As BFGoodrich's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes, performance sedans and modern muscle cars looking for the next level of control and fun, the g-Force Sport COMP-2 is designed to accelerate faster, corner harder and brake shorter in dry and wet conditions. However, like all summer tires, it is not intended to be driven in near freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Development of the g-Force Sport COMP-2 has been honed by decades of BFGoodrich g-Force racing where success on the street has begun with winning on the track. g-Force Sport COMP-2 tires have been chosen by the Ford Racing High Performance Driving School at Miller Motorsports Park and Skip Barber Racing for their schools and race series.

BFGoodrich's silica-infused COMP-2 compound is derived from racing technology that helps deliver sharp steering response along with wet and dry grip without sacrificing treadwear*. The compound is molded into a directional tread design with stable shoulder blocks, g-Hook intermediate ribs and twin center ribs to combine better feedback at the limit, grip at any cornering angle and straight-line stability. The tread design’s shoulder grooves, directional g-Hook intermediate grooves and wide circumferential rain channels help disperse water to resist hydroplaning and increase wet traction.

The tire features BFGoodrich’s Performance Racing Core (PRC) internal structure that includes twin, high tensile steel belts reinforced by an enhanced ETEC (Equal TEnsion Containment) System of spirally wound nylon that stabilizes the tread area to optimize the contact patch for traction at speed and in hard cornering, as well as g-Control sidewall inserts featuring up to a 40% higher sidewall stiffening structure to improve lateral stability and cornering precision.

Los neumáticos BFGoodrich de la categoría: Ultra Alto Rendimiento Para Verano han sido desarrollados para conductores de autos deportivos, cupé deportivos, sedán de rendimiento, autos musculosos modernos, que buscan el máximo nivel de control y diversión. Bajo esta premisa, el g-Force Sport COMP-2, ha sido diseñado para acelerar más rápido, tomar curvas con más firmeza y frenar en menor distancia, sobre carreteras en condiciones secas y mojadas. Sin embargo, como todo neumático de verano no fue diseñado para ser utilizado en temperaturas cercanas al nivel de congelación o superficies con hielo o nieve.

El desarrollo del g-Force Sport Comp 2 se perfeccionó gracias al éxito en las pistas de los g-Force Racing; el éxito obtenido en las carreteras, se inicio en las competencias ganadas en las pistas. EL g-Force Sport COMP 2 ha sido escogido por la escuela de manejo Ford Racing High Performance Driving School en Miller Motorsports Park y por las escuelas y series de competencia de Skip Barber Racing.

El compuesto COMP-2 con infusión de sílice de BFGoodrich, proviene de la tecnología de carrera, la cual ayuda a una respuesta más aguda al girar el volante, al mismo tiempo, ofrece agarre sobre superficies mojadas y secas, sin sacrificar el desgaste lento*. El compuesto es moldeado en una banda de rodamiento con diseño direccional que cuenta con bloques estables en los hombros, un segmento intermedio g-Hook (forma de gancho), y dos segmentos centrales para un mejor desempeño al frenar en condiciones secas, al tomar curvas y mayor estabilidad en línea recta, además el conductor puede sentir mejor el límite del neumático. En condiciones mojadas, el diseño de bloques independientes, las ranuras en forma de gancho g-Hook en los segmentos intermedios y los anchos canales circunferenciales, ayudan a dispersar el agua y ofrecer mayor resistencia al deslizamiento sobre agua (hydroplaning) y mejor tracción.

La estructura interna utiliza la tecnología PRC (Performance Racing Core, por sus siglas en inglés) y posee correas gemelas con acero resistente a tensiones fuertes, reforzadas con nailon envuelto en espiral con el sistema ETEC (Equal TEnsion Containment, por sus siglas en inglés) mejorado. Todo esto estabiliza el área de contacto para obtener mejor tracción a velocidades elevadas y al tomar curvas fuertemente. Rellenos g-Control ofrecen un 40% más de rigidez, lo cual, mejora la estabilidad lateral y precisión al tomar curvas.
