvette, 02 328i). Readers that can t handle a firm or very firm ride should stick with stock springs, though every car will feel different. I also use this car for Autocross events and the performance is a little lacking due to me still using all-season tires which are much too hard for competition. I like that all 4 shocks are adjustable even though they are advertised as non adjustable. I need to race more to feel any difference in firmness. -- Review submitted: 2012-12-28

I purchased a single Koni Sport replacement insert for my custom built coil-over race struts. Was suprised to see that this new insert had been almost totally re-engineered from the earlier set I purchased. New insert appears to be re-buildable, where previous units were sealed, and new unit now has better retainer nut design. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to getting my car back on track! -- Review submitted: 2012-12-06

These spring are a dedfinate inprovement over the stock springs. Combined with Koni struts and shocks this IRS equiped mustang certainly handles like its on rails. lowering this vehicle required the use of camber ajustment bolts as well as a C/C kit to correct the excessive camber. I am also running off-set front lower control arm bushings to increase caster and of course a bump-steer kit. All this created an incredible handling street machine. -- Review submitted: 2012-08-24

Put the Koni Sports (yellow) with H&R Sports. This is the way the car should have come! My 328 sedan was a non sport model. At the auto cross it wallowed around before the shocks/springs. With the new shocks/springs, a drive in the twisty mountain roads showed little body roll, and the car is balanced! The shocks are adjusted to near soft setting and the ride is great. Before the job the car was like a Lincoln, now it IS a BMW! -- Review submitted: 2012-07-02

My wife bought me two of the Koni Sport single adjustable shocks for my birthday thanks to Tire Racks wish list feature! The car is a convertible and is lowered with a street version Ground Control coil over kit (sweet!). I bought the car with the coil over kit which had the KYB AGX shocks front and rear. The front shocks feel fine but I take my three kids to school over rough roads and even with the rears set at the highest setting the AGX s could not control the rear end over mild bumps. I had used Koni shocks on my Volvo with great results so I wish listed a couple for the Camaro rear end. Problem Solved. I have them set on one full turn from soft; what the instructions call "Sport" and the ride is so much better in all circumstances. My wife mentioned the Tire Rack was super easy to deal with and the shocks were on sale to boot! -- Review submitted: 2012-04-27

I installed the SPC camber adjuster bushings specifically to get more negative camber to preserve the outer edges of my Rcomps at track events. With stock bushings I could only get -1.5 degrees front camber and this was not enough for track events. With the SPC bushings I was able to adjust the front to -2.5 degrees camber which has resulted in my Rcomps lasting 10--12 days at the track rather than 6-8 previously. Turn in is improved and understeer is reduced. Surprisingly I noticed very little increase in NVH with these bushings compared to the Rubber OEM ones. While the increased camber is bound to increase inner edge tire wear on my street tires, I really have not noticed anything excessive . I do 3 or 4 track weekends each year and the savings in track tires far outweighs any loss of life in the street tires. If you track your VW or Audi and wear the outer edge of your tires too rapidly, this is a good product. -- Review submitted: 2011-10-23

The car that the suspension components are on is a track only car.

- The drop in height was not as expected, to the point that the back was about 1" higher than the front. Most likely the reason for the false height is that H&R s height expectations are based on a street car and not a stripped out track car.

- While the springs are stiff when static, there is a considerable amount of body roll when on track. These spring are labeled wrong and are not "Race Springs" as they are far too light for the weight of a front engine car on the track

- The Koni s seam ok, however, in order to adjust them, they have to be removed from the car.

- I find that between the H&R Race Springs and the Eibach antiroll bars that the car pitches and rolls far more than a track car should.

