The Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat is Goodyear's Grand Touring All-Season self-supporting run-flat tire developed for European sedans and crossover vehicles. Featuring Goodyear's self-supporting RunOnFlat technology, these tires provide temporary mobility even after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure. Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat tires are also designed to deliver all-season traction, even in light snow.
Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat tires have a symmetric, independent tread block design featuring computer-optimized block sizes to minimize tread noise for a quiet ride. Wide circumferential channels help evacuate water from beneath the contact patch to enhance wet traction while sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for traction in light snow. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon (varies depending on size and speed requirements) for strength and high-speed durability. The tire's reinforced sidewalls are capable of temporarily supporting the weight of the vehicle even after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure.
NOTE: RunOnFlat tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.
El neumático Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat de Goodyear forma parte de la categoría: Gran Turismo Para Toda Estación y fue desarrollado para sedanes europeos y utiliautos (crossover), utilizando la tecnología RunOnFlat de Goodyear, la cual les permite soportar el peso del vehículo sin la necesidad de aire, extendiendo la movilidad del vehículo, luego de un pinchazo. El diseño del Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat le permite proporcionar tracción durante todas las estaciones del año, inclusive sobre superficies con poca nieve.
El Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat posee una banda de rodamiento con diseño simétrico, que cuenta con bloques independientes con tamaños optimizados por computadora, para disminuir el ruido y ofrecer una andar más tranquilo. Canales circunferenciales anchos ayudan a evacuar el agua del área de contacto con la carretera, reduciendo la posibilidad del deslizamiento sobre agua (hydroplaning) y aumentando la tracción sobre mojado; pequeñas ranuras en los bloques proporcionan cientos de bordes adherentes para mejorar la tracción sobre superficies con poca nieve.
