The Grandtrek SJ5 is Dunlop's Studless Ice & Snow Winter tire developed for pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles. The Grandtrek SJ5 is designed to provide strong grip in winter weather conditions
The Grandtrek SJ5 molds Dunlop's special glass fiber-reinforced compound into a directional tread design to disperse water to help reduce the risk of slipping on packed snow and ice, enhance vehicle stability on dry roads, as well as maintain good traction on wet and slush-covered roads. Zig-zag grooves create strong snow packing pillars to enhance acceleration and braking while independent tread blocks provide the edges to help bite through snow.
The Grandtrek SJ5 radials meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the snowflake-on-the-mountain symbol.
Install Grandtrek SJ5 tires in sets of four only.
Due to the traction capabilities of the Grandtrek SJ5, Dunlop recommends using Grandtrek SJ5 tires only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

El Grandtrek SJ5 moldea un compuesto de caucho reforzado con fibra de vidrio, en un diseño direccional para dispersar el agua, reducir el derrape en hielo o nieve compactada y aumentar la estabilidad en carreteras secas, al mismo tiempo de mantener tracción sobre carreteras mojadas o cubiertas con aguanieve. Ranuras tipo zigzag, proveen mayor capacidad de aceleración y frenado; mientras que bloques independientes proveen adhesión para morder la nieve.
