The Ultra Grip Ice+ is Goodyear’s Studless Ice & Snow tire originally developed for driving on Northern Europe’s toughest cold-weather roads. Fine-tuned to grip winter roads, Ultra Grip Ice+ tires deliver extra traction on ice and packed snow.
Ultra Grip Ice+ winter / snow tires use a dual-layer tread compound that features a soft ice-gripping rubber molded above of a harder rubber base that helps Ultra Grip Ice+ tires blend sub-freezing traction on packed snow and ice with cold-weather handling on dry roads. These compounds are molded into a V-shaped directional tread pattern that features deep, heavily siped independent tread blocks to help dig into snow and bite on ice while sweeping away water and slush to enhance wet traction and resist hydroplaning at above freezing temperatures.
Ultra Grip Ice+ winter radials meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.
Use Ultra Grip Ice+ tires in sets of four only.
Vehicles should always be equipped with equivalent tires at all wheel positions. Goodyear strongly recommends the use of winter / snow tires at all four wheel positions. Due to their snow and ice traction, Ultra Grip Ice+ tires must be used in sets of four to help ensure proper vehicle control.

El Ultra Grip Ice+ de invierno, utiliza un compuesto de caucho con capa doble. La más suave con caucho para tracción sobre hielo, esta por encima de una más dura, lo cual, ayuda a combinar tracción en temperaturas bajo congelamiento en hielo y nieve compactada, con maniobrabilidad en climas fríos sobre carreteras secas. Estos compuestos de caucho, son moldeados en una banda de rodamiento direccional con forma de “V”, que cuenta con bloques o tacos independientes, profundos y con gran cantidad de pequeñas ranuras sobre sus superficies, esto, ayuda excavar nieve y a “morder” hielo. Además, ayudan a evacuar agua y aguanieve, mejorando así, la tracción sobre mojado y la resistencia al deslizamiento sobre agua o aguanieve, cuando existen temperaturas por encima de congelamiento.
Los radiales de invierno Ultra Grip Ice+ cumplen con los requisitos de la industria relacionados a condiciones severa de nieve y poseen el símbolo “montaña/copo de nieve” (mountain/snowflake).