Overall, I would not recommend purchasing these components if you plan on taking your car anywhere near a track. -- Review submitted: 2011-09-21

The H&R anti-sway bar I installed on my 2003 Passat has two firmness settings. I first tried the firmest setting and liked the result except for one very anoying thing. It created a high pitched vibration in the steering wheel at speeds over 50 MPH. Cound not stand the vibration so I switched to the softest setting. That worked very well. The vibration over 50 MPH went away but I still had a significant improvement in roll stiffness. Now for the Koni sport shocks. At higher speeds they work very well and give excellent control of suspension/spring movements. BUT they don t feel as good as I would like in the way they control the suspension movements for a comfortable ride. At lower speeds and over bumpy roads surfaces I find the Koni Sports to give nearly harsh ride quality. I would like to contrast this good news news bad news situation using the Konis on my 2003 Passat Station Wagon with the KYB adjustable struts I had installed on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. KYB has done a much better job than Koni in combining surpurb suspension control with a combination of jounce and rebound control that allows a much more confortable ride quality at lower speeds than do the Konis on my Passat. If KYB offered adjustable struts and shocks for my Passat I would buy them hands down over the Konis. But they don t so I am sticking with the Konis which have the shortcoming of poor ride quality at lower speeds on rough road surfaces. Are you listening KYB (and Koni)? -- Review submitted: 2011-07-11

Before I installed the Eibach sportline springs, I had Skunk2 sleeved coilovers which are known to be very very stiff and horrible ride quality. I rated these based from stock set and previous Skunk2 sleeved coils.

First impression was the ride quality dramatically improved since I swapped out the Skunk2 s. However, I did sacrafice a bit of responsiveness and cornering stability but it was well worth it. Considering I daily drive my car and it is my commuter, I do not regret the decision made. I have the sportline springs paired with koni yellow struts which make it an excellent ride. Very well improved in every factor over stock set up minus ride quality over steep potholes/bumps. But the performance catergory is well worth the sacrafice of ride quality for much better handling, appearance and fun factor to drive my car. The only con I can think of is that the rear sits lower than the front by about half inch. other than that, I would recommend this product if you re looking to have a streetable car with decent suspension set-up. Otherwise, I would go back and go with a full coilover combo where the spring/strut is matched together from the factory. I am thinking about swapping out to Ground Control sleeved coilovers to angle the ride height as this particular coilover offers great ride quality. Afterall, ground control uses eibach springs ;) -- Review submitted: 2011-06-26

I did the koni shocks at the same time as the springs, but my impression is that shocks made more of a difference. The springs are not as firm as you would think, and they lowered my car by more than the 1.3 inches described in the literature. My guess is the drop is closer to 2 inches. The car looks great and is not impractical, but I can t switch to aftermarket wheels. The car is just too low to go to anything wider than an 8 inch wide wheel and a 225 milimeter wide tire in the front (according to my independent mechanic). Not a big deal, but it s somewhat annoying and not a situation I would have expected.

The shocks, on the other hand, are tremendous. The adjustable feature (for the front shocks anyway) comes in really handy when you switch tires. For whatever reason, my 17 inch winter tires like a looser setting than my summer tires. It takes literally five minutes to make that adjustment. I would definitely recommend the konis to anyone. -- Review submitted: 2011-03-20

At their softest setting it''s not different from stock, I didn''t notice a big change. But it''s really great to be able to change the setting to my liking. I really like the product for this reason. High speed driving is improved from stock, it feels more planted. So far my experience with the Konis has been on winter tires (General). The car is lowered a little bit more compared to stock SVT Focus, maybe 5 mm. It didn''t look lower once the Konis were installed but over time it looks like they settled a little bit and are now a little bit lower than stock SVT Focus. -- Review submitted: 2010-03-22

Do not use Koni Yellows on an Acura RSX with Eibach springs! They are too soft and will cause the Konis to fail as they did on my car. This is as much Konis fault as it is Eibachs. You need to use a stiffer, linear rate spring. Better yet, use the stock springs it is a perfect combo if you can live with the wheel gap. Handling and ride were great with the Eibachs, they just didn''t last beyond 7 months. Also, do not use coilovers on an 05-06 RSX, they don''t have the inverse wound spring on the right front and it will screw up the steering. All coilovers for the RSX are essentially designed for the 02-04s. They will "fit" all years but beware the steering on the later cars. -- Review submitted: 2009-11-18

