Original Equipment (O.E.) All-Season self-supporting run-flat tires have been developed for a number of European, Asian and domestic vehicles sold in the United States. These tires combine temporary extended mobility in the event a puncture allows complete air pressure loss along with a versatile blend of comfort, handling and year-round traction, even in light snow.
Dunlop Self-Supporting Technology (DSST) RunOnFlat (ROF) tires incorporate special sidewall reinforcements that support the weight of the vehicle even after sustaining air pressure losses that would render conventional tires immobile. While internal tire damage will likely make replacement necessary, DSST RunOnFlat tires are designed to endure being run on while flat for up to 50 miles at speeds up to 55 mph and provide drivers the temporary extended mobility necessary to drive through stormy weather and away from dangerous situations.
Original Equipment self-supporting run-flat summer tires are most often repurchased as direct replacements for pairs and sets of worn out Original Equipment tires and Dunlop Self-Supporting Technology tires are only recommended for vehicles originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and a tire pressure monitoring system.

La tecnología Self-Supporting (DSST) RunOnFlat (ROF) de Dunlop incorpora refuerzos especiales en el flanco o pared del neumático, para poder soportar el peso del vehículo en caso de perdida parcial o completa de aire. Los neumáticos DSST ROF han sido diseñados para rodar sin necesidad de aire por 50 millas (80 km) a una velocidad de hasta 55 mph (88 km/h), esto permite que los conductores puedan salir de situaciones peligrosas.
