The Krawler T/A KX (KX is for Key feature: eXtreme traction) is BFGoodrich's Off-Road Maximum Traction tire for off-road enthusiasts who participate in the extreme sport of rock crawling to challenge their driving skills and the performance of their vehicles. This purpose-built rock crawling tire was developed through participation in competition as BFGoodrich worked directly with rock crawling enthusiasts.
The Krawler T/A KX features a soft tread compound based on BFGoodrich's years of off-road experience molded into an extra deep tread design with a tread pattern that combines deep, aggressive independent blocks with solid sidewall lugs. The tire's internal structure is built like some of BFGoodrich's off-road racing tires featuring twin steel belts and four nylon sidewall plies. A rim protector rounds out the package by enhancing wheel and tire protection, especially in aired-down off-road situations.
While Off-Road Maximum Traction tires are branded with the M+S symbol and able to churn through deep snow, their typical oversize applications and the absence of snow-biting sipes in their large smooth lugs can challenge their on-road wintertime traction on packed snow and icy surfaces.
El neumático Krawler T/A KX de BFGoodrich pertenece a la categoría Tracción Máxima Fuera De Carretera y fue fabricado para los entusiastas que participan en el deporte extremo de Rock Crawling (Una actividad todo terreno que busca conquistar los obstáculos más difíciles en terrenos accidentados, montañosos o construidos artificialmente; comúnmente con inmensas rocas, paredes rocosas, arena, lodo, etc.). BFGoodrich trabajó directamente con los apasionados de esta actividad, para desarrollar el Krawler T/A KX.
El Krawler T/A KX posee una mezcla de caucho suave, fabricada con los años de experiencia todoterreno de BFGoodrich, esta mezcla, es moldeada en una banda de rodamiento profunda con un patrón que combina bloques independientes agresivos con tacos sólidos en los flancos o paredes.
Internamente, el Krawler T/A® KX, esta construido, como algunos neumáticos de carrera todoterreno de BFGoodrich con correas gemelas de acero y cuatro capas de nailon en los flancos. Una pestaña protege el rin o aro, especialmente en situaciones con “poco aire”.
Los neumáticos de la categoría Tracción Máxima Fuera de Carretera poseen el símbolo M+S (lodo y nieve) y son capaces de remover nieve, pero su gran tamaño y la ausencia de pequeñas ranuras (conocidas como sipes) sobre la superficie de los bloques o tacos, pueden presentar un reto en la tracción para invierno sobre nieve compactada o superficies con hielo.