With the H&R race springs, adjustable koni yellows, an the H&R sways the ride wasn''t really that bad, yes it was a little harsh when going over a pot holes but that''s not my fault the city is too cheap to fill them up. The focus is a really good hanlding car compaired to some others (that probley why i oversteered it into a ditch). Ok ... I originally had the pro-kit installed on my spec-v with koni adjustables!...And the car was a dream! But the moment I wanted a lower stance and better handle!..I chose the sportlines! In the begining it was great but as time and mileage went by the sportlines blew my konis and I installed kyb gr-2 s...The ride is uncomfortable...The moment the car oversees the slight crack on the road..it''s bumpy. I cannot have passengers in the backseat or the car bottoms out and bounced eveywhere(obviously sentras are 4dr)like others have said...the driver is always on a look out for any holes! I must admit the handleing is greatly improved and but the sacrifice of ride quality is great!i reinstalled my pro-kit and am happy! I do not reccommend these springs for daily driving if u live in a holey area...only on track days these springs are awesome! -- Review submitted: 2009-02-02

I''m a pretty aggressive driver. I''ve gone through several suspension setups and overall I am very satisfied with the sportline springs. I paired these up with some koni yellow sport shocks and it''s amazing. The response, stance, handling, and ride quality is outstanding. Other springs I have used are too soft, or too stiff. but these were perfect for me. I would recommend if you buy these to also get a sport type shock like the koni yellows or KYB AGX''s are great too! This is by far the best daily driver set up for someone who wants an aggressive response without risking comfort. -- Review submitted: 2008-12-20

I have an 335i E-92 with ZSP, and the handling with the stock set up was skittish at best in corners (especially on bumpy roads). Sometimes, the car would shimmy and float at the same time when I hit a series of bumps. That was not exactly a comfortable feeling. With the Konis, the car is now exceptionally connected to the road and the ride is slightly better than stock. I''m running with a full twist on the rears and 7/8 of a twist on the fronts. The steering is far more precise than stock, and body roll has diminished to a great degree. The car feels tighter and more competent. I don''t track the car, so I really can''t speak for people who are using a highly adjustable coilover set up at extremely high speeds. But on the street, at speeds up to 80 mph, my set up has been very effective and I highly recommend it.

I should note what my benchmark is. My last car was an E-46 M3. That car was an amazing handler -- precise, balanced, unflappable. My E-92 with the Konis feels better, except for the lack of an limited slip differential (which is not something shocks and springs can overcome). But the ride with the Konis is somewhat smoother than the M3''s, which could become harsh very quickly on bumpy roads.

I should also point out that I considered getting sway bars, but decided to wait and see how the shocks and springs felt first. I''m glad I did, because I don''t need sways with the Konis on the street (maybe I would if I tracked the car). -- Review submitted: 2008-09-27

After putting these struts and springs on my car, it handles and rides better than stock, even being lowered. It doesn t turn as well as I thought, but the ride quality of the Koni s are awesome. It takes bumps so much better, I don t feel tire vibrations, and it s all around much quieter. The turning is very responsive, and there is less body roll, but I ve been in other lowered vehicles before, and I would say that it turns quick, but not as well as I thought. I am completely satisfied with this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone. -- Review submitted: 2008-03-03

These rear shocks for my car only offer a ride height adjustment of "stock height" or a 20 mm rise, for trailering. I wanted a 20 mm drop. I set the firmness to about 65% of full. The suggested start point was 20% and never use 100%. At the 65% setting, this is softer than the factory rear shocks. I now would now like to try a setting of 95 % or so, but that will take about 4 hours of labour. I guess that is called, tuning. These are great shocks but one should consider the complete lowering kit for five times the material cost if supension tuning is your goal. The RR factory shock started to fail at 30,000 miles and was completely non functing at 50,000 miles. The Tire Rack has been my best experience with after market parts, delivery to Canada was fast, four days, and at a very reasonable price. I will be buying as many after market parts from the Tire Rack as required. I still have as yet to install my Hawk pads and Brembo rotors from the Tire Rack. Thanks so much. -- Review submitted: 2007-09-14

