The Ecopia EP100 is one of Bridgestone's ecologically oriented Grand Touring Summer tires developed for coupe and sedan drivers looking to combine traction, handling and comfort with reduced environmental impact. Ecopia EP100 tires are designed to enhance vehicle fuel economy by reducing tire rolling resistance along with the vehicle's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions during operation. The Ecopia EP100 is designed for dry and wet conditions, but like all summer tires is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The Ecopia EP100 employs a tread compound that applies Bridgestone's unique NanoPro-Tech (Nanostructure-Oriented Properties Control Technology) to reduce rolling resistance and energy loss while maintaining wet traction. This compound is molded into a symmetric tread design featuring rib-linked blocks nestled close together to provide uniform footprint pressure combined with high-angle, lateral grooves to further enhance braking in wet conditions. The tire also features three-dimensional (3D) curves on the tread block surface to suppress noise generated when the block is in contact with the road.

El neumático Ecopia EP100 de Bridgestone, es uno de sus neumáticos de orientación ecológica y pertenece a la categoría Gran Turismo Para Verano. Fue desarrollado para conductores de vehículos cupé y sedán, que desean combinar tracción y maniobrabilidad con confort y bajo impacto al medioambiente. Los neumáticos Ecopia EP100 han sido diseñado para mejorar el consumo de gasolina del vehículo al reducir la resistencia al rodar, conjuntamente, con la emisión de dióxido de carbono (CO2) durante su uso. Además, esta diseñado para su uso en condiciones sobre superficies secas o mojadas, pero como todo neumático de verano no fue diseñado para ser utilizado en temperaturas cercanas al nivel de congelación o superficies con hielo o nieve.
La mezcla de caucho del EP100 utiliza la tecnología NanoPro-Tech (Nanostructure-Oriented Properties Control Technology) de Bridgestone para reducir la perdida de energía y la resistencia al rodar, a la vez de mantener tracción sobre superficies mojadas . Esta mezcla esta moldeada en una banda de rodamiento con diseño simétrico con segmentos de bloques cercas uno del otro que proporcionan presión uniforme en el área de contacto, además, ranuras laterales con ángulos grandes mejoran el frenado sobre superficies mojadas. El EP100 es silencioso, ya que, utiliza curvas tridimensionales (3D) en la superficie cuando el bloque o taco hace contacto con la carretera.
