The Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT (Extended Mobility Technology) tire is Goodyear's Ultra High Performance Summer self-supporting run-flat tire developed for C6 Corvette coupes, convertibles and hardtops. Featuring Goodyear's Extended Mobility Technology, these tires provide temporary mobility even after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure. The Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT is designed to blend wet and dry traction with treadwear, however like all summer tires, it is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

The Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT tires feature Goodyear's Ultra High Performance tread compound molded into a directional tread design. The design combines a continuous center rib that maintains constant road contact to enhance straight-line tracking and initial steering response with high angle tread blocks and circumferential grooves to avoid trapping water between the tire and the road to boost wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wound aramid overlays and angled rayon casing plies to combine disturbance-free operation with high-speed durability. The tire's reinforced sidewalls are capable of temporarily supporting the weight of the vehicle even after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure.

NOTE: Extended Mobility Technology tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.

El neumático Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT (Extended Mobility Technology, tecnología de movilidad extendida) de Goodyear pertenece a la categoría: Ultra Alto Rendimiento Para Verano y es un neumático “rueda flat” (pueden soportar el peso del vehículo sin necesidad de aire) que fue desarrollado para los Corvette C6. El uso de la tecnología Extended Mobility de Goodyear permite que estos neumáticos proporcionen movilidad extendida temporal, luego de perdida parcial o total de aire debido a un pinchazo. El Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT fue diseñado para combinar tracción sobre superficies mojadas y secas, con un desgaste lento. Como todo neumático de verano, no fue diseñado para ser utilizado en temperaturas cercanas al nivel de congelación o superficies con hielo o nieve.

El Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT posee un compuesto de caucho de Ultra Alto Rendimiento fabricado por Goodyear y es moldeado en una banda de rodamiento con diseño direccional. Este diseño combina un segmento central continuo que mantiene contacto constante con la carretera, para una respuesta inicial más rápida al girar el volante y mejorar la trayectoria lineal. Bloques o tacos angulados y canales circunferenciales trabajan conjuntamente para evacuar el agua del área de contacto, aumentando la tracción sobre superficies mojadas y la resistencia al deslizamiento en agua (hydroplaning).

La estructura interna incluye correas gemelas de acero reforzadas con aramida envuelto en espiral sobre y en ángulo de un armazón de rayón, esto permite combinar una operación sin interrupción con durabilidad por su uso a velocidades elevadas. Los refuerzos de los flancos o paredes son capaces de soportar el peso del vehículo temporalmente sin la necesidad de aire.

NOTA: Los neumáticos con la tecnología de Movilidad Extendida, solo son recomendados para vehículos originalmente equipados con neumáticos “rueda flat” y con sistemas de control de presión de aire.