Per Stock class rules, I can only add a front bar. It definitely made the car much faster in transitions and slaloms, but took some "pivot" away. put it in right before nationals last year, hurt the first day; all tight 180 s; the second day it helped: all transitions. great adjustability, makes driving on the autobahn and 100mph alot more comfortable. but driving over broken roads is a bit bumpy but not unreasonable, mostly due to the coilovers and not the shocks I m sure, because the bumpy ride changes little with adjustment of the shocks from firm to soft. -- Review submitted: 2007-08-23

Definite ride and cornering improvement. Front drop was as advertised, rear drop was lower than advertised. Had to use the adjustable clips on my koni yellows to even the wheel well openings by raising the rear and leaving the front at stock hieght. Front seems to be about 1/4 inch higher on one side. I will let settle before contacting the good folks at tirerack. I would not be happy with the drop on my honda if it could not be adjusted by the shocks. Stock settings had it too low in the rear, even with the front wheel well having a larger opening from the factory. -- Review submitted: 2007-08-13

The Koni Sports are amazing dampers and you only have to pay a little more to get the good stuff. The ride is far better than the stock dampers and much more firm and stable in cornering and just driving around. The only gripe I have is on the 240sx the rear dampers have to be taken off of the car and the springs removed to adjust the damping of the unit. Other than that it s a great buy. -- Review submitted: 2007-07-31

They are a vast improvement over stock. They are firm without being stiff and punishing. Most people have no idea they are after market. They are fairly smooth riding and only get harsh over sharp bumps. I could not be happier. The Konis & Eibachs are great on the track for helping very smooth drivers to corner faster. If the driver s inputs are even slightly jerky as he makes braking, acceleration, gearshifting and steering transitions, it will be more than offset the advantage of the suspension improvements.

These mods made my camber just a little more negative, as expected. My tire wear has been reasonable without camber adjusters, and I like the slight additional camber on the track. I am postponing the decision about getting adjusters until I have more experience with the present setup.

I am very pleased that the lowering was exactly one inch all around. That is well within the max recommended for handling, and it allows enough room for +1 tire clearance. I did have to remove the trim from the rear tire wells for +1 tire clearance in one extreme corner, but on most tracks that would not have been necessary.

The lowering is spot on, however, the springs are softer than stock. On smooth pavement the car handles very good, but once the road becomes bumpy, it loses composure. Any firmness is due to the shocks, NOT the springs. I am very dissapointed in that aspect and feel that higher rate springs would greatly improve this kit. -- Review submitted: 2007-04-08

Koni sports arent listed as carried by the tire rack. But upon suggestion from Koni North America I called them and they did have them in stock. I had been told earlier in the week by a toyota "performance" shop that they were unavailable to them. they were inserts on all four corners. installating is greatly helped by air tools(specifically a grinder) and a vice. a major upgrade to the handling, definately worth the extra green over the non adjustable competition. (kyb agx doesnt have an application for my car.) if great handling is important to you and you dont have the 1100+ bucks for the racing suspensions, this is a worthwhile compromise. -- Review submitted: 2006-08-28

A little firmer than stock springs. Ride quality is improved, but that has more to do with the Koni s than the springs. Actually, the Koni s with the OEM springs were better. The problem with the Eibach is that it made look like the rear of the car is lower than the front. That s NOT the case. Just an illusion caused by the gap in the fender wells. Also, not sure why Tire Rack recommend that you do not use the Eibach s with Koni s. I had no problem with this setup. -- Review submitted: 2006-08-11

