Blizzak W965 with UNI-T studless light truck winter tires were developed to combine good snow and ice traction with commercial light truck load carrying capacity. Available in Load Range E (10 Ply Rated) sizes, Blizzak W965 tires are for the drivers of most medium-duty, heavy-duty and commercial light trucks that require winter driving traction on dry, wet and snow covered roads.

The Blizzak W965 winter tire's overall combination of capabilities is made possible by Bridgestone's UNI-T technology that brings advanced tire technologies together, taking performance to a new level. Innovative tire design, construction and tread compound help maximize the tire's performance, ride quality and wear while providing traction in winter.

On the outside, Blizzak W965 studless winter tires feature a special Tube Multicell tread compound that combines microscopic pores and circumferential micro channels to help disperse the thin film of water that is generated when driving in snow and over ice. The Blizzak W965 features a deep, independent block tread design that employs zigzag sipes to provide multiple biting edges in the tread blocks to further enhance winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs. On the inside, the tread area is supported by two steel belts reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon to provide a higher level of tire uniformity while maintaining its shape at highway speeds. A polyester cord reinforced casing provides strength and durability while enhancing ride quality.

Blizzak W965 winter tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.

NOTE: The top 55% of the Blizzak W965's useable tread depth consists of the exclusive Tube Multicell tread compound. The remaining 45% consists of a standard winter tread compound. Snow platform indicators (the equivalent of "snow wear bars") are molded into the tread grooves to inform the driver as the tire's tread wear reaches 50% of the tread depth.

Install Blizzak W965 tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Blizzak W965, Bridgestone recommends using Blizzak W965 tires on all wheel positions to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

El neumático Blizzak™ W965 con la tecnología UNI-T® de Bridgestone, es un neumático de invierno desarrollado para camiones comerciales con cargas ligeras y ofrecerles buena tracción sobre hielo y nieve. Puede ser obtenido para los tamaños con Índice de Carga E (10 capas).

El conjunto de características y la capacidad ofrecida por este neumático, se debe al uso de la tecnología UNI-T® de Bridgestone (acrónimo de Ultimate Network of Intelligent Tire Technology, Red Avanzada de tecnologías Inteligentes de Neumático) , la cual, combina tecnologías avanzadas para llevar el rendimiento del neumático a un nivel superior. La construcción externa del Blizzak™ W965, posee una mezcla de caucho ¨Tube Multicell®”, que combina poros microscópicos con micro canales circunferenciales , para dispersar la delgada capa de agua que se genera al conducir sobre hielo o nieve. Un diseño profundo de la huella con bloques independientes, que cuentan, con pequeñas ranuras en las superficies; aumentan los bordes adherentes, esto resulta, en mayor tracción sin necesidad de pernos.

Internamente, la banda de rodamiento es soportada por dos correas de acero reforzadas con nailon envuelto en espiral, este, proporciona mejores niveles de uniformidad, a la vez que, mantiene la forma del neumático a velocidades elevadas. Un cordón de poliéster refuerza la carcasa y aumenta la durabilidad, al mismo tiempo que, mejora la calidad del andar.

El Blizzak™ W965 satisface los requisitos severos de la industria en relación a la nieve, y por eso, posee el símbolo “copo de nieve sobre la montaña” (snowflake-on-the-mountain).

NOTA: El 55% de la parte superior de la banda de rodamiento utiliza el compuesto “Tube Multicell®” y el 45% restante utiliza la mezcla de caucho estándar para invierno. Indicadores de desgaste en la banda de rodamiento informan al conductor cuando la banda alcanza el 50% de profundidad.
