The Blizzak LM-60 RFT is Bridgestone's Performance Winter / Snow run-flat tire developed exclusively for Mini Cooper, Mazda MX-5 and Lexus IS coupe and convertible models, as well as for BMW X5 sport activity vehicle and BMW X6 sport activity coupe drivers looking to combine winter driving traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roads with temporary extended mobility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss. The Blizzak LM-60 RFT is designed to combine the basic tread design of the Blizzak WS60 with a high silica tread compound to blend high-speed durability and dry road, cold weather handling with snow traction.

Since the current Multicell tread compounds used on Blizzak winter / snow tires are not designed to support H-speed ratings or run-flat operation, the Blizzak LM-60 RFT uses a high silica content winter / snow tread compound molded into a directional tread design that features independent tread blocks with 3-D zigzag sipes to disperse water away from the tire's contact patch, further enhancing grip. The combination provides hydroplaning resistance and greater driving and braking force on snow-covered roads.
Featuring Bridgestone's UNI-T Technology, the Blizzak LM-60 RFT's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon to provide the desired high-speed durability and ride characteristics. The internal structure has been specifically tuned on a size by size basis for the vehicles listed above and features Bridgestone Side Support Run-Flat technology reinforced sidewalls to support the vehicle after a puncture causes a loss of air pressure.
Blizzak LM-60 RFT winter / snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.
Install Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 RFT tires in sets of four only.
Due to the traction capabilities of the Blizzak, Bridgestone recommends using Blizzaks only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

El Blizzak LM-60 RFT utiliza un compuesto de caucho para invierno con alto contenido de sílice, moldeado en una banda de rodamiento direccional, que posee segmentos de bloques independientes con ranuras 3-D zigzag, que se encargan de dispersar el agua del área que hace contacto con la carretera, mejorando así, el agarre. Además, existe mayor resistencia al deslizamiento en agua (hydroplaning) y más fuerza de frenado y aceleración sobre superficies cubiertas con nieve. Este compuesto mejora el compuesto de invierno Multicell, ya que, soporta operaciones rueda flat y el código de velocidad H.
El Blizzak LM-60 RFT utiliza la tecnología UNI-T de Bridgestone y su estructura interna incluye correas gemelas de acero reforzadas por nailon envuelto en espiral, lo cual proporciona durabilidad durante el uso a velocidades elevadas y un andar confortable. La estructura interna ha sido ajustada específicamente a cada tamaño de neumático, para los vehículos mencionados arriba y posee la tecnología Side Support Run-Flat de Bridgestone, la cual refuerza las paredes o flancos, con el fin de soportar el vehículo luego de un pinchazo o perdida de aire.