One thing im not liking about the springs is that the are rough on bumpy roads. you can feel the bumps and the car gets all bouncy. The combination of H&R Sport Springs and Koni Yellow shocks made an incredible difference in the overall performance of my Accord EX. Combined with 17" wheels and Avon M550 tires the suspension is so much more improved in ride quality (I prefer a firm/tight suspension) and handling it s a night and day difference. The spring and shock addition came first and improved things substantially and the wheel/tire package completed the deal. All that s left now is to increase the stock front and rear sway bar diameters and the car will be set up very nicely. The ride is now much more stable and firmer than stock yet still very quiet and comfortable. I can really trust what my car is telling me now as I have much improved road feel and feedback. -- Review submitted: 2006-07-03

The Konis and Eibachs are excellent, but the improvement over the original equipment is subtle because the original equipment was quite good too.

The drop was uniform, 1 inch all around. The range of adjustment of the Konis is excellent.

Even though I don t drive this car in winter, there was enough corrosion in the lower control arms that the mechanic couldn t remove them without damage. Buying new ones was an unexpected delay and expense.

I was unsure about whether I should choose H&R Sport Springs or an Eibach Pro Kit. I was also up in the air about choosing Bilstein or Koni shocks. In the end, I went to H&R and Koni. I couldn t be happier. The 2.7T is lowered about 2 inches in front and 1 1/4 in the rear. I ve received many compliments. I ve left the Koni s on the soft, factory delivered setting. The car rides firmer than stock, but not harsh. The car no longer "porpoises" over undulating pavement, nor does it "squat" on braking. I hope to try the car on the soft setting for my next 2-day BMW CCA autocross (I ll run my restored, and quick, 71 02ti the first day). Koni Sports are fantastic. Mainly bought to improve ride quality, but handling has improved dramatically, too. The improvement over the stock shocks is unreal. Only replaced the rears, too, as fronts are twice as expensive, but still has made a huge difference over the stock Scion xB ride which is notoriously choppy, stiff, horrible. I''ve done some serious modifications to the suspension before I bought these--new swaybars with upgraded mounts, alloy endlinks, urethane bushings wherever I could get them. Here s the word of warning, however: it takes very little effort to set these things so stiff that friends/your spouse refuse to ride in your car. If this is the case, you might have to tone down the stiffness to retain marital bliss. Adjustment is easy enough, however, that you can easily turn them up when you want to play and turn them back down again if you have passengers. At the stiffest setting even the dog refuses to ride in the car! With this set-up, however, my little japanese wagon now out-handles my wife s BMW. Fun! The biggest change you will probably notice (other than the bumps!) is that your car will stay flat around corners at higher speeds than you d previously thought possible. If you want a sport shock that you can live with when you re not playing, go for konis. Make sure you ve got some deep pockets, too, for the modifications (cutting and drilling) required on your strut housings. I''d read about this in online forums ahead of time. Even so, it took about 800 bucks and two day''s time w/o use of my vehicle for my mechanic to complete the surgery that fits the cartridges to the housings. -- Review submitted: 2006-03-04

The combination of Koni dampers and H&R springs dramatically reduced the dive and lift of the front end during hard braking and acceleration. The car was much flatter during hard cornering. It felt much easier to control at the limit and was considerably more fun to drive aggressively. The ride difference was minimal. The vehicle still absorbed large bumps well and did not transmit tar strips and other small imperfections more than with the stock set up. -- Review submitted: 2006-01-30

With adding the front adjustable shocks, sway bars and lowering springs the car handled and rode great. So I bought a set of rear Koni adjustable shocks. When I installed them, I set them at the "medium" setting like I had the fronts set at. I didn t make it down the driveway before I took them off. The ride was so stiff it was almost not drivable. So I set them to the "full-soft" setting and it was barely livable. I have taken them off twice, but with the springs the stock shocks are too bouncy, so I m living with the Koni s. The car handles great but 90% of the time your being unnecesarrily jarred. Koni needs to reset the valving on these shocks for street use. -- Review submitted: 2006-01-20

