Continental's family of ExtremeWinterContact tires includes Studless Ice & Snow winter / snow tires developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, minivans and crossovers, as well as, passenger-oriented light-duty pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles looking for traction on winter's slushy, snow-covered and icy roads. The ExtremeWinterContact is designed to deliver serious performance in winter weather conditions.

The ExtremeWinterContact uses an advanced high-tech winter tread compound that remains flexible in freezing temperatures to enhance snow and ice traction. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread pattern that blends dry road handling with foul-weather traction. The elevated bases of the lateral grooves produce a stiffer tread pattern for improved dry handling while independent tread blocks featuring structured high-density sipes provide the multiple gripping edges to enhance traction and braking on snow.

ExtremeWinterContact tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.

When the ExtremeWinterContact is approximately 50 percent worn, a winter tread depth indicator molded into the design lets the driver know that the remaining tread is reaching the end of its ability to provide beneficial snow traction.

Install ExtremeWinterContact tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the ExtremeWinterContact, Continental recommends using ExtremeWinterContact only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

Winter tires are not UTQG rated.

Este compuesto de caucho es moldeado en una banda de rodamiento con diseño asimétrico que combina maniobrabilidad sobre superficies secas con tracción durante climas arduos. Las bases elevadas de ranuras laterales producen un patrón más rígido que mejora la maniobrabilidad sobre superficies secas, mientras que bloques o tacos independientes poseen gran cantidad de ranuras en sus superficies, para proporcionar más bordes que mejoran la tracción y frenado sobre nieve.

El ExtremeWinterContact cumple con los requisitos de la industria relacionados a condiciones severa de nieve y posee el símbolo “montaña/copo de nieve” (mountain/snowflake).

El ExtremeWinterContact posee unos indicadores de desgaste moldeados en la banda de rodamiento, que indican cuando el neumático alcanza un desgaste de aproximadamente del 50%, en este momento, la tracción sobre nieve ya no es favorable.
