The Ultra Grip Performance 2 is a Goodyear Performance Winter / Snow tire developed in Europe for the drivers of sport cars, coupes, sedans and crossovers looking for enhanced traction in a variety of winter driving conditions. The Ultra Grip Performance 2 is designed to blend dry and wet road handling in cold conditions with traction in slush, snow and on ice.
The Ultra Grip Performance 2 uses a tread compound that combines an optimized blend of polymers and advanced silica technology to maintain flexibility at low temperatures for enhanced traction on dry and wet roads, as well as on snow-covered and icy surfaces. The compound is molded into a directional tread design featuring Hydrodynamic V grooves that help evacuate water and slush while saw-tooth shaped circumferential intermediate grooves enhance snow traction. Goodyear's Adaptive SipeGrip Technology combines three-dimensional (3D) sipes in the shoulder and intermediate zones that lock together to improve dry and wet road handling while two-dimensional (2D) zigzag sipes in the center zone generate extra grip during acceleration and braking in slippery conditions and during dry braking.
All Ultra Grip Performance 2 tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.
Ultra Grip Performance 2 tires feature winter wear indicators to identify when the remaining tread depth remains suitable to provide beneficial snow performance.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Ultra Grip Performance 2 tires, Goodyear recommends using Ultra Grip Performance 2 tires only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.
El neumático Ultra Grip Performance 2 de Goodyear pertenece a la categoría: Rendimiento Para Invierno y fue desarrollado en Europa para conductores de autos deportivos, cupé, sedán y utiliautos (crossovers), que buscan mejor tracción durante las diferentes condiciones climáticas encontradas durante el invierno. El diseño del Ultra Grip Performance 2, permite combinar maniobrabilidad sobre carreteras secas y mojadas en condiciones frías, con tracción en hielo, nieve y aguanieve.
Para mejorar la tracción sobre carreteras secas, mojadas, al igual que, con hielo o cubiertas con nieve; el Ultra Grip Performance 2, utiliza un compuesto de caucho con una mezcla optimizada de polímeros y una tecnología avanzada de sílice, que le permite mantener flexibilidad en temperaturas bajas.
Este compuesto es moldeado en una banda de rodamiento direccional, que cuenta con ranuras Hydrodynamic Vque ayudan a evacuar el agua y agua nieve. Ranuras circunferenciales intermedias en forma de dientes de sierra, mejoran la tracción sobre superficies con nieve.