I added the Koni sports after my OEM shocks degraded within 15K miles of adding the pro kit springs. Note that the OEM shocks were not designed to be operated in the lowered state and rebound damping rapidly degraded. This is true of nearly all high pressure gas shocks. The Konis are great and can be tuned to road surfaces. I turn them to full soft for long trips, making for a great ride. Pay extra for the konis, they are worth it. A Camber kit was not needed(front or read) according to alignment specs from the shop. I also have 215/50/17 avon 550 s. The car handles sooo much better than stock, which was really poor. I have the konis set to 1/2 turn(3 turn max) firmness. The steering feedback and precision is great. Steering weighting is very consistent over bumpy roads now(we have alot of road construction in AZ). Grip is excellent, this is the best handling front drive car I have driven. There is so little body roll with the konis set to 1/2 turn, that I have trouble detecting it. Springs and shocks work together, I dont recommend changing just the spings, your OEM shocks will quickly fade, leading to poor ride and handling. I chose not to buy the eibach damper kit as the shocks were not adjustable. Adjustable shocks can be adjusted as the shocks age, retaining the good damper performance over time. -- Review submitted: 2006-01-03

Before I installed the new suspension, my car wallowed around the corners and the nose totally dove down if I had to brake hard. After installing the H&R Sport springs and Koni Sport shocks, it s like night and day. Cornering and stopping are firm and confident, and the ride is nice and smooth (I have the shocks on the softest setting because this is my daily driver -- and it s a station wagon). Also, the slight lowering makes my car look awsome! The adjustable spring perches on the shocks are a huge bonus, and they let you dial-in the height just how you want it. -- Review submitted: 2005-08-09

I was very happy with koni sport struts. They have have improved the ride and cornering of my T-6. Although I did not put the front catridge replacements on because my mechanic and I looked at what had to be done, and thought it to be unsafe. So I replaced with factory front struts. I also changed my tires to the Michlin Pilot Sports. These Koni''s really work well in the rear of the car. Keeps the back end in place alot better during higher speeds on highway and on twisty roads. thanks...Dan Q. -- Review submitted: 2005-06-17

My 1991 911 handled very well prior to this upgrade but the difference before and after are amazing. Body roll totally limited with the H&R Sport Springs and Koni Sports Struts. Update to my review of 2004-10-15. After 4000mi adjusted them from medium to softer setting (20 minute job without removal). Ride is much more comfortable for family. Marginal loss of instant steering response but no loss of grip and sweet handling. Most cars are fairly tolerant of softness variation in good quality shocks (see Milliken). Konis currently on middle setting. May try softer. Combined with 18" wheels and 40 profile tyres I have taken out the is300 s smoothness in average driving but the ride package is still impressive and handles deep bumps with aplomb. Steering more responsive, sits flat and taut through curves and handles tight bends much better. Fairly jumps out of bends from the apex. You can now hear the suspension working at low speed and you will compromise the softness a bit, but you gain brilliant handling and extraordinary grip. The gains are greater than the losses. Highly recommended. -- Review submitted: 2004-10-15

The ride height eliminated most of the gap between the wheel and the fender. I d prefer the car a little lower for cosmetic reasons. The ride is a little firmer than stock even on the softest settings, but it is still comfortable. On high speed turns, the suspension can be a little "floaty." I need to take the car on the track to test various settings, but overall, this setup handles much better than stock. -- Review submitted: 2004-10-11

These Koni front struts were a direct replacement for the Koni struts that were installed at the time I purchased the Lebaron convertable new in 1987. I always keep them adjusted very firm for a matching performance with my Z rated tires. They perform well in SCCA racing. The old struts were damaged when I hit a dip in an unfamiliar city road otherwise they would have lasted forever. I have used Koni shocks on the front of my 1971 Dodge Charger since 1975 that are still working great at 350,000 miles. The Red color brand of Koni makes for good appearance when the Lebaron is viewed from the side. -- Review submitted: 2003-06-17

This is a great setup for Golfs and Jettas alike. It''s fun ripping a corvette or a boxer through a corner or an on-ramp. I hit a cloverleaf ramp at 70 mph and the setup that is on my car did it''s job. I highly recommend this setup. Although a set of coil-overs would be pretty sweet too. -- Review submitted: 2003-01-18

