The Ecsta AST (KU25) is the High Performance All-Season member of Kumho's Ecsta family of performance tires for the drivers of modified coupes, sedans and sports cars. The Ecsta AST is designed to offer the exotic looks, traction and value tuners want in a tire while providing year-round traction on dry and wet roads, as well as through occasional light snow.

The Ecsta AST molds Kumho's advanced carbon, all-season tread compound into a directional tread design with shoulders designed to increase cornering grip while the center provides linear responsiveness and high-speed stability. Dual-angle cross grooves help pump water and slush through the tire's footprint to increase hydroplaning resistance while multiple sipes in each tread block increase the number of biting edges to enhance light snow traction. The tire's structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon, along with a polyester cord ply carcass reinforced by a hard sidewall filler to help resist distortion at high speeds and while cornering.

El neumático ESCTA AST (KU25) de Kumho pertenece al segmento de Alto Rendimiento Para Toda Estación y pertenece a la familia ECSTA de neumáticos de rendimiento para conductores de cupé modificado, sedán y autos deportivos. El diseño del ESCTA AST provee a los modificadores de autos: una apariencia exótica, tracción durante todo el año, ya sea, sobre superficie seca, mojada o con poca nieve.

La banda de rodamiento del ESCTA AST contiene una formula avanzada de carbón y esta moldeada en un diseño direccional. Los hombros tienen la función de adherirse más a la carretera en los cambios de dirección, el centro ofrece respuesta linear y estabilidad a velocidades elevadas. Ranuras tipo V conectadas a dos canales circunferenciales extraen el agua y aguanieve del área de contacto aumentando la resistencia al deslizamiento en agua (hydroplaning), pequeñas ranuras arriba de los bloques aumentan la tracción en superficies con poca nieve.

Internamente, cuenta con correas gemelas de acero reforzadas con nailon envuelto en espiral y un capa de cordón de poliéster en la carcasa, la cual, es reforzada con rellenos fuertes en los flancos para resistir a la distorsión a velocidades elevadas y al tomar curvas.
