The Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT is Bridgestone's Performance Winter/Snow Run-Flat tire designed to provide temporary self-supporting run-flat mobility in case a puncture allows complete air loss. Developed for the Toyota RAV4, Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT tires are designed to allow drivers to maintain their vehicle's sporty appearance while providing wintertime traction on cold, dry, wet and snow-covered roads.

The Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT molds a high-silica content tread compound that remains pliable in cold temperatures to combine winter traction with run-flat durability. This compound is molded into a directional tread design featuring independent blocks and rounded shoulders that combine hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads with enhanced handling in cold, dry conditions. Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT tires feature the Lamellen "edge effect" (multiple biting edges in the tread blocks to help grip snow) to enhance winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to blend high-speed durability with uniform ride quality. The Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT’s structure has been specifically tuned for its intended vehicles and features Bridgestone Side Support Run-Flat technology reinforced sidewalls to support the vehicle after a puncture causes loss of air pressure.
Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT winter tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT, Bridgestone recommends using Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT tires only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

El Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT posee un compuesto de caucho con alto contenido de sílice que permanece flexible en temperaturas frías, para combinar tracción durante el invierno con durabilidad. El compuesto de caucho es moldeado en una banda de rodamiento con diseño direccional, que cuenta con bloques o tacos independientes, hombros redondeados que permiten combinar resistencia al deslizamiento en agua (hydroplaning) y agua nieve, con mejor maniobrabilidad en condiciones secas y frías. El Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT presenta el “efecto de bordes adherentes” Lamellen ( gran cantidad de bordes que “muerden” la nieve) para mejor tracción durante el invierno sin la necesidad del uso de pernos tradicionales. La estructura interna incluye correas gemelas de acero reforzadas con nailon envuelto en espiral, para mayor durabilidad y un manejo más uniforme. La estructura del Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT ha sido ajustada específicamente para los vehículos en los cuales será instalado y utiliza la tecnología Side Support Run-Flat de Bridgestone, la cual refuerza las paredes o flancos y así poder soportar el peso del vehículo en caso de perdida de presión de aire. El Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT cumple con los requisitos de la industria relacionados a condiciones severa de nieve y posee el símbolo “montaña/copo de nieve” (mountain/snowflake).