Koni sport shocks installed on 1991 corvette convertible. Has soft ride suspension. I tried all 3 setpoints, finally choosing the least firm setpoint. The rear adjustment is inside frame rail requiring removal to adjust. The front is easily accessed if you might be autocrossing or on very smooth roads. This least firm setpoint on front and rear is very acceptable for ride quality and control. This is my third set of koni shocks the others were installed on a 1975 Maico the other set on a kz1000. I plan on purchasing a set of Koni specials for a 1981 firebird trans am as soon as car is in my garage this set will be purchased through tirerack.com they have a price that can''t be beat. look forward to doing business with you in very near future. Externally adjustable Twin tube low pressure Koni shocks are set midway on the rebound adjust. Rest of the suspension is stock, with new shocks accumulators recently on rear load leveling system. This is an excellent setup for aggressive driving on a 92 500E.

Took a chance since these Konis are adjustable. This shock is a perfect upgrade replacement from stock. Reminds me why we bought this car originally - handles like an M5 / M3, totally stable in any situation, with a smoother ride. -- Review submitted: 2002-09-19

Initionally, my experience with Koni sport adjustables were one of renewed and improved handling with the sacrifice in comfort.

As they broke in, they became more enjoyable. Dialing in firmness is a major plus, most of the time they remained in its softest setting. One thing to remember is that they dampen only, so body roll still exist only at a slower rate.

Overall, they''re improvement from before the installation.

P.S. I almost forgot to add- the firm setting improved acceleration, no time for settling responses. -- Review submitted: 2002-08-27

excellent combination. eibachs did not require modification of bump stops.

excellent fit. ride quality is less harsh than my stock acura rsx! the car no longer handles like a fat pig on the run for its life. the ride is very

much controlled. it used to be so under damped and softly sprung. now I would characterize it as critically damped (as opposed to over damped) and properly sprung. other passat owners must upgrade the shocks as I did if the springs are upgraded to the eibach pro kit, else under damping would result and the car will bounce up and down (faster than with the stock springs) more times than it should after hitting a bump => less control, less safe, and also annoying to some. the worst effect of the spring/shock change is that some bumps can no longer be taken for granted. but this is not so bad since I am still running on stock 205/55/16 tires, with plans to go to 225/50/16''s once this set is worn. this is the same wall thickness as the stock tires so the ride quality should not be degraded, but I will get more rubber on the road. No plans to go to plus 1. -- Review submitted: 2002-08-02

Of coarse putting race springs and performance shocks are going to make and cars suspension not handle the bumps well. I would only recommend buying the race springs if you use the car for autocross and don''t buy them if you use your car as a daily driver, the sport springs lower the car almost as much and the ride is alot more tollerable. -- Review submitted: 2002-07-08

It''s a good thing I''ve spent a lot of hours reseaching about products on the web before I purchased my suspension. It doesn''t take too much to make the ride to harsh. Here we have a lots of potholes and cracks in the pavement. With the right tire pressure and good adjusments on the Koni shocks the ride is not too harsh and not to soft. Cornering is actually a lot more fun now that the car''s center of gravity is a bit lower and the suspension more adapted to sport driving. -- Review submitted: 2002-07-03

The changes to the suspension by adding the Eibach progressive springs and more agressive shocks was very impressive. It took an average sports sedan and turned it into a true performance car. This is the best suspension set-up I''ve had. The third one''s a charm. I spent alot of money on the last two suspension''s and I''ve had my car for three years. If you don''t mind watching out for potholes or bumps this is the best suspension I think for street/autocross cars. The adjustable KONI SPORTS allow you to experiment with the stiffness(I keep them really stiff). H&R RACE SPRINGS are perfect for my application, they are stiff and lowered my car the perfect amount(not slammed). If a competition suspension is what you want I highly suggest checking this one out. -- Review submitted: 2002-04-29
