General's family of AltiMAX Arctic winter tires includes the AltiMAX Arctic LT, a Light Truck/SUV Studdable Winter / Snow tire developed for the drivers of heavy-duty pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, full-size vans and commercial vehicles looking for traction on winter's slushy, snow-covered and icy roads. Available in heavy-duty Load Range D or Load Range E sizes, AltiMAX Arctic LT winter tires are designed to offer high levels of traction at low temperatures and are molded to accommodate the use of optional metal studs.
AltiMAX Arctic LT radials use General Tire's All-Weather Dual Tread compound to enhance cold weather flexibility and wet traction. The compound is molded into a tread design with a Center Stability Rib and directional pattern to combine straight-line stability on dry roads with water evacuation and hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads. The AltiMAX Arctic LT radial's 270-degrees of high-density siping across the face of the tire enhances snow traction when accelerating, cornering or braking. Alternating rows of optional metal studs can be added in the shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase traction on hard packed snow and icy roads. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts on top of a polyester casing featuring General Tire's Reactive Contour Technology to react to different road conditions and maintain better contact with the road surface.
General AltiMAX Arctic LT tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.
Install Altimax Arctic LT tires in sets of four only.
Vehicles should always be equipped with equivalent tires at all wheel positions. All AltiMAX Arctic LT radials, due to their exceptional hard-packed snow and ice traction when studded, must be used in sets of four to help ensure proper vehicle control.
Molded to accept optional TSMI #12 silver-colored metallic winter studs.
NOTE: These tires are only identified "AltiMAX Arctic" on their sidewalls and are NOT actually branded with the letters "LT."

Warranties are rated on a scale of 0-5 with 5 being the highest. This rating combines all of the aspects of each tire's warranty where applicable, including: mileage/treadlife, materials and workmanship, balance and uniformity, replacement tire cost, warranty duration and any special manufacturer's warranties that apply. See official manufacturer's warranty brochure for specific details.
NOTE: New vehicle Original Equipment tire warranties often differ from those covering replacement tires. Consult your vehicle documents to confirm Original Equipment tire warranty coverage.
