Kumho's family of Ecsta (x' ta) performance tires is designed to enhance every vehicle's capabilities. The Ecsta MX (KU15) member of the family is Kumho's Extreme Performance tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, performance sedans and sporty coupes. The Ecsta MX is designed to deliver Kumho's ultimate level of dry road performance while maintaining good wet traction. The Ecsta MX is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The Ecsta MX molds Kumho's advanced silica tread rubber compound into a directional tread pattern that features massive, stable blocks to increase cornering traction and steering response, while four large, circumferential and multiple directionally aligned lateral grooves resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The tire's structure includes two wide steel belts that are reinforced by spirally wound nylon to provide excellent strength, uniform ride quality, and high-speed capability while the sidewalls are tuned to resist lateral deflection and to provide handling control and positive feedback.
El neumático Ecsta MX (KU15) de la familia Kumho pertenece al segmento de Máximo Rendimiento Para Verano y fue diseñado para autos deportivos, cupé deportivos y sedán de alto rendimiento. Este neumático ofrece el mejor rendimiento para carreteras secas, a la vez que mantiene tracción en mojadas. Como todo neumático de verano, no fue diseñado para ser utilizado en temperaturas cercanas al nivel de congelación o superficies con hielo o nieve.
El Ecsta MX moldea una formula avanzada de silicona en la banda de rodamiento en un diseño direccional que presenta bloques estables en los bordes para una mayor tracción al tomar curvas y una respuesta rápida al girar el volante. Posee cuatro ranuras circunferenciales en la parte central de la banda de rodamiento y ranuras laterales múltiples alineadas para resistir el deslizamiento en agua (hydroplanning) y aumentar la tracción en suelos mojados.
La estructura interna presenta dos correas anchas de acero reforzadas con nailon enrollado en espiral que proveen una fuerza excelente, un manejo uniforme y capacidad para alta velocidad. Los flancos están diseñados para resistir la desviación lateral y proveer mayor control y comunicación al conductor.
