The Destination A/T with UNI-T is Firestone's On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire developed to meet the needs of light truck drivers who desire the look and performance needed for on- and off-road driving. Destination A/T tires are designed to blend an all-terrain tread design with a comfortable ride for sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks and vans while providing year-round traction, even in snow.
The Destination A/T uses Firestone's UNI-T technology to blend off-road traction with enhanced on-road capabilities. UNI-T is a combination of technologies that merge a comprehensive design method with innovative manufacturing features to enhance tire comfort, performance and wear.
The Destination A/T features a Long Link Carbon (a special form of carbon black) enhanced tread compound to blend wet performance and wear on the road with cut, tear and abrasion resistance off the road. The tread compound is molded into a symmetric pattern that features over-the-shoulder design, independent intermediate tread blocks and a continuous center rib to combine off-road traction with enhanced highway stability while circumferential grooves, lateral notches and sipes enhance stormy weather traction. The tire’s internal structure includes twin, high-tensile steel cord belts with a polyester cord body to enhance strength and durability.

El Destination A/T utiliza la tecnología UNI-T® para combinar tracción fuera de la carretera con buen rendimiento dentro de ella. La tecnología UNI-T® es el resultado de una combinación de tecnologías que unen un nuevo método de diseño con un proceso de fabricación innovador, que busca aumentar el confort, el rendimiento y disminuir el desgaste.
El Destination A/T utiliza Carbón de Cadena Larga (Long Link Carbon®), una forma mejorada de carbón negro que combina un buen rendimiento sobre superficies mojadas con características importantes de desgaste en la carretera y mayor resistencia al desgaste, cortes, rasguños o abrasión fuera de ella.
La mezcla de caucho es moldeada en un diseño simétrico que continua hacia los hombros y cuenta con: bloques independientes intermedios y un centro continuo, que combina tracción fuera de la carretera y estabilidad en el autopista. Canales circunferenciales, ranuras laterales y ranuras sobre los bloques ayudan a conservar tracción en climas torrenciales.
Su estructura interna, cuenta con correas gemelas de acero resistente a tensiones fuertes y una capa de cordón de poliéster en la carcasa, para aumentar la fortaleza y durabilidad del neumático.
