The Turanza EL400 RFT is Bridgestone's Standard Touring All-Season self-supporting run-flat replacement tire developed for Toyota Sienna* minivans originally equipped with run-flat tires. The Turanza EL400 RFT is designed to combine temporary extended mobility for a distance of at least 50 miles at up to 50 mph even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss with dry, wet and wintertime traction, even in light snow.
The Turanza EL400 RFT tires feature an all-season rubber compound molded into a symmetric tread design with straight circumferential grooves to balance dry and wet road traction with noise comfort and hydroplaning resistance. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to blend high-speed durability with uniform ride quality. The structure of the Turanza EL400 RFT features Bridgestone Side Support Run-Flat technology-reinforced sidewalls specifically tuned to temporarily support the vehicle after a puncture causes complete loss of air pressure.
*The P225/60RF17 99T-sized Turanza EL400 RFT developed for Toyota Sienna minivans originally equipped with run-flat tires feature Bridgestone's 3rd generation run-flat tire (3G RFT) technology. The 3G RFT tires are designed to offer almost the same riding comfort as conventional tires while continuing to provide temporary extended mobility in the event a puncture allows complete air loss. While Bridgestone's "3G" identification isn't molded on the tire's sidewall, it is visually confirmed by the cooling fin technology molded into the sidewalls as shown in the accompanying photos.
El Turanza EL400 RFT de Bridgestone es un neumático que puede sostener el peso del vehículo sin necesidad de aire y pertenece a la categoría: Turismo Estándar Para Toda Estación y fue desarrollado para los Toyota Sienna* equipados originalmente con neumáticos “rueda flat”. El Turanza EL400 RFT ha sido diseñado para combinar movilidad extendida temporal, (por una distancia de 50 millas y una velocidad de 50 mph, luego de perdida de aire), con tracción sobre condiciones secas, mojadas e invernales, incluyendo superficies con poca nieve.
El Turanza EL400 RFT posee un compuesto de caucho para toda temporada moldeado en una banda de rodamiento con diseño simétrico, el cual, cuenta con canales circunferenciales rectos, para balancear la tracción sobre superficies secas y mojadas, con bajo ruido y mayor resistencia al deslizamiento sobre agua (hydroplaning).
La estructura interna del Turanza EL400 RFT cuenta con correas gemelas de acero reforzadas con nailon envuelto en espiral, para proporcionar durabilidad y un andar uniforme. También, utiliza la tecnología Side Support Run-Flat de Bridgestone, para fortalecer el flanco y así permitir que los neumáticos puedan soportar el peso del vehículo luego de perdida parcial o total de aire.
*El tamaño P225/60RF17 99T del Turanza EL400 FRT, fabricado para el Toyota Sienna, equipado originalmente con neumáticos rueda flat (pueden soportar el peso del vehículo sin necesidad de aire), utiliza la tecnología de tercera generación de Bridgestone (3G RFT). Los neumáticos con 3G RFT han sido diseñados para proporcionar casi el mismo confort ofrecido por los neumáticos convencionales, a la vez de proporcionar movilidad extendida temporal en caso de perdida de aire parcial o total, a causa de un pinchazo.
